Your olarArc has been engineered and manufactured in the U A to our highest standards for dependability, durability, ease of
operation and safety. Follow these instructions, and it will heat your pool for many years to come. Thank you for purchasing olarArc.
Caution:
The SolarArc is designed to be installed on the ground next to your pump and filter system. Please ensure that the installation does not provide children
access to the pool. The recommended installation is on the ground and not mounted on a roof or standing structure. Doing so could damage the
SolarArc and the mounting surface and void your warranty.
Important
• Carefully read this manual. Failure to comply with these instructions can cause injury, death, or damage to the unit.
• Do NOT allow children to operate SolarArc
• Always turn the filter system off when installing, working on, or servicing the SolarArc.
• Install SolarArc far enough away from the pool to prevent children from using it as a way to access the pool.
• When loosening any threaded connections on your filter, pump or pool, be sure that the filter hoses are closed or blocked to prevent water flow.
NOTE: Be sure to place your solar blanket on at night to help retain the heat generated by the SolarArc.
How SolarArc Works:
Water flows from your pool’s filter into the bottom left corner (inlet) of the
SolarArc. A baffle built into the lower header pipe of the SolarArc forces the water
up through the left half of the unit. When the water reaches the SolarArc’s upper
header pipe, it flows to the right and back down through the right half of the
SolarArc. As the water travels through the SolarArc, it is heated by the sun. The
heated water then flows out of the bottom right corner (outlet) of the SolarArc and
back to your pool.

Installation
Tools and Material Required (not included)
• Flat-head Screwdriver and/or 5/16” Nut Driver
• Inlet/Outlet Pool Plugs
• Channel Lock Pliers
• Flex Hose with Threaded Connection (soft-sided pools using 2.25” connectors only)
Positioning the Arc
• In order for the SolarArc to function properly, it must be exposed to at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.
• Ensure the Arc is on a level surface.
• Do NOT place the Arc in a location that will either provide access to the pool or interfere with the flow of traffic.
• Place the Arc after, NOT before the filter system as doing so could cause debris to clog the heating system.
• Do NOT install the Arc on a roof or standing structure, it should be placed on the ground.
• SolarArc can be placed up to 20’ away from the filter system using a 1hp pump (addition plumbing will be required).
Connecting the Panel
1) Remove SolarArc and the kit components from the box.
2) Remove the protective film from the clear cover of the unit (Figure 1).
3) Wrap each of the (4) headers and (2) pipe adaptors or (2) threaded adaptors with an adequate amount of Teflon tape (Figures 2 and 3).
NOTE: The threaded adaptors are used for larger, soft-sided pools with a 2.25” threaded flex hose.
4) Thread the pipe adaptors or threaded adaptors into the 1.5” PVC coupling (Figure 4).
5) Thread the coupling and pipe adaptor onto the ends of the header labeled “FRO FILTER” and “TO POOL”, using channel locks to ensure a secure
fit (Figure 5).
6) Attach (2) end caps to the opposing header (not labeled), using channel locks to ensure a secure fit (Figure 6).
7) Plug the return fitting to the pool to ensure there is no water loss (Figure 7).
8) Turn the filter to the OFF position and turn the valve to the CLOSED position. The skimmer can also be plugged to ensure water does not drain from
the pool when the return hose is disconnected (Figure 8).
9) Disconnect the hose from the return fitting (Figure 9).
10) Connect the hose removed from the return fitting to the pipe adaptor/header labeled “FRO FILTER” and tighten the hose clamp with a screwdriver
(Figure 10).
NOTE: Installation using the 2.25” threaded adaptor will not use the hose clamps.
11) Slide (2) hose clamps onto the provided 6’ hose.
NOTE: For threaded, soft-sided pool hose, an additional hose will be needed. Hose clamps will not be used with this type of installation.
12) Connect one end of the 6’ hose to the return of the pool and the other to the pipe adaptor/header labeled “TO POOL”. Secure the hose by
positioning and tightening the hose clamps (Figures 11 and 12).
13) Attach legs to the underside of the rear end (opposite the end with the labels Frm Filter and To Pool)
14) Use 2 of the 4 metal stakes provided to secure the rear of the unit by inserting the curved end into the holes near the bottom of the legs, and then
secure them by pushing the legs into the ground.
15) Use the 2 remaining metal stakes provided to secure the front end of the SolarArc by pushing them through the small holes located on the base, and
secure to the ground.
16) Once all connections are made, remove all plugs from the inlet/outlet and turn the filter to the FILTER position.
WARNING: Do NOT operate the filter or SolarArc while the filter is in the CLOSED position or there are any plugs in the inlet or outlet as this can create
dangerous levels of pressure. Ensure the entire system is open and the filter is in the FILTER position prior to running the system.

