3 GENERAL INFORMATION
3.1 Scope of supply
1 x Base+ (Fig. 1), 3 x gasket rings (Fig. 1, No. 2), 1 x cleaning brush (Fig. 2),
1 x installation tool (Fig. 3)
3.2 Intended use of Base+
Base+ is used to dissolve the specially designed Sticks+ (Fig. 4) and enriches the
shower water with salt or salt combined with essential oil for personal care. The
care products are added to the shower water and form a homogeneous saline so-
lution. The use of emulsiers and chemical additives can be avoided by using salt,
the natural carrier material.
Because the Sticks+ (Fig. 4) are designed specically for the Base+ (Fig. 1), we
only recommend these for the Base+. Other care products must not be used
under any circumstances, as they can damage the device. In the event of impro-
per use or the use of additives that are not intended to be used with the pro-
duct, the warranty will be expired and we refuse to accept any liability for per-
sonal injury or damage to property!
Only suitable for use with handheld shower heads!
Using substances that are not intended to be used with the product may be
harmful for your health.
3.3 Permitted care products
The Sticks+ are for enriching the shower water. They consist of salt or salt com-
bined with essential oils. All the information about our products can be found on
our homepage www.showerplus.de.

Depending on the Stick+ that is being used, (Fig. 4), the wet room area may be-
come slippery. Please rinse with clean water after use.
Do not leave children or people with disabilities unattended in the shower.

3Connect the shower hose to the Base+, not forgetting the third gasket ring (Fig. 1,
No. 2).
4Tighten the screw connections using the installation tool (Fig. 3).
Use a pipe wrench with jaws to detach the shower hose; we accept no liability
for using tools that are not permitted or not listed here.
Wear protective gloves for all work and cover your shower or bath with a towel
to prevent damage from falling parts.
Only carry out installation and dismantling work when the water supply is
turned off.
Do not forcibly tighten the screw connections (Fig. 3, No. 3) with the installa-
tion tool.
The Base+ has only one direction of ow. Be aware of the inlet and outlet
(Fig. 1, Nos. 3 & 8)!
Insert the gasket rings (Fig. 1, No. 2) between the shower mixer valve and the
Base+, and between the Base+ and the shower hose.
5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
You can shower for approximately 3 minutes using the system product that con-
sists of the Base+ (Fig. 1) and the corresponding shower product, the Stick+ (Fig. 4).
We recommend a water temperature of 37 °C. The Stick+ is a dosed single applica-
tion, that provides the salt concentration you need in your shower water.
5.1 Step-by-step operation
1Open the Base+ by turning the sealing plug (Fig. 1, No. 6) to the left.
2Insert the Stick+ (Fig. 4) and close the Base+ by turning the sealing plug to the
right (Fig. 1, No. 6).
3Turn on the water of your shower or bathtub.
4 Operate the changeover switch (Fig. 1, No. 1) of the Base+ in order to start your
salt shower.
5.2 Using the selector function
The Base+ allows you to choose between two operating modes. The rst opera-
ting mode is the ow-through mode. The full volume of water ows through the
device unimpeded. In this case, the water is not enriched with salt or salt combined
with essential oil. This operating mode is available when the changeover switch is
in the neutral (zero) position and can be used to rinse away shower gel and other
shower products or for cleaning the shower and bathtub. The water ows around
the inserted Stick+ (Fig. 4) by pulling out the changeover switch (Fig. 1, No. 1), which
dissolves and enriches the water (see 5.1, Step 4).
When switching between operating modes, there may be large temperature
differences which, in extreme cases, may lead to scalding. Particular care must
be taken with instantaneous water heaters. Please also mention this to other
people who are using your shower.
5.3 Opening and closing the Base+
Do not turn the sealing plug in order to open the Base+ while using it (Fig. 1,
No. 6). This can lead to personal injury or damage to property. The manufactu-
rer accepts no liability for incorrect operation.
Dropping the sealing plug may lead to personal injury or damage to property.
6 MAINTENANCE AND CARE
6.1 Permitted cleaning aids
In regards of cleaning the Base+ a cleaning brush (Fig. 2) is included in your delivery,
which can be used to clean the receiving chamber from the inside.
6.2 Cleaning the Base+
Use the cleaning brush included in the scope of delivery to clean the inside of the
Base+. Open the Base+ by turning the sealing plug (Fig. 1, No. 6) and guide the clea-
ning brush through the receiving chamber. The external surfaces of the Base+ can
be cleaned in the same way as for standard chrome ttings. Limescale should be
removed with the usual cleaners made for that purpose.
Never use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents to clean the Base+.
Dropping the sealing plug can lead to personal injury or damage to property.
Protect your shower or bathtub with a towel or something similar in order to
prevent potential damage. Be aware of the position of your limbs to ensure that
the sealing plug cannot hit you.
6.3 Maintenance of the Base+
The Base+ does not require any special maintenance.
If the receiving chamber (Fig. 1, No. 5) is so badly scratched that it is no longer
transparent, please contact us at kundenservice@showerplus.de. We will be
happy to assist you.

defective workmanship will be repaired or replaced by us free of charge. Replaced
parts should become our property. Wearing parts such as rubber seals, the receiving

rials must also be disposed of properly.
9 TROUBLESHOOTING AND FAULT RECTIFICATION
Defective wearing parts can lead to leaks. This can be repaired by replacing
the components in question. A slight leakage doesn‘t lead to a malfunction of
the Base+. Further information on troubleshooting can be found on our web-
site under FAQ.
