Important Safety Advice
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of re,
electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
WARNING: Read these instructions completely before beginning installation. Failure to follow
them could cause an appliance malfunction.
WARNING: If the appliance is damaged, check immediately with your retailer before installation
and operation. The heater must not be used if any part of it is damaged.
 Do not use outdoors.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
 The appliance carries the Warning Symbol indicating that it must not be covered or has
a do not cover label. Do not cover or obstruct in any way the heat outlet grille located
above the window of the appliance.
 Do not place material or garments over the front of the appliance as this could cause overheating
and a re risk.
 In the event of a fault unplug the heater.
 Unplug the appliance when not required for long periods.
 This appliance can be used by persons if they have been given instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way or are supervised and understand the hazards involved.
 This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge if they have been
given instruction or supervision concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
 Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried
out by children without adequate supervision.
 Children of less than 3 years should be kept away from the appliance unless continuously
supervised.
 Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided
that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been
given instruction or supervision concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
 Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate or clean the appliance
or perform user maintenance on the appliance.
 If the supply cord is damaged, switch off the mains power at the wall socket immediately.
WARNING: The heater must not be located immediately below, above or in front of a xed
socket outlet or electrical connection box.
WARNING: Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not
capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this
appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
CAUTION: Some parts of this appliance around the heater grill can become very hot and cause
burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
 The heater must not be positioned or used where it may come into contact with water, for example
but not exclusively, in wet rooms, bathrooms, swimming pools, laundries or used to dry clothes.

Box Contents:
Please check that the following components are included within the box. If anything is missing or
damaged, please contact the retailer and do not use the appliance until you have everything
in order.
 Appliance including frames with trailing lead with moulded 13 Amp plug.
 Remote control hand set and batteries.
 Log Set.
 Fixing brackets and screws.
 Instructions.
Unpack the re from the box and remove the packing pieces from each end by taking out the four
screws each end. Using the eight 8mm number 2 screws supplied please ll the carriage holes left
by removing the carriage packing.
Before proceeding to install the SLE125t please plug it in and test it works correctly.
 Do not use the appliance in rooms with explosive gas (e.g. petrol) or while using inammable glue
or solvent (e.g. when gluing or varnishing parquet oors, PVC etc.)
 Do not insert any objects into the appliance.
 This appliance must be connected to a 220-240VAC 50-60Hz supply.
 If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its agent or a similarly
qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
 This appliance is supplied with a power lead complete with a moulded 13 Amp UK three-pin plug
to connect into a standard UK socket outlet. This appliance must be earthed. The plug must be
easily accessible after siting the appliance. Should a new fuse be required, consult a competent
person to establish the reason for the fuse operating. Only once the fault is rectied should a new
13A fuse be inserted into the plug.
 Use only a dry duster or vacuum cleaner with brush attachment to clean the appliance. Never
use abrasive cleaners, water, steam cleaners or aerosols on or near the appliance.
 Only control the appliance using the manual operations or the supplied remote control
described in this manual. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote
control system or any other device that switches the heater on automatically. You may also use
the Solution Fires App to control your re.

Dimensions
Note: Dimensions stated are in millimetres unless otherwise stated and may be subject to a small tolerance.
Commissioning and Handover
On completion of the installation:
• Ensure that the operating instructions for the unit are left with the customer.
• Ensure to advise the customer on the correct use of the appliance and how to isolate the unit
when required.
• Advise the user what to do should smoke or fumes be emitted from the unit.

Installation
Recessing the Appliance into the Wall
Due to the many different nish materials used on walls, it is highly recommended that you consult
your local retailer/tter before you install this appliance in the wall. Select a location that is not
prone to moisture and is located at least 36” (914mm) away from combustible materials such as
curtain drapes, furniture, bedding, paper etc.
A. Measure the appliance and create an opening to t the re into. See Fig 1
B. Create a route for the electrical connection.

Front Trim Removal
WARNING: BEFORE THE FRONT TRIM IS REMOVED OR INSTALLED UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND WAIT
UNTIL THE APPLIANCE IS COOL TO THE TOUCH. THE TRIM CAN BE HEAVY AND FRAGILE SO HANDLE
WITH CARE.
1. Release the 2 screws from the trim lock under the top bar of the trim, as shown below in Fig 2.
2. Lift the trim up and away from the appliance, as shown below in Fig 3.

Front Glass Removal
WARNING: BEFORE THE FRONT GLASS IS INSTALLED OR REMOVED UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND WAIT
UNTIL THE APPLIANCE IS COOL TO THE TOUCH. GLASS CAN BE HEAVY AND FRAGILE SO HANDLE WITH
CARE.
1. Before removing the front glass, ensure the front trim has been removed. For removing front trim,
refer to “FRONT TRIM REMOVAL” section.
2. Remove the screws on each side of the front glass bracket. Fig 4
3. Lift the glass up and away from the appliance, holding the glass vertical not at while carrying.
Place the glass face down onto a soft, non-abrasive surface, careful not to ex the glass. Fig 5.

