LPG TANK WITH REGULATION SYSTEM
1. Locatethe tankand regulatoron deck, cabin top orin avaportightcompartment, insulated
fromthe hull interiorand protected fromclimatic extremes by a housing vented to the open
air.The ventshould be atthe bottomofthe compartmentso thatif the LPGshould leak
fromthe system,it will drainoverboard
NOTE: LPGis heavierthanair and if allowedtosettle or accumulate,and if ignited, IT
WILL CAUSE AN EXPLOSION!!
2. The LPGtankshould be securely bolted downbythe tankfeetandin the position inwhich
the tankwasdesigned.LPGis atwo-phase(liquid/vapor) fueland only vaporwithdrawal
fromthe tankis safe.Liquid withdrawal fromthe tank could be dangerous.
3. IMPORTANT: The LPGtankvalveoutletfitting andregulatorsystemnut, bylaw,must
haveleft-hand threads. The nutis somarked withaslot.
4. The LPGtankvalveoutlet fitting does notrequirepipe dope orTeflon tape and shouldbe
attachedtothe regulation systemnutdry andclean to keep foreign materials outofthe
system.Whenassembling the regulation system,use ahigh quality sealantonly on all
male pipe threads.
5. The regulatormust havea0to 300 psi pressuregauge located on the tank pressureside of
the regulator.
6. If the LPGtankis to be located on deck orexposed to waterspray,pointthe regulator
systemso that watercannotrun intothe regulatorventportlocated just abovethe LPG
outletconnection,or into the bodyofthe pressuregauge.
7. Affix the caution labelsupplied with the stovein the immediate vicinityofthe tankwherethe
label will be plainly visible.(Referto ABYC Standard#A-1)
8. The LPGsupply line should be U.L.listed hose with machine-crimped fittings. Asingle
continuoushose withoutcouplingsorteesis strongly recommended.Keep the numberof
fittings to an absoluteminimum.Everyconnection is a potential leak!
9. Run the hose fromthe LPGregulation systemto the appliance with6inch minimumradius
turns, so the hosedoesnot kink, cutting off the fuelsupply to the appliance.Note:Fuel
pressureis less than ½ psi.
10.Keephose away from heator abrasion.Use plastic ties orclamps tosecurethe hose to the
boatstructureor bulkhead.

SUMMARYFOR CHECKINGLPG SYSTEMAND LPG APPLIANCE
1. After the LPGtankhasbeeninstalled,the regulation systemconnected,the hose run and
connected to both the applianceand the regulator,slowly crack open the LPGtankvalve
and observethe pressuregauge on the regulation system. The gauge should read
approximately 110 psi at70°F. (Higherif warmer,orlowerif cooleratmospheric
temperature.)
2. Close the LPGtankvalveandobservethe pressuregauge.It should hold aconstant
pressurereading.If you can detect afalling in pressureovera3minuteperiod oftime,
thereis aleak.
LEAKS CAN BE DANGEROUS!!
a. If aleak occurs, check all appliance burnerstosee ifin “Off”position.
b. Make surethe ovencontrol is in “Off”position.
c. Check all fittings withasoap and water solution.
NEVER USE FLAMETOCHECK FOR LEAKS.
3. If you cannotfind the leak, contact SeawardProducts promptly.
4. PRESSURE GAUGE:The primaryfunction ofthe pressuregauge atthe regulatoris to
check for leaks,butit mayalso behelpful in determining the fuel level in the tank.When the
liquid propanein the tanknearsthe empty state,the gauge will indicatealow pressure.
Since the vaporpressureofthe propane varieswith the ambientand the temperature,
using the gauge asafuellevelindicatormayrequiresomeexperience.In general, when
the gauge shows below40 psi, you should consider refilling the tank.
SPECIALNOTE ABOUT YOUR LPGREGULATOR: It is recommended thatonly ahigh
quality LPGregulatorbe used with anyofSeawardProducts LPGappliances.It is imperative
thatthe regulator be setat11-inchwatercolumnso thatthe oven operatescorrectly,andthe

