Take time to familiarize yourself with the use and maintenance of this equipment before using. Please file this
Instruction Sheet in an accessible location. The Instruction Sheet must be read and familiar to anyone who is
using Southpaw Enterprises Equipment.
IMPORTANT: Please check equipment immediately for any damage that may have resulted during shipping. If
any damage has occurred, please contact Southpaw Enterprises, Inc. immediately.

PUTTING THE COVER / BUCKET ON THE SWING:
• Lift the swing by the top snap in order to determine the correct
orientation of the swing.
• Place the frame, upside down, on the floor or on a table.
• Place the platform cover (flat, shown) or bucket cover
(dimensional) inside the platform swing frame, with the soft sur-
face facing down.
• Bring the edge of the cover around the frame from the inside
and fasten the two halves of the zipper (See fig. 1) NOTE: As
pictured
• (see fig. 2), start each zipper only about 3” until all four zippers
are started. Then zip them all the way.
• Once all the zippers have been zipped, you must secure the
zipper tab in the hook-and-loop closure. First, while holding the
zipper tab up, lay the “fuzzy”, or loop, piece down against the
zipper. (see fig. 3). Next, lay the zipper tab on top of the loop
fabric, and press the “scratchy”, or hook fabric on top of the zip-
per tab (see fig. 4). This locks the zipper in place so that it can-
not unzip. Doing this step properly is critical for the safety
of you clients.
Warning: Failure to properly install a forged
steel eyebolt (1/2” or 5/8”) may result in serious
injury or death. If you have any questions

Safety Precautions - The safety of your clients is dependent on the appropriate choice of activity to match, yet challenge their
physical abilities. Use appropriate spotting / safety techniques. In addition, the layout of your activity area, proper installation
and maintenance of your equipment is critical. Southpaw equipment is not intended for recreational or outdoor use. Under no
condition should this equipment be used without proper supervision.
This sheet is for example only. It is not meant to, in any way, replace local, county, state, or Federal standards. Be aware - it is
your responsibility to find all pertinent safety information that pertains to your facility.
MINIMUM HEIGHT REQUIREMENT AND SPACE NEEDED
• Minimum height required is 8 ft.
• Caution must be used to keep a clear distance of 6 ft. from walls and other obstacles.
HEIGHT ADJUSTER AND SAFETY ROTATIONAL DEVICE NEEDED
• Use of the Southpaw 5000 Height Adjuster is recommended for ease of adjusting the height of your equipment.
• A Southpaw 2000 Safety Rotational Device must be used to prevent damage to your equipment.
WORKING LOAD: 200 lbs.
HANGING PROCEDURE
• Hang Platform Swing by attaching the Safety Snap that is on the top of the Platform
Swing to your height adjustment system.
Like our regular Platform Swing, this swing can be adjusted for various degrees of challenge
for any client.
MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST:
The following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the checklist enclosed.
• Check seams for rips or tears. If rips or tears are found, discontinue use immediately until repaired.
• Check for cracks or splinters in the wooden “Upper Works” of the swing. If found, discontinue use until repaired or
replaced.
• Check all hardware pieces for wear. If found, call for replacement parts immediately.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Check with your infectious disease department before using these procedures.
• Check for client allergies first.
• Cover is machine washable using cold water and mild detergent. Tumble dry - no heat.
