1. Introduction
The SPYDAQ-1x00-HPR is a powered RF Signal Repeater. The repeater is used or
extending the range or standard spYdaq Transmitter, especially when objects
that restrict signal are involved.
The SPYDAQ-1x00-HPR is available in 3 model variants:
Model Variants
SPYDAQ-1000-HPR 433MHz Version
SPYDAQ-1100-HPR 868MHz Version
SPYDAQ-1200-HPR 916MHz Version
The repeater contains an RF receiver and RF transmitter. The receiver (like the
standard SPYDAQ Base-Station) employs Antenna Diversity; using 2 antennas’s
to listen or SPYDAQ transmitter messages and locking on to the highest signal
path.
The entire con iguration or the repeater is done using simple DIP switches at the
rear o the product. These DIP switches will allow the user to receive and transmit
on any o the 4 available radio channels.
The repeater listens and repeats messages rom any spYdaq device on the
selected RF channel. I you wish to ignore certain spYdaq transmitter device
addresses, the user can program the unit (via DIP switches) to ignore that
transmitter. This may be appropriate i one transmitter is very close to the base-
station already and it is not necessary or the repeater to duplicate the
transmission.
The repeater contains an internal Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, this battery
will continue to power the repeater and continue normal operation in the event o
ailure o the external power source. The li e o the battery is dependant on the
number o transmitters on the system and the transmit power setting. Typically
the battery will provide normal operation o 1~2 days.
Note:
The repeater’s internal Lithium-Ion battery will be disconnected via an internal
jumper link prior to leaving the factory Before commissioning the repeater the
battery jumper link should be fitted See section 5 in this manual

4. Connections
4.1
Plug the power pack (Supplied) with the repeater into the socket marked ’10 to
28Vdc’.
4.2
The repeater is supplied with 3 identical antennas. There is 1 antenna or the
transmitter which is connected to the BNC connector marked “TX ANT”. The other
2 antennas are used or the receiver which connects to “RX-ANT A” and “RX-ANT
B”. The receiver antennas can be positioned in any direction, but it is normal or
these two antennas to be at an angle o 90°.

5. Internal Battery.
All SPYDAQ-1x00-HPR repeaters leave the actory with the internal battery
disconnected. It is necessary because the li e o the battery will be restricted i
the battery is le t discharge or a long period o time. Commissioning the repeater
the battery should be connected using an internal jump link.
Procedure:
A) Remove the enclosure lid rom the device by remove the 4 screws in the
corner o the base. Cross head screwdriver required.
B) Locate the battery (BAT1), in the near the centre o the board.
C) Below the battery is a header (PL1) (shown in red) with a jump link in the
park position. Move the jump link to the normal position.
D)
Re it the enclosure lid and screws

IGNORES:
The SPYDAQ system has a device address range o 0 to 15 (16 addresses). There
is an ignore switch or each available address. The de ault setting is all switches
are OFF (no ignores), all addresses are accepted. Turn any switch ON (down) to
ignore that device address.
