Introduction
Thank you for choosing this Sovereign appliance. It has been
designed to give years of trouble-free use provided it is installed
and maintained correctly.
Please read these instructions carefully before installing or
using your appliance. It is advisable to keep your purchase and
installation receipts with these instructions in a safe place for
future reference. Included is some important safety information
in addition to guidelines and recommendations that will enable
you to take full advantage of all the functions available.
This quality appliance has been tested and certified to meet all
applicable UK electrical and safety standards.
This appliance must be installed and connected in
accordance with current regulations by a qualified
electrician.
After unpacking the appliance ensure that there is no visible
damage. If the appliance has been damaged during transit, do
not use it, contact your retailer immediately.

Guarantee
This appliance is guaranteed for one year from date of
purchase. Keep your purchase receipt with these instructions.
To fulfill the conditions of the guarantee this appliance must
have been correctly installed by a qualified person and
operated in accordance with these instructions. The appliance
is intended for domestic use only.
If the appliance fails to work properly during the first year period
contact the Sovereign Service Help line on 0870 607 7270.
The appliance will be repaired or replaced (at the
manufacturer’s discretion) at no cost to you. If the
guarantee has elapsed, you will be given a quotation for any
repairs or parts required.
The model and serial number together with details of your
sales receipt must be quoted when contacting the Help line.

1 .1 . A ppli a n c e Dim e n s ions

1.2. Wiring Connection
This appliance must be installed by a qualified electrician and ‘hard
wired’ to a separate 30 amp cooker circuit. Your installer will supply
and fit a suitable cable to the terminal box on this appliance.
The terminal box is located at the rear of the appliance. Route the
cable through the clamp and make the connections as shown in the
diagram. The earth wire must be cut longer than the other wires so
that it will be the last to break off in the event of the cable being
tugged.
Having made the connection, tighten the cable clamp and close
the cover of the box.

Remove all packaging materials and any protective film
applied to the appliance surfaces.

Wipe the glass surface with a soft damp cloth.
This appliance must be ‘hard wired’ to a separate 30amp
cooker circuit with an isolation switch positioned above the
work surface. Check the rating plate for further details.
Do not connect this appliance to a standard 13amp
socket outlet!
During initial use you may notice a ‘newness’ or ‘hot’ smell
coming from the appliance - this is quite normal.

Section 4.3. before phoning our service help line.

Sec tion 3. Operating The Appliance
3.1. Small Oven (Upper)
Position 0: The oven is switched off.
Position 1: Interior light on.
Position 2: Conventional Cooking – set the temperature to the
required setting. The neon indicator will go out as soon as the
temperature has been reached.
Position 3: The grill will operate. Keep the door open whilst
grilling and operate for a maximum of 30 minutes. N.B. You
cannot adjust the temperature of the grill.
3.2. Main Fan Oven (Lower)
Position 0: The oven is switched off.
Position 1: Interior light on.
Position 2: Fan only – no heat. Use this setting for quicker
defrosting of frozen foods.
Position 3: Fan Assisted Cooking – set the temperature to
the required setting. The neon indicator will go out as soon as the
temperature has been reached.

Sec tion 4. Main tenance
4.1. Cleaning
Disconnect the oven from the electricity supply and ensure
that it has been allowed to completely cool down before
carrying out cleaning or maintenance.

Clean the interior of the oven with warm soapy water or a specialist
oven cleaner. Clean the glass doors with warm soapy water or
glass cleaner. Clean the exterior stainless steel areas with warm
soapy water or a proprietary stainless steel cream cleaner. Do not
use abrasive cleaners on the glass or stainless steel areas.

Other than maintaining the appliance in a clean working condition,
there is no other ‘user’ maintenance that needs to be carried out. If
your oven develops a fault during its initial guarantee period please
contact our Service Help Line. Full contact details are provided on
Page 2 and 11 of this
instruction book.
4.2. Changing the Interior Light Bulbs

CAUTION: Disconnect the
appliance from the power
supply before changing the
bulb.
To replace the bulb, first
unscrew the glass cover (A),
unscrew the bulb and replace it
with a suitable
replacement (MAX Power 25W).
Refit the glass cover.
4.3. What to do if something goes wrong
Before contacting our service help line, please check the
following points:
There is no power to the appliance:
Check that there is not a power cut
Check that there is power to the cooker socket and appliance
Check that the circuit fuse/trip switch has not blown/tripped
There is power to the appliance but the oven(s) will not heat up:
Check that the control knob(s) has been set to the correct
operational setting as described in sections 3.1 and 3.2.
Check that the main oven control knob has not been accidentally
set to Position 2. (Fan only – Defrosting) Refer to Section 3.2.
The oven(s) operates but the oven light will not work:
Check the bulb(s) and replace as described in Section 4.2.
Please note that bulbs are not covered under your guarantee
There is a hot smell and/or smoke coming from the appliance when
used:
This is quite normal - your appliance has been protected with a
light coating of machine oil during production, this will burn off
after the appliance has been used several times.