F. Drill 2.5mm diameter x 10mm deep holes at the marked locations.
G. Insert the screws through the mounting bracket and screw into the holes. Tighten the screws
securely. Fig. 8.
H. Hold the appliance up to ensure it will t into the frame. Use at least 4 screws (provided) to lock
the appliance into the wall mounting brackets. Fig. 9.
E. Install mounting bracket by aligning the edge 6.4mm from the centre of the wall sides and
156mm from the bottom of the wall sides. Fig. 6

Front Glass Installation
A. Before installing the front glass, ensure the logs have been positioned satisfactorily.
B. Lift the glass up and sit into the bottom groove, holding the glass vertical not at while carrying.
Hold and turn the top of glass to at touch the side panel. See Figure 10.
C. Reinstall the 4 screws, see Figure 11.
Installation - Suggested Log Layout
NOTE: There is no particular requirement to lay out the logs as shown in the photographs above.
The only requirement is that the small triangular openings in the fuel bed of Side B of the re - any
encroachment on this area will reduce the effectiveness of the ame effect.
I. Install the log set to suit your own style. Install the front trim by aligning with the pins on the
appliance. This ensures the touch display panel performs properly.

Front Trim Installation
A. Lift the trim and ensure the trim top lines up with the appliance top, then push in until the trim
drops down and sits on the appliance by aligning the slots in the trim with the pins on the
appliance. Figure 12.
B. Pull the trim bottom to check it is located securely. Figure 13.
C. Screw in and tighten trim. Figure 14.

Operating Instructions
WARNING: WHILE THE APPLIANCE IS OPERATING DO NOT REMOVE THE GLASS PANEL. THIS WILL CAUSE
THE REMOTE CONTROL AND MANUAL CONTROL PANEL TO MALFUNCTION.
! NOTE: The unit can be operated on the manual control panel and with the supplied remote
control. For the unit to operate, the manual ON/OFF switch, located on the top of the control panel
must be switched to the “I” position.
A red light will illuminate when the re is plugged in and the manual ON/OFF button is switched to
“I”. The red light will go OFF once the manual power ON/OFF switch is pushed to ON.
Use the manual control panel on/off button to turn your re on or off. Use the Heater button to
cycle with each push from front heater, to rear heater to both heaters then to off and starts again.
Remote Contol Buttons and Display
! NOTE: Before attempting any operation with the remote, press and slide the battery door (on the
back of remote) open and insert two AAA batteries, checking that the + and - ends of the battery
match inside the battery compartment, close the battery door.
NOTE: - it is essential that you point the remote control handset directly at the middle of the ame
picture with a direct line of sight for the handset to control your re.

Operation Continued
NOTE: The unit may emit a slight, harmless odour and smoke when rst used. This odour & smoke is
normal and it is caused by heating the internal heater parts and will not occur again.
NOTE: Ensure the manual ON/OFF switch located under the top bar of the trim (see g. 15) is
switched to the “I” position.
Powering the Fireplace
Press the re on/off button to turn on the re and the current setting temperature will be shown on
the remote control display. Press the Power button again to turn off the re, for added realism the
re will slowly fade before switching off.
NOTE: All previous settings are held in memory, so the next time you power up the replace, the unit
will turn on with the same settings.
Target Temperature Setting
Adjust the temperature to the desired setting (15° to 30°C Range)
using the Setting + & - buttons - See Fig 18. The default setting is 30°C.
NOTE: The target temperature must be above the room temperature
for the heating function to operate.
Push and hold Setting + & - button together for more than 2 seconds
to change the temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Heater ON/OFF
Press the Heater ON/OFF button on Remote Control to switch on or
off the Heater on both sides of your re. Symbol “ ” will be displayed
on LCD screen when the heater is switched ON. See Fig. 19.
Heat Selection Button
Press the Heat button on Remote Control to select one side or the
other or will be displayed on LCD screen. The heater button
cycles with each push from front heater, to rear heater to both
heaters then to off and starts again. See Fig. 20.
NOTE: Only when the Heater ON/OFF button is switched to ON ( ),
can the side be selected.
NOTE: On either setting, the heat function will turn off when the
room temperature reaches the target temperature. The heat
function will automatically restart when the room temperature
drops 3°C below the target temperature.
NOTE: As an additional safety feature, the heater will turn off after
12 hours continuous operation in case it has been left on by mistake.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The fan will run for
approximately 10 seconds after the Heating
function is turned off to remove any residual
heat from the unit to protect the control
components from any potential overheating.
Do not press heater ON/OFF button again as
this will turn the heat back on.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If the handset has been
idle for some time, the rst push of any button
will “wake” it up and then the buttons will
function as normal.
Open Window Device function:
To ensure minimum energy wastage, this
appliance will turn off the heaters should an
open door or window be detected.
When the heater is in operation (H01 or H02)
and once the ambient temperature drops
5°C within 10 minutes, the appliance heaters
will turn off automatically. Close the window/
door or turn off any cooling items, push the
heater control buttons on remote control to
restart the heaters.

