S.I.R.I. S.r.l.guaranteesallmachineparts,andwillreplaceanyofthe
samewhichprovedefectiveduetofaultsinmanufacturingmethodsor
materials,for12monthsfromthedateofpurchase.
Duringsaidperiodoftime,alltransportcostswillbeatthepurchaser’s
expense.S.I.R.I.willacceptgoodswithpre-paidcarriageonly.
Servicescoveredbytheguaranteewillonlybepossibleifthemachine
is accompanied by the guarantee certicate, if the machine has not
been tampered with, repaired by unauthorised persons or damaged
duetoimproperuse.
Thisguaranteedoes not coverpartssubject to wearduringroutine
applications.

Ourcomplimentsonyourpurchaseofourelectricalmixer“Sirimix”Art.13.
The“Sirimix”wasdevelopedtoensurethatmaximumreliabilityandfunctionaleffeciency
willbedeliveredovertime.
Thepresentmanualcontainsinportantadviceasregardssettingupthemachineonsite,as
wellasfullinformationonspareparts,cleaningandmaintenance.
Thismuchsaid,itisessentialthattheinstallerandtheusershouldbesuitablyexperienced
andknowledgeableintheuseandworkingsofthemachine.
Itissimilarlyessentialthattheoperatorreadcarefullyandadherescrupulouslytoalldirec-
tionsgiveninthemanual,relativebothtooperatingprocedures andtoroutineandmajor
servicingactivities.
Consequently,theOperationandMaintenancemanualshould be thought of as part of the
machine and kept handy at all times for ready reference whenever needed: indeed the manual
must stay with the machine from initial purchase through to nal destruction.

5.1 BUCKET WITH WHEELS
The“SiriMix”comeswithabuckettobeplacedontothesupporttable(Pos.8;Fig.3).
Onrequest,abucketwithwheelsmaybesupplied,enablingtheusertotransportthemixture
withoutliftingthebucket.
5.2 INSTALLING THE BUCKET WITH WHEELS
Toreplacethebucketnormallysuppliedwiththebucketwithwheels,simplyunscrewthe
lockingscrewsofthebucketsupportandplacethenewpailunderthemachine(Fig.10).

4.4 CLEANING THE MACHINE
All the following operations must be carried out with the machine switched off and
disconnectedfrompowersupply
Tograntsmoothfunctioningofthemachineovertime,keeptothefollowinginstructionswhen
workhasbeencompleted:
1-Thourouglyemptythebucket;
2-Carefullycleanthepaddleandthebucket,totakeawayanyresidualmatterthatonce
driedcouldkeepthepaddlefromturning,whenresetintomotion.
Do not immerse the machine into water.
When washing the machine, take care the water is never jetted at directly on to
the motor.
PROLONGED IDLENESS:
Checktheintegrity ofelectricalcables;
Placethemachineintothecartonbox.
4.5 PACKING THE MACHINE
Beforepackingthemachinefortransport,someoperationsmustbeperformed:
Disconnectthemachinefromthepowersupply;
Carryouttheoperationsdescribedatpoint4.4;
Disconnecttheleverontheleftsideofthemachine(Fig.9)andlowerthepaddleuntilthe
levergetsconnectedinthelowestposition.Makecertainthepipeontherightsideofthe
machineblocksthehandleofthebucket(Fig.8);
Liftthemixer(NB.atleasttwopeoplearerequired);
Placeitintothesuppliedcartonbox.

1.2 INTENDED USE
The“SiriMix”isauniversalmixersuppliedwith40lt.capacitybucketandmotorwithgear
reducer making the paddle revolve and thus mixing tile adhesives, cement, paints and
epoxiesatbest.
Developedtomeetthetilelayer’severyneed,the“SiriMix” comeswithabucketcapable
ofcontainingawholegluesackandwithwheelsallowinganeasiertransportduringlaying
operations.
Themachineisespeciallydesignedfortheprofessional,thoughmaybeusedalsobypersons
withexperienceinthetilecuttingeldorin activitiesonthebuildingsites.
PROTECTION DEVICES
Thepaddleisthesinglemovingcomponentofthemachineanditmustbesetintomotion
onlywheninsidethebucket,andprotectedfromtheriskofcontactwithanyexternalbody.
Nospecialprotectiondeviceisthereforeneeded.
Noearprotectorsneednottobeworn,sincethenoiseemmisionlevelisverylow.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
The“SiriMix”isendowedwithacut-outswitchwithalowvoltagesolenoid(Fig.5)sothatinthe
eventofamomentarypowerlosstheswitchwillrevertautomaticallytothe“0”position.Once
thepowerisrestored, the“I”buttonmustbepressedtosetthemachineintomotionagain.
Similarly,theswitchcontactwillbreakintheeventofthemixerbeingoverloadedtotheextent
thatthemotorcouldoverheatseriouslyandburnout.
The“SiriMix”issuppliedwithamicroswitchmakingthemotorstallwhenthepaddle
isliftedoveragivenlevel, sothatthenowunprotectedpaddlecannotcatchonclothesor
anyotherexternalbody.

