The SMC EliteConnect WLAN Secure Server (SMC2504W) is
the perfect solution for quickly securing and controlling any
wireless network. A complete network management solu-
tion in itself, the SMC WLAN Secure Server combines a Layer
3 integellence, security, management, roaming, and traffic
optizimation features in one easy-to-use system. Whether
deployed as a complete solution for a small network or as a
starter system for a large network, the SMC EliteConnect
WLAN Secure Server provides a comprehensive and scalable
solution for protecting, managing, and enhancing wireless
networks.
Designed with an emphasis on network security, the
SMC2504W EliteConnect WLAN Secure Server offers an all-
in-one solution that provides network protection, access
management, and an overall enhancement of your wireless
network. The SMC2504W centrally manages authentication
and user rights for all wireless users, presents logon screens,
and enforces access and usage policies. For added security,
this new product also has built-in VPN support
(PPTP/L2TP/IPSec) to provide secure wireless communica-
tions to and from wireless clients. To enhance your wireless
coverage, the SMC WLAN Secure Server creates a wireless
environment that allows wireless clients to enjoy the greater
mobility of roaming across different subnets and persistent
TCP roaming.Thus, users have no need for re-authentication
and active sessions are maintained during roaming.