Flame Preset
By pressing the Flame Preset button, the LCD
display current preset modes, use
buttons to select from the ve following different
Flame Preset options PS1-PS6, use to
conrm and quit Flame Preset. - See Fig 21.

Setting the Time & Day (24 Hour Clock)
1. Press the Power button to turn the unit on.
2. Press & hold the Time Setting button for two
seconds to display the time & day see Fig 23 (no numbers
shown as time not set).
3. Press the Time Setting button & the day setting triangle will
ash. (Fig. 24)
4. Adjust the day setting using the buttons.
5. Press the Time Setting button & the hour setting will ash.
Adjust the hour setting by using the buttons. (Fig. 25)
6. Press the Time Setting button & the minute setting will ash.
Adjust the minute setting using the buttons. (Fig. 26)
7. Press & hold the Time Setting button to set the time and to
exit the time/date set-up.

Setting the Weekly Timer
The Timer allows for two ON/OFF periods (P1/P2) for each day of
the week and the timer can be set using the following procedure.
NOTE: Please ensure that the handset is pointing towards the
ame picture, and the re is on during all the steps below.
1. Press the Power button to turn the unit on.
2. Press and hold the Timer Mode button for two
seconds to enter the timer settings.
3. Press the Time Setting button to select the day to
programme.
4. The settings for the 1st ON/OFF period (1) for Monday will be
shown with the 1st ON time and hour setting ashing - see
Fig 27. Adjust the day using the buttons.
5. Adjust the hour setting using the buttons and press
the Time Setting button to select the minute setting.
With the minute setting ashing, adjust the minute setting using
the buttons.
6. Press the Time Setting button and the display will move to
the 1st OFF time setting - see Fig 28.
7. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set the 1st OFF time.
8. Press the Time Setting button and the display will move
to the 2nd ON/OFF period (2) with the 2nd ON time setting
displayed.
9. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to set the 2nd ON/OFF period - see Fig 29.
10. Press the Time Setting button and the display will move
to the 1st ON/OFF period (1) for Tuesday with the 1st ON time
setting displayed.
11. Repeat steps 2 to 8 for Tuesday’s settings and repeat this
process for Wednesday to Sunday’s settings, or for the days
you wish to programme.
12. Having conrmed Sunday’s settings, exit the timer settings
by not using the remote for 10 seconds and the unit will
default into normal operating mode.
13. To activate the timer settings, press the Timer Mode button
until the timer symbol is displayed on the screen - see Fig 30.

Cleaning
NOTE: Allow the re to completely cool
before cleaning it.
1. Switch off and unplug from the power
supply before cleaning.
2. Using a soft, dry cloth, carefully clean
the exterior surface of the product.
3. Do not allow water or other liquids to
run into the interior of the product, as
this is a hazard.
4. Lightly run a vacuum cleaner nozzle
over the grills along the control panel
to remove any dust or dirt that may
have accumulated inside or on the
unit.
CAUTION: Do not use harsh detergents,
chemical cleaners or solvents as they
may damage the surface nish of the
plastic components.
Thermal Safety Cut-Out
A thermal safety cut-out is incorporated
in the heater to prevent damage due to
overheating. This can happen if the heat
outlet is restricted in any way. The
heater will switch on once the heater
has cooled. If the cut-out continues to
operate intermittently, the heater should
be switched off and a service agent
contacted.
Light Emitting Diode
This re is tted with LED’s (Light Emitting
Diodes) in place of traditional
incandescent bulbs. These generate the
same light levels as traditional bulbs, but
use a fraction of the energy consumed.

Troubleshooting
WARNING: TURN OFF THE APPLIANCE COMPLETELY AND LET COOL BEFORE SERVICING. ONLY A
QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSON SHOULD SERVICE AND REPAIR THIS ELECTRIC APPLIANCE.
My re makes some sounds
Your re will make some sounds during normal operation. There are three sources of sound:
1. Switch/thermostat – During operation these will make quiet clicking sounds and will occur when
your heater fan and heating elements are switched on or off.
2. Flame Effect - To ensure you experience a slow and relaxed ame effect speed, the electric
motor provides its drive via an internal gearbox that will emit a faint gear noise.
3. Fan Heater – just like any fan heater there will be the sound of air being blown into the room.

Replaceable Parts
Cleaning, Servicing and Maintenance
NOTE: There are no user-serviceable components to this appliance. If there are issues that
cannot be resolved with your appliance, then please contact your retailer. Allow the product to
completely cool before handling or cleaning it.
1. Switch off and unplug from the power supply before cleaning.
2. Do not allow water or other liquids to run into the interior of the product, as this could create a
re and/or electrical hazard.
CAUTION: Do not use harsh detergents, chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the
surface nish or the plastic components.
3. Hard oor coverings in particular, but all oor coverings cause uff that can be drawn into the
air intakes. From time-to-time and no less than every two months, isolate the re from the mains
and attach the brush accessory to your vacuum cleaner and gently vacuum the air intakes
and outlets.
