ABOUT THE ZODIAC PRO SELFIE KIT
Thank you for purchasing the Zodiac Pro selfie kit.
The Zodiac Pro has been specifically designed to make taking selfies and group photos much
easier. Now you can mount your compatible smartphone on the supplied mini tripod and
remotely take photos up to 30 feet (10m) away.
The
Zodiac Pro is truly multi-functional. You can pair tablets as well as larger phones and even
use the shutter without the tripod giving you a range of wide-angle, photographic opportunities.
Additionally, by selecting your smartphone’s different camera modes, you can use the shutter
to take great slow motion, time lapse and panoramic photos. By selecting video mode, you can
also start and stop video recording*.
Just Bluetooth
®
pair the Zodiac Pro shutter with your compatible iOS 5.0+ or Android 4.3+
device, pose for your selfie and press the button on the shutter. You can even mount sports
cameras such as GoPro
®
as well as digital compact cameras and mini camcorders (note that
these devices require the use of their own timer, time-lapse function or separate remote
controller to operate them at a distance).
The

3.0 technology made in the USA
which guarantees you instant pairing as well as reliable and secure connections every time.

IMPORTANT
Please note that the supplied Bluetooth
®
shutter is not compatible with Windows
®
, Blackberry
®
or any other smartphone running non-iOS/Android operating systems. This device should not
be used in or near water nor exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures including direct
sunlight.
Although the shutter may work with some popular 3rd party applications, we do not recommend
nor provide support for them.
Applies to iOS and most Android devices. Note that the availability and function of these photographic and video
modes depends upon your cellphone manufacturer’s implementation of Android.

MOUNTING YOUR DEVICE ON THE TRIPOD
The Zodiac Pro mini tripod comes neatly folded for added convenience
and portability. Underneath the main tripod leg, you will find two smaller
legs. Rotate the left one clockwise to its maximum possible rotation.
Repeat for the right one in a counter-clockwise direction.
MOUNTING COMPACT CAMERAS & MINI CAMCORDERS
There is no need to remove the securing bolt nor change the mount that is already fitted to the
tripod. Simply locate the tripod thread on your device and screw it to the 1/4” screw that
protrudes from the mount.
MOUNTING CELLPHONES
Unscrew the securing bolt and remove the camera mount. Place the cellphone mount into the
bracket and tighten the securing bolt.
MOUNTING SPORTS CAMERAS
Unscrew the securing bolt, remove the camera mount and place your sports camera’s mounting
bracket directly into the tripod mount. Then tighten the securing bolt.

shutter comes with 2 Panasonic
®
CR2016 batteries. One is preinstalled
and we have provided another as spare.
Be sure to slide the battery cover back to the closed position. Do not attempt to lift or tilt it.

REPLACING THE BATTERY
Depending on usage and storage conditions, the pre-installed battery should be good for a
reasonable period. When you need to replace battery, please follow the instructions below.
Hold the shutter logo-side down with the battery cover facing you. Carefully slide the battery
cover to remove it. Insert the new battery ensuring that it is inserted face down so the positive
pole is facing upwards.

SHUTTER – HOW TO PAIR WITH SMARTPHONES
Note that the Bluetooth
®
shutter is designed only for use with iOS 5.0+ and Android 4.3+
devices such as cellphones and tablets. It will not pair with sports cameras or digital compact
cameras.
Please refer to the following diagram when pairing the remote shutter.
Please follow the steps below to pair the remote shutter to your Bluetooth
®
enabled device:
1. Activate Bluetooth
®
on your device in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Slide the shutter ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The blue LED light should illuminate
and then flash intermittently.
3. Wait for ZODIAC PRO to appear in your Bluetooth
®
device list.
4. You must select/click ZODIAC PRO to pair. The blue LED light will switch off when
successfully connected.
5. Your shutter is now ready to remotely take photos on your device.

IMPORTANT STEP FOR ANDROID USERS
Android users need to check their device's camera settings are configured correctly otherwise
the shutter button might operate its zoom function and not the camera shutter.
Therefore, if this happens, please follow the steps below to ensure that your "Volume Key" is
set to operate the "Camera Key". If your device does not offer this option, you may need to
download the "Camera 360" app by PinGuo Inc. (see page 8) to use the remote shutter.
• Open Camera application
• Click 'gear' icon for Settings
• Click option 'Volume Key'
• Click 'The Camera Key'

TAKING PHOTOS WITH THE REMOTE SHUTTER
Now simply open your device’s native camera app, mount your phone in the tripod (if required),
pose for your photo and press the button on the remote shutter.
A NOTE ON COMPATIBILITY
The Zodiac Pro is nearly 100% compatible with Bluetooth
®
enabled Apple™ iOS devices.
However, due to the wide implementations of Android by all the various cellphone manufacturers,
we cannot guarantee 100% compatibility with all Android phones.
Therefore, if the Bluetooth
®
shutter fails to remotely operate your
native camera, we recommend downloading the “Camera 360” app
by PinGuo Inc.
Look for this icon in your app store.
SWITCHING OFF & DISCONNECTING
When you’ve finished using the remote shutter,simply slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF
position.
Optionally, switch off Bluetooth

on your device.

This product has been extensively tested with all major cellphone brands and models. In the
event of technical problems, we recommend you check the following:

Upgrade your cellphone or device to the latest iOS or Android version (particularly important
for older devices). Note that only these 2 platforms are supported.
Ensure your device's Bluetooth® is activated and is properly paired and connected in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
If when pressing the shutter button, your device's volume or zoom function is activated,
ensure that you have properly configured the volume key to operate the camera shutter
(see above). Note that this step may be differ depending on your device manufacturer's
implementation of Android.
Ensure you use the shutter with your device's native camera app only. Some Android
smartphones, however, may require the use of the "Camera 360" app by by PinGuo Inc. in
order to function.
Try removing all other Bluetooth® devices (you can reconnect them later), restart your
device and follow the instructions from the beginning.
We do not recommend or support this product for use with any 3rd party apps including
Snapchat. Some apps may work, however, but due to the huge number available, their
complexity and constant updates, it would be impossible to provide high levels of technical
support.

The Zodiac Pro from Selfie World® comes with a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.
If a defect is found, we will be happy to repair or replace your product. A defect is defined as
any fault in the product’s materials or workmanship, which is present at the time of purchase.
The following conditions are not classified as defects and are not covered by the Manufacturer’s
Warranty:

the product fault. We will require your proof of purchase.