flame heighton the top burnerscooks efficiently.If the regulatorpressureis greaterthan 11-
inch watercolumn, the flamecan impinge on the top burnerbowl causing discoloration on
stainless bowls andmaychip the porcelainon the porcelainbowls.
OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSSUMMARYFOR ALPG SYSTEM
1. Close tank valveimmediatelyin anyemergency.
2. Besureall appliancevalves areclosed beforeopening tank valve.
3. Close tank valvewhenever applianceis notinuse.
4. Testsystem for leakage atleast twice amonthand after anyemergencyinaccordance with
the following procedure:
Withappliancevalvesclosed, and the tankvalveopen,notepressureon the gauge.Close
cylindervalve.If the pressuredrops,asindicated onthe gauge,this tells you thereis a leak
in the system.Locate leakage byapplication ofaliquid detergentorsoap andwater
solution toall connections. Afterleakhasbeen repaired,recheck systemby repeating the
abovetest. If leakcannotbe repaired,close the tankvalveimmediately anddo not use this
system.Remember LPGis heavier thanair and if allowed to reachbilges, machineryspace
or other enclosed spaces,it can be extremely dangerous.
5. It is always a good idea to havean approved ABC type fireextinguisher in the galleyarea.
LPGSTOVE WITH
IGNITER
TOLIGHT TOP BURNERS WITH SAFETYSYSTEM
1. Pushinknob and turnto “IGN” (Ignite)position.
2. Hold knob in andpress the “BURNER IGNITE”button.
3. Hold knobinfor5to 10 secondsuntil the thermocouple is hot. This will activate the safety
magnet.
4. Release knob and setto desired setting.If the flamedoesnotstayon,the thermocouple is
nothotenough.(RepeatSteps1-3).
SPARK FROM THE ELECTRODE HAS TO CUT ACROSS THE GAS TO IGNITE
READILY.IF THE SPARK IS JUMPING BELOWTHE BURNERPORTSMAKE
SURE THE POINT OF THE ELECTRODE IS CLEANSOTHATTHE SPARKS WILL
JUMP ABOVE THE PORTS.

CAREAND
CLEANING
Regularcleaning with asoft cloth and awarm detergentsolution isgenerally enough to keep
youroven clean and beautiful. This is done whenthe range is cool. Use adry cloth orpaper
towel to cleansplattersandspills whensurfaces arewarm.
PORCELAIN ENAMEL-Porcelainenamel is glass fused on steelatveryhigh temperatures. It
is notextremely delicate,butmust be treated as glass. Sharpblows, radical changes in
temperature,etc., will cause the enamel to chip or crack. Somefoods contain acid which will
dull the finish ofenamel. Vinegar,lemon juice,tomatoes,and milk areafew.Toavoid this
happening,simply wipe surfaceclean immediately whenanyfood is spilled on the enamel.
Remember,the surfaceis glass and must be given consideration incleaning.Steel wool pads
and coarse grittycleansing powders or chemical grease remover will do agood job andyetnot
harm the finish.
NOTICE: Whenthe unit is in operation,the outside surfaceswill becomehotand caremust be
taken toavoid contact with panelsurfaces. Handlesand knobswill remain comfortable tothe
touch.
CHROMEAND STAINLESSSTEEL-The best wayto clean metal surfaceson your range is
to wipe themwith adampcloth,then drythoroughly.Stubbornspots caused byspillage and
discoloration fromheatmaybe removed bythe use oflemon juice,vinegar,or chromepolish.
Caremustbe used tokeep theseawayfrom porcelainenamel surfaces.
NEVERusecoarse cleansers, steelwoolscouring padsormetalbrushestoclean chrome.
These will make deep scratcheson the chrome.The scratchescannotbe removed.

SEAWARD PRODUCTSwarrants the products delivered will be:
A. Free from(1) encumbrances and (2) defects inmaterial and workmanship under the normal
use and service.
B. Will meetapplicable specificationsand descriptionsattimeofdeliveryto BUYER.
The obligation ofSEAWARD underthis warranty is limited to the repair,rework, or
replacement, atSEAWARD’Soption,any partorcomponentthereof, which examination
disclosesto oursatisfaction to havebeen nonconforming ordefective.SEAWARD, after
establishing customer’s purchase date and determining problemtobe underwarranty,will
eitherrepair the product attheir factoryorauthorized service centerandallow laborandparts
fortwo(2)yearsfrompurchasedate.Transportation chargesarethe responsibility ofthe
customer.Conditions notcovered under warrantyare:
(1) Porcelain enamel
(2) Glass
(3) Routine maintenancethatmaybe required
The foregoing warranty andcondition shall apply to anyrepaired,reworked,orreplaced
products,partorcomponentsupplied by SEAWARD and shall in no eventbe liable to BUYER
orBUYER’S customersforanyincidental or consequentialdamages, orloss ofuse,orother
losses, however occasioned.
Implied warrantiesofmerchantability andofthe fitness ofthe product forany purpose are
warranted for a period oftwoyears onparts and labor.
SEAWARD makes no warranties,expressed or impliedafter thattime.
Somestatesdo notallowlimitation on howlongan implied warranty lasts or forthe
exclusion orlimitationsofincidental orconsequentialdamages, therefore,the abovelimitations
