1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing SLOC.
In this documentation you will learn how to replace the batteries of your product quickly
and easily.
We at SLOC always try to make our products as easy and intuitive as possible. However, if
you encounter any problems, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1.1. Steps of battery replacement
You must complete the following steps to ensure successful completion of a battery
replacement.
1. Visot support.sloc.one
2. Download the documentation „battery replacement“
3. Provide all the necessary tools in advance
4. Carry out the instructions of the documentation precisely
5. Check the data transmission
6. Mount the SLOC on the vehicle or on the container

2. General
In the following, the battery replacement is explained in detailed steps and visualized with pictures. The
procedure is identical for devices of the 100 and 200 series.
ATTENTION: We would like to emphasize that there is a risk of damaging the antenna mounted
on the PCB and on the lid during the opening/closing of the lid. In this context, we ask you to be
particularly careful when carrying out the procedures in chapters 3.4 and 3.7.

3. The battery replacement
1. Turn the device 180 degrees:
Make sure that the bottom of the SLOC or
the screws are now facing you.
→Take the screwdriver TORX 10x75mm
2. Unscrew the screws:
Now unscrew the fastening screws (4 pcs.)
counterclockwise.
→Position the screws incl. sealing ring in a
tray.
3. Turn the device 180 degrees:
Turn the SLOC back to its original position.
→Now carefully lift the lid
4. Dismount antenna:
On the side you can now see the antenna,
which is connected to the PCB. Now
carefully unplug it. (unless you can open the
cover completely).
→Open the lid completely

5. Remove the battery from the device:
Try to remove the batteries carefully from
the device provided for this purpose (if
necessary with a suitable tool).
→Now take 2 new batteries
ENERGIZER L91
6. Insert new batteries:
Now insert the batteries into the device
provided for this purpose on the PCB.
→Small LED lamp on the PCB is lighting up
7. Mount the antenna:
Now carefully mount the antenna on the
device again (if this was previously
dismounted).
→Put the lid back over the PCB

8. Rotate device 180 degrees:
On the bottom of the SLOC, using the
screws you removed earlier, reattach the
PCB with the cover.
→Check whether the rubber seal (screws)
is still in place.
9. Siliconizing:
If the components (PCB/cover) are fixed
with the screws incl. rubber seal, the
criteria for IP 67 protection class are fulfilled
(no siliconization necessary).
→Use small dots of silicone which are then
"smoothed".
10. Check data transmission:
Make sure that a successful data transfer
could take place after a battery
replacement.

6.1. Waste disposal
This symbol on the product, batteries or packaging means that this product and any
batteries it contains must not be disposed of with your other household waste.
Instead, you must take the products and batteries to an appropriate collection point
for recycling of batteries, waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Separate collection and recycling helps preserve natural resources and prevents
harm to human health and the environment from hazardous substances that may
be released when batteries, electrical and electronic equipment are improperly
disposed of.