The“SiriMix”isanelectricalmixerespeciallydesignedtoallowprofessionaloperators to
mixmostbuildingmaterials.
Themachinecomprisesthefollowingmainparts(Fig.2)

CAUTION: All routine and major servicing operations must be performed with the
machine disconnected from the power supply.
4.1 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Theusermustcarryoutroutinemainenanceoperations(cleaningandlubrication)andcheck
theintegrityofthemachine’sworkingpartsatleastonceaweek.
Alimitednumberofoperationsonlycanbeperformedbytheuser:
Cleaningallpartsofthemachine,takingespeciallycaretothecleaningofthebucketand
thepaddlefromanyglueresiduesoranyothermaterialwhichmaycausescalestoform;
Checkingthestateofallelectricalcables.
CAUTION:Neverstartupthemachinebeforepositioningthebucketproperly.
NB:Alwaysreplacedamagedcableswithoriginalspareparts.
Neverperformmendingoperationswithjointsorinsulatingtape.
Alloftheseoperationsmustbecarriedoutinstrictaccordancewiththedirectionsonsafety
andprocedurescontainedinthepresentmanual.
Noothergeneralmaintenanceisrequiredbeyondthepossiblereplacementsofpartsthat
maybecomedamagedduringnormaluse;thisworkmustbeentrustedonlytoskilledtters
approvedbytheS.I.R.I.company.
4.2 MAJOR SERVICING
Inadditiontoweeklyroutinemaintenance,the“SiriMix”willrequiresomeservicingoperations,
typicallywhenworkinghasbeencompletedonsite,andespeciallyiftheequipmentisto
remainidleforanextendedperiod.Servicinginvolves:
Cleaningallpartsofthemachine(seeprevioussection);
Carefullubricationofallmovingpartsthatmayhavehadlengthyexposuretodampand
dirtyconditions;
Replacingthepaddle,ifdamagedorworn-out;
Packingintothecartonboxfortransport.
4.3 REPLACING THE PADDLE
Before performing the following operations, make certain the machine has been
disconnected from the power panel
Followthegiveninstructionstoreplaceadamagedorworn-outpaddle:
Liftthesupportforgearreducertothesecondposition(3.4,point2);
Removethebucket;
Lockthenutofthethreadedpinprotrudingfromthegearreducer;
Unscrewthepaddleclockwise;
Replacewithanoriginalsparepart;
Screwthenewpaddlecounterclockwise.

3.3 ADJUSTING THE MACHINE
The“SiriMix”leavesthefactoryfullytested;theuserhasnottoperformanyadjustments
orxingoperations,exceptforinstallingthebucketwithwheels(optionalextra)asdescri-
bedinsection5.5.
3.4 OPERATING PROCEDURES
Tocarryoutanyoperationswiththe“SiriMix”,havinginstalleditfollowingthegivenin-
structions,theuserhastoproceedasfollows:
1-Inserttheplugintothepowersocket;
2-Liftthepaddletothesecondposition,disconnectingtheleverontheleftsideofthe
machine(Fig.9);
3-Pourtheamountofwaterasindicatedonthegluesackintothebucket;
4-Pourthecontentsofasackofglueintothebucket;
5-Disconnectthepaddleasatpoint2andlowerituntilthelevergetsconnectedinthe
lowestposition.Checkthatthepipeontherightsideofthemachineblocksthehandleof
thebucket(Fig.8);
6-Pressthebutton“I”oftheswitchtosetthepaddleintomotion;
7-Checkthatthemxturehasreachedthedesiredconsistency(otherwiseaddwateror
gluethroughtheslitsonthebucketcap);
8-Reverttheswitchtothe“0”position,lettingthepaddlestopturning;
9-Repeattheoperationatpoint2tousethemixture;
Whenthemixtureinsidethepailisnished,repeatalloperationsfrompoint1toperforma
furtherworkingcycle.
NB:whenoperating:
CAUTION:Onepersononlymustoperatethemachine.
Nobodyotherthantheusershouldbeallowedinthespaceimmediatelysurrounding
themachinewhileworking.
CAUTION:Dailycheckpowercablesofthemachines.
Makecertaintheoperatorisalwaysfreefromobstacles
Any adjustments must be carried out with the machine switched off and disconnected
from the power supply.
Donotsubjectthemotortoseverestressesduetoexcessivellingofthebucket,
incorrectdilutionoftheglueorimproperuseofthemachine.

