Tool Uses
Fig 1: The open end is used to tighten or loosen the mandrel nose piece.
Fig 2: The closed center area is to use to tighten or loosen the mandrel knob (if needed).
Fig 3: The pointed end is used to install or remove the mandrel lock pin.

Maintenance
Occasionally apply light oil to the nose piece, mandrel, main shaft, mandrel lock pin and
hinges.
Troubleshooting
If the nutsert is not set firmly at the first fastening attempt, open handles slightly and
tighten knob slightly and re-crush nutsert. Do not over tighten.
If nutsert is stuck on mandrel, use tool on knob for extra leverage.
If nutsert is deformed and you find it difficult to thread the bolt into the nutsert, you may
clearance the nutsert with a rotary rasp bit or file.
If deformed nutsert cannot accept a bolt, you may have to remove nutsert completely. This
can be done by drilling out nutsert with slightly smaller drill bit then the bit sized used for
drilling the nutsert hole.