Multi-Unit Installation
ultiple Arcs can be connected in series for larger pools or to increase the heat output. The installation for several Arcs
is the same for a single panel with the exception of having to connect the panels together prior to connecting the panels to the pool.
Two Panel System:
1) Place the rubber hose connector on the header labeled “TO POOL” on the first Arc.
2) Slide (2) hose clamps onto the rubber hose.
3) Place the second Arc next to the first Arc so that the header labeled “FRO POOL”
is next to the rubber hose.
4) Insert the header into the rubber hose and secure the connection with the hose
clamps (Figure 13).
5) Follow instructions 2-13 above to connect the system to the pool.
NOTE: ore than 2 systems can be connected, repeat instructions 1-4 in this section
if more panels are being ganged together.

Operation
WARNING: Do NOT operate the filter or SolarArc while the filter is in the CLOSED position or there are any plugs in
the inlet or outlet as this can create dangerous levels of pressure. Ensure the entire system is open and the filter is in
the FILTER position prior to running the system.
To run the solar heater, simply ensure the filter is in the FILTER position and turn it to the ON position. Run the system
during hours of peak sunlight to maximize heating potential. The use of a solar blanket at night will assist in retaining
the heat generated by the Arc.
* NOTE: Bubbles are normal, as air in the system will need to be expelled during initial startup.
Winterization
This section does NOT cover the winterization of your pool or filter system. Reference your pool and filter manuals or
contact your pool professional for information on how to winterize your pool and filter system.
1) Plug the return fitting to the pool to ensure there is no water loss (Figure 7).
2) Turn the filter to the OFF position and turn the valve to the CLOSED position. The skimmer can also be plugged to
ensure water does not drain from the pool when the return hose is disconnected (Figure 8).
3) Loosen the hose clamps (or threaded coupling for some soft-sided hoses) that connect the pool hoses to the pipe
adapters of the collector.
4) Loosen the end caps to allow the water to drain out of the headers.
5) Turn the unit on its side to ensure all the water is removed from the collector.
6) Once all the water has be evacuated, store the Arc in a dry area that remains above freezing temperatures.
Problems Possibilities/Solutions
SolarArc does not appear to be heating the pool. • ake sure that water is flowing through SolarArc by checking the flow
at the pool return.
• Note the weather - has it been cloudy or raining?
• Use your pool cover at night to reduce heat loss.
• Refer to our order guide - pool size may require additional SolarArcs
Bubbles continue to appear from the pool water inlet during
operation.*
• Check the connections for leaks.
• Check the flow rate.
• Check the tubing for leaks or clogging.
SolarArc leaks • ake sure connectors and hose clamps are tight and not defective.
• Additional Teflon tape on headers and fittings may be required.

