Models FHA2035-U1/-R1 and FHA2036-U1/-R1
Trim Kits for Models FHB2001-U1/-R1 and HB2002U1/-R1 Backboxes
INTRODUCTION The Models FHA2035-U1/-R1 and FHA2036-U1/-R1 Trim Kits from Siemens
Industry, Inc., are used to semi-flush mount FHB2001-U1/-R1 and FHB2002-U1/-R1
backboxes, respectively. The FHA2035-U1 and FHA2036-U1 Trim Kits are black and
the FHA2035-R1 and FHA2036-R1 Trim Kits are red.
FHA2035-U1/-R1 and FHA2036-U1/-R1Trim Kits are for indoor use only in dry
environments.
COMPATIBILITY The FHA2035-U1 is designed for use with the FHB2001-U1; the FHA2035-R1 is
designed for use with the FHB2001-R1.
The FHA2036-U1 is designed for use with the FHB2002-U1; the FHA2036-R1 is
designed for use with the FHB2002-R1.
SPECIFICATIONS FHA2035-U1/R1:
Two 24”L x 1-1/2”W x 3/4”D trim pieces (top and bottom)
Two 15”L x 1-1/2”W x 3/4”D trim pieces (left and right)
FHA2036-U1/R1:
Two 24”L x 1-1/2”W x 3/4”D trim pieces (top and bottom)
Two 27-5/8”L x 1-1/2”W x 3/4”D trim pieces (left and right)
PRE-INSTALLATION Determine the location where the FHB2001-U1/-R1 or FHB2002-U1/-R1 enclosure is
to be mounted. Refer to the FHB2001-U1/-R1 and FHB2002-U1/-R1 Installation
Instructions, P/N A6V10335922.

INSTALLATION Refer to Figure 1 for typical Trim Kit installation.
1. Drill eight 3/16”dia. holes in the FHA2035 or FHA2036 backbox, drilling
from the outside to the inside in the eight locations indicated by dimples
on the top, bottom and sides of the backbox.
2. Cut the necessary hole in the wall for the FHB2001 or FHB2002 enclosure.
3. Fasten each trim piece to the backbox as shown in Figure 1. Using the 6/32
x 3/8” screws and washers provided, place the head of each screw inside
the enclosure and fasten it to the trim piece.
4. Secure the panel in the recess. Refer to the FHB2001-U1/-R1 and
FHB2002-U1/-R1 Installation Instructions, P/N A6V10335922.
TheTrim Kit is designed so that steps 2 and 3 of this procedure can be reversed.