inStallation
3.1 TRANSPORT
Tofacilitatetransportationthemachineispackedandstoredinsideastrongcardboardbox
toprotectitfrompossibleimpacts.
Whenrepositioningonsite,keeptothefollowinginstructions:
1-Disconnectthemachinefromthepowersupply.
2-Gripthehandleonthesideoppositetotheoperator.
3-Liftthemachineonthefrontwheelsandpositionatwill.
CAUTION
Do not move the machine before disconnecting the power supply, pressing the “0”
button of the switch and removing the plug from the panel socket.
3.2 INSTALLATION
CAUTION
It is the user’s responsability to ensure that installation is
carried out in compliance with local regulations
The machine must be installed by a skilled person who has
read carefully and understood the information given in the
present manual.
All directions given concerning installation of the
machine must be followed with care.
For any doubts regarding installation, contact
the maker without delay.
Therearecertainfundamentalrulestobeobservedwheninstallingthemachine:
Firstlytwopeoplearerequiredtoremovethemachinefromthecartonbox.
Themachinemustthenbepositionedonaatsurface,makingcertainthatthereissufcient
roomonallsidesbothfornormalfreedomofmovementandformixingoperations.
Alwayscheckthatthelinevoltageatthepanelisthesameastheratedvoltagegiven
onthemotordataplate.
Neverconnectthemachinetoapowersupplythatisnotproperlyearthed.Thiscould
resultinaSEVERE AND POTENTIALLY FATAL ELECTRIC SHOCK.
Neverusethemachineonanysurfacethatisnotlevel.Operatingthemixerinsuch
conditionscanbeverydangerous.

1.4 IMPROPER USE OF THE MACHINE
CAUTION:Anyservicingoperationmustbecarriedoutwith the machine either switched
off or isolated from the power supply
CAUTION:Setthemachineintomotiononlyafterhavingcorrectlypositionedthebucket.
Themachinemustbeemployedonlyformixingmaterialsofthekindreferredtoinparagraph
1.1;anyimproperusemayshortenthelifeofthemachineandjeopardizeitssmoothfunctioning.
Themixerpresentsnoothercounterindications.
1.5 SAFETY DEVICES AND GUARDS
The“SiriMix”isequippedwithasinglesafetydevice,thecap(Fig.3;Pos.4):oncethemachi-
neisstartedupitcoversthebucketsotoavoidtheriskofcontactwiththemovingpaddle.
1.6 LIST OF CONTROLS
The“Sirimix”isextremelysimpleasregardscontrols.
Itcomeswithaself-disconnectingswitchsupplyingpowertothemotorwhenintheposition
“I”,thuslettingthepaddlerevolving.Themotorisstoppedsimplybypressingthe“0”button
(Fig.5).
Asafetymicroswitchisalsosupplied,allowingthemotortoturnonlyoncethepaddlehas
beencompletely loweredintothebucket.
Itisvitalthatthecontrolsarenevertemperedwith.
All maintenance operations must be carried out with the machine switched off or
isolated from the power supply.
Accesstotheoperatingcontrolsmustberestrictedexclusivelytoauthorisedpersons.
Theoperatormustensurethatallguardsandthatallsafetydevicesareintheirproperplace
andoperational.
1.6.1 DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
Themainswitchperformsadualfunction,protectingtheoperatorintheeventofamomentary
powerlossbybreakingthecircuitandpreventinganuncontrolledrestart(cut-outfunction),
and protecting the motor from overheating and burning out when subjected to a severe
overload:thismeansinpracticethatifthepaddlehappenstobecomestuckandpreventthe
motorfromturning,theswitchwillopenautomatically.
Theswitchisoperatedasfollows:
-Pressingthe“I”button,powerissuppliedtothemotorcircuit(Fig.5);
-Pressingthe“0”button,themotorcircuitisisolatedfromthepowersupply.

Any adjustments or operations involving the replacement of worn out mechanical parts must

2.1 GENERAL POINTS
Any repair or servicing operations must be carried out with the machine switched off and
disconnected from the power supply.
Do not start up the machine before installing the bucket and lowering the motor.
Readcerfullythroughthemanualbeforeerecting,startingandoperatingthemachine,andbefore
servicingoradjustinganypartoftheequipment.
Donotallowunauthorisedpersonstoworkonthemachine.
Do not wear rings, wrist watches, jewellery, or any other clothing (baggy of loose tting,
unzipped, unbuttoned or torn) that could catch on moving parts; hair should also be gathered
and tied if particularly long.
Donotoccupyorencumbertheoperatingareaaroundthemachine.
Neverattempttostartthemachinewhenaffectedbytechnicalproblems.
Makecertainthatanyconditionposingapossiblethreattosafetyiseliminatedbeforeusingthemachine.
Reportanyirregularitiesinoperationtositemanagersorappointedsupervisors.
Makecertainthatallguardsandotherprotectivepartsareproperlyinplaceandthatallsafetydevices
areinstalledandoperational.
Observeproceduresandinformationgiveninthemanualregardingmaintenanceandcustomerservice.

Beforeconnectingthemachinetotheswitchpanel,makecertainthepanelisttedwitharesidual
currentdevice.
Beforeconnenctingthemachine,checkthatthenominalpowersupplyvoltageisthesameasthe
ratedvoltageofthemachine.
