BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Please unpack the box carefully and identify that all the parts are present.
The camera is suitable for indoor use only.
Make sure you charge the camera batteries using the recommended charger. Damage
caused to the camera by incorrect voltage is not covered by the warranty.
Do not attempt to open the casing to access the camera. Damage caused to the camera by
tampering with the camera casing is not covered by the warranty.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The CVR500 is a high quality and fully portable colour camera and recording unit
encased inside a working pen. The built in pinhole camera enables Manual and
Continous recording, allowing images to be stored to the internal Flash memory.
The high fidelity microphone can record the sound within approximately 15m2 of the
pen. It is perfect for both covert and casual recording in many different situations.
The CVR500 also allows still images to be taken in high 8 megapixel resolution.
Stored video and image files can be easily backed up and played back on any
compatible Windows or Apple Mac computer with a USB 2.0 port.
The camera is powered by an internal lithium-ion battery which can be recharged via
any computer with a USB 2.0 port or using the mains powered adaptor provided.

4. LED light (Blue or Red)
Used to indicate the current mode or function of the Pen Camcorder.
5. Reset button
Use a suitable non-metallic tool to push the reset button if the video recorder
stops responding.
6. ON/OFF button
Touch the button to turn ON, turn OFF, to start or stop video recording and to take
a snapshot photo.
7. Pen
For use as a normal working pen.
IDENTIFYING THE PARTS

the USB 2.0
Connection,
detach the pen
by unscrewing it
from this point.
NOTE:
Do not press the “RESET” button when the machine is recording, otherwise the data
will not be saved.

NOTE:
Make sure there is adequate light in the surrounding area and the camera is not
blocked by other items.
Keep the camera upright and stable.
The object should be more than 50cm away from the camera.
If the function is interrupted while the unit is working, it will automatically save the
current recording file.