MODE D’OPÉRATION
ATTENTION : NE PAS faire fonctionner le filtre ou le SolarArc tandis que le filtre est en position FER É ou lorsque il y a des bouchons à
l'entrée ou à la sortie de la piscine car cela peut créer des niveaux de pression dangereux . Assurez-vous que l'ensemble du système est ouvert
(sans bouchons) et que le filtre est en position “FILTER” avant de démarrer le système.
Pour mettre en marche le chauffe-eau solaire, assurez-vous simplement que le filtre soit en position “FILTER” et à la position ON. Faites
fonctionner le système pendant les heures de pointe d’ensoleillement afin de maximiser le potentiel de chauffage. L'utilisation d'une
couverture solaire pendant la nuit va aider à retenir la chaleur générée par l'arc solaire.
* NOTE: Les bulles sont normales, car l'air dans le système devra être expulsé lors du démarrage initial.
HIVERNAGE
La présente ne couvre pas l’hivernage de votre piscine ou du système de filtration. Référez-vous à vos manuels d’instructions des fabriquants
ou contactez votre professionnel de la piscine pour plus d'informations sur la façon d'hiverner votre piscine et système de filtration.
1) Branchez le retour d’eau de la piscine pour s'assurer qu'il n'y a pas de perte d'eau (fig 7 )
2) Tourner le filtre à la position OFF et tournez la valve sur la position FER E. . L'écumoire peut également être installée afin que l'eau ne
s'écoule pas de la piscine lorsque le tuyau de retour sera déconnecté (figure 8 ) .
3) Desserrez les colliers de serrage (ou raccord fileté dans le cas d’utilisation de tuyaux souples) qui relient les tuyaux de la piscine aux
adaptateurs du collecteur solaire.
4) Desserrer les bouchons des coins pour permettre à l'eau de s'écouler par les extrémités.
5) ettre l'appareil sur le côté pour assurer que toute l'eau soit vidée du collecteur solaire.
6) Une fois que toute l'eau aura été évacué, entreposer l'Arc dans un endroit sec qui reste au-dessus des températures de congélation.
Problèmes Diagnostics/Solutions
SolarArc ne chauffe pas l’eau • Vérifiez que l'eau coule à travers le SolarArc en vérifiant le contrôle du
débit au niveau du retour d’eau de la piscine.
• Climat – Est-ce nuageux ou pluvieux ?
• Utilisez votre couverture de piscine la nuit pour réduire la perte de chaleur.
• Reportez-vous à notre guide de commande - la taille de la piscine peut
exiger un SolarArcs supplémentaire.
Des bulles continuent à apparaître de l'entrée d'eau de la

• Vérifier les connections pour s’assurer d’aucunes fuites.
• Vérifier le débit de l’eau.
• Vérifier la tuyauterie pour s’assurer d’aucunes fuites ou obstruction qui
boucherait les tuyaux.
Le SolarArc coule • Assurez-vous que les connecteurs et les colliers de serrage soient serrés et
non défectueux
• Du ruban de téflon supplémentaire peut être nécessaire sur les raccords.

Installation d’unités multiple
Les arcs multiples peuvent être branchés ensemble pour les plus grandes piscines ou pour augmenter la production de chaleur.
L'installation de plusieurs arcs est la même que pour un seul panneau, à l'exception d'avoir à relier les panneaux entre eux avant de les
raccorder à la piscine.
Système à deux panneaux :
1) Placez le raccord de tuyau en caoutchouc sur l’extrémité portant la mention «TO POOL"
sur le premier arc.
2) Glisser (2) colliers de serrage sur le tuyau de caoutchouc.
3) Placer le second arc à côté du premier arc de sorte que l’extrémité portant la mention
"FRO POOL" soit à côté du tuyau en caoutchouc.
4) Insérer l’extrémité dans le tuyau en caoutchouc et fixer la connexion avec les pinces clamps
(Figure 13).
5) Suivez les instructions ci-dessus 2-13 pour connecter le système à la piscine.
NOTE: Plus de 2 systèmes peuvent être connectés ensemble, répéter les étapes 1-4 ci-dessus
si plusieurs panneaux sont liés ensemble.

