Thank you for choosing this Sovereign appliance. It has been
designed to give years of trouble-free use provided it is installed
and maintained correctly.

your appliance. It is advisable to keep your purchase and installation
receipts with these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
Included is some important safety information in addition to
guidelines and recommendations that will enable you to take full
advantage of all the functions available.
This quality appliance has been tested and certified to meet all
applicable UK electrical and safety standards.
This appliance must be installed and connected in accordance
with current regulations by a qualified electrician.
After unpacking the appliance ensure that there is no visible
damage. If the appliance has been damaged during transit, do not
use it, contact your retailer immediately.

Guarantee
This appliance is guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Keep your purchase receipt with these instructions.
To fulfill the conditions of the guarantee this appliance must have
been correctly installed by a qualified person and operated in
accordance with these instructions. The appliance is intended for
domestic use only.
If the appliance fails to work properly during the first year period
contact the Sovereign Service Help line on 01527-573010.
The appliance will be repaired or replaced (at the manufacturer’s
discretion) at no cost to you. If the guarantee has elapsed, you
will be given a quotation for any repairs or parts required.
The model and serial number together with details of your sales
receipt must be quoted when contacting the Help line.

Section 1. I n s ta lla tion
A qualified installer must carry out the installation.
The cooker hood should ideally be installed between 65 -75cm above
the work surface/cooker hob. DO NOT INSTALL BELOW 65cm.
The wall bracket must be fitted to the wall in the appropriate position
using the wall plugs and screws provided. You will need to mark the
position of the holes onto the wall and drill three 8mm holes for the
wall plugs. It is important to ensure that t he wall bracket is installed
perfectly level in order that the cooker hood is level once installed
(picture 2)
Connect the flexible ducting hose
(not supplied )
to the one -way
valve on the motor and connect the other end to the wall outlet.
(picture 3)
N. B. Your installer will supply a suitable flexible hose
and wall outlet.
Connect the two ‘U’ shaped body sections (picture 3A).
Connect the glass to the body and secure with the four screws
provided (picture 3B).
Extend the ‘U’ shaped body sections to the required height and fix
the supplied plate to the top of the body section (picture 4). Now fit
the plate to the wall bracket (hook) using the two screws supplied
(picture 4A).
This appliance must not share the same air outlet as another
appliance, i.e. gas heating outlet.
Keep bends in the flexible ducting hose to a minimum and ensure that
it is connected direct to an outside wall outlet.
Ensure that dust and debris is cleaned up from the immediate area of
the appliance prior to it being switched on and tested for the first time.

Section 2. Safety Advice
Never allow children to play with this appliance or operate the
appliance unsupervised.
This appliance is manufactured and intended for DOMESTIC use
only. The guarantee offered with the appliance is not valid for any
installation in a commercial environment.
The mesh filter must be cleaned on a regular basis in order to help
maintain the appliance in good working order.
Always turn off the electricity supply before cleaning the mesh filter or
the appliance exterior.

Section 3. Operating the Appliance
Turn on the power, the buzzer will buzz five times. The sound
indicates that the appliance is powered.
Push the Low button and the indicator light 1 will illuminate, the
buzzer will sound once and the motor runs at low speed. Press it
again and the motor will stop.
Push the Mid button and the indicator light 2 will illuminate, the
buzzer will sound once, and the motor runs at medium speed. Press it
again and the motor will stop.
Push the High button and the indicator light 3 will illuminate, the
buzzer will sound once, and the motor will run at high speed. Press it
again and the motor will stop.
Push the Light button and the indicator light 4 will illuminate together
with the two lights for hob illumination. Press it again and the lights
will turn off.

Section 4. Maintenance
The mesh filter is made of high-density stainless steel. Remove the filter, as
shown in Picture 7. and wash with warm soapy water or place in the
Dishwasher on a 60-degree wash.

The main body of the cooker hood should be cleaned with warm soapy water –
never use abrasive detergents on either the filter or main body.
INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE CHARCOAL FILTER
Your Cooker Hood is designed to extract directly to the outside air. Should your
installation not allow you to use this facility, it is possible, by fitting a charcoal
filter, to use the product in a re-circulation mode.
A charcoal filter kit is available as an accessory and may be purchased via
the Sovereign Service Help line on 01527- 573010. Please quote part
reference CF121 when ordering.

Fitting The Charcoal Filter Kit.
Remove the mesh filter from the underside of the hood (See Diagram 1
below and Description of Appliance on Page 3.)
Insert the carbon filter into the filter holder as shown below (Diagram 3)
Lock the filter in place by turning the two locking arms inwards (Diagram 4)
Replace the filter(s) every 3 to 4 months.