• Pour que le SolarArc fonctionne correctement, il doit être exposé pendant au moins 6 heures d’ensoleillement direct chaque jour.
• Veiller à ce que l'Arc soit sur une surface plane.
• Ne pas placer l'Arc dans un endroit ou il puisse être utiliser comme un moyen d’accès à la piscine ou dans une zone de circulation.
• Ordre de connection: Connectez l'Arc après le système de filtration, pas avant car cela pourrait causer des débris qui risque de boucher le
système de chauffage.
• Ne pas installer l'Arc sur une structure de toit ou en position debout, il doit être placé au sol.
• L’Arc solaire ² peut être placé jusqu'à 20 pieds de distance du système de filtration d'une pompe de 1 cv (de la plomberie supplémentaire sera
nécessaire).
Connection du panneau
1 ) Retirer le SolarArc et les composantes du kit de la boîte.
2 ) Retirez le film protecteur de la couverture vitrée de l'unité (Figure 1 ) .
3 ) Enroulez chacune des ( 4 ) têtes et ( 2 ) des adaptateurs de tuyaux ou ( 2 ) adaptateurs filetée avec une quantité suffisante de ruban Teflon.
( figures 2 et 3 ) .
REMARQUE :
Les adaptateurs filetés sont utilisés pour les grandes dimensions de piscines à parois souples avec un tuyau flexible fileté de 57 mm.
(figure 4 ) .
5 ) Enfiler le raccord et l’adaptateur de tuyau à l’extrémité marqué " FRO FILTER " et " TO POOL" , assurez-vous du bon ajustement (fig 5) .
6 ) Fixer ( 2 ) capuchons sur l’extrémité opposé (non marqué) , assurez-vous d’un ajustement sécurisé ( Figure 6 ) .
7 ) Branchez le retour d’eau de la piscine pour s'assurer qu'il n'y a pas de perte d'eau (fig 7 ).
8 ) Tourner le filtre à la position OFF et tournez la valve sur la position FER E . L'écumoire peut également être installée afin que l'eau ne
s'écoule pas de la piscine lorsque le tuyau de retour sera déconnecté (figure 8 ) .
9 ) Débranchez le tuyau du retour d’eau (figure 9 ) .
10 ) Raccorder ce tuyau retiré du retour d’eau au raccord installé précédemment marqué “FRO FILTER” et serrez le collier de serrage avec un
tournevis (figure 10) .
REMARQUE : Lors d’une installation avec l’adaptateur fileté de 57 mm ne pas utiliser les colliers de serrage .
11 ) Glisser ( 2 ) colliers de serrage sur le tuyau de 6 '.
REMARQUE : Pour les tuyaux filetée , les piscine à parois souples , un tuyau supplémentaire sera nécessaire . Les colliers de serrage ne seront
pas utilisés avec ce type d'installation .
12 ) Branchez une extrémité du tuyau de 6’ au retour d’eau de la piscine et l'autre extrémité à l'adaptateur de tuyau portant la mention « TO
POOL" . Fixez le tuyau en positionnant et en serrant les colliers de serrage ( figures 11 et 12 ) .
13) Fixez les pieds (fournis) sous la partie arrière (à l’opposé de la partie frontale).
14) Utilisez 2 des 4 piquets fournis pour sécuriser l’arrière du SolarArc en insérant les bouts courbés dans les trous situés à la base des pieds et
ensuite sécurisez-les en les enfonçant dans le sol.
15) Utilisez les 2 piquets restants pour sécuriser la partie frontale du SolarArc au sol, en les insérant dans les petits trous situés à la base.
16 ) Une fois que toutes les connexions sont faites , retirer tous les bouchons de l'entrée / sortie et tourner le filtre à la position FILTER .
ATTENTION : NE PAS faire fonctionner le filtre ou le SolarArc tandis que le filtre est en position FER É ou lorsque il y a des bouchons à
l'entrée ou à la sortie de la piscine car cela peut créer des niveaux de pression dangereux . Assurez-vous que l'ensemble du système est ouvert
(sans bouchons) et que le filtre est en position “FILTER” avant de démarrer le système.

Comment onctionne le SolarArc:
L'eau s'écoule du filtre de votre piscine dans le coin inférieur
gauche (entrée) du SolarArc. Un déflecteur intégré dans le tuyau
collecteur inférieur du SolarArc force l'eau à travers la moitié
gauche de l'unité du panneau. Lorsque l'eau atteint la partie
supérieure du tuyau collecteur du SolarArc, le flux se dirigera vers
la droite et vers le bas par la moitié droite de l’unité du panneau
SolarArc. Pendant que l'eau circule à travers le SolarArc, elle est
chauffé par le soleil. L'eau chauffée s'écoule ensuite sur le coin
inférieur droit (sortie) du SolarArc et retourne vers votre piscine.
