INSTRUCTIONS PART 1: Build Terrace Base Unit
STEP 1:
Set upright frames parallel, standing up, set
at the following distances:
4 Bike Single-Sided or 8 Bike Double-Sided
Module: 26.5 inches
6 Bike Single-Sided or 12 Bike Double-
Sided Extension Module: 42.5 inches
8 Bike Single-Sided or 16 Bike Double-
Sided Module: 58.5 inches
12 Bike Single-Sided or 24 Bike Double-
Sided Module: 90.5 inches
STEP 2:
Install the inside connecting bar at the rear
of the upright frames.
Orient the part as shown in the image with
the hole closest to the upright frame on the
right.
NOTE: If installing a single-sided module,
the part is not symmetrical, therefore the
correct orientation is critical (refer to image
and the placement of holes). For double-
sided modules, the part is symmetrical and
can be installed in either orientation.
For any module type, the hex nuts should be
on the bottom of the part when installed.
Thread four (4) 5/8” long 3/8-16 hex bolts
and washers. DO NOT fully tighten fasteners
as realignment may be necessary.

STEP 3:
Install the outer connecting bar at the front
of the upright frame ensuring the hex nuts
are located on the bottom of the part.
NOTE: This part is not symmetrical,
therefore, ensure proper orientation of
holes as pictured when installing.
Thread two (2) 5/8” long 3/8-16 hex bolts
and washers. DO NOT fully tighten
fasteners.
If installing single-sided modules, continue
to STEP 4.
For double-sided modules, install the
outside connecting bar on the opposite
side.
Be careful to match the orientation of the
connecting bar to what is shown in the
image to the right.

STEP 4:
Install cross tube using four (4) 3-3/4” long
3/8-16 hex bolts, washers, and nylock hex
nuts.
If assembling a single-sided module, install
the cross tube such that the Sportworks logo
is in the position shown. This ensures that
the tray mounting holes are oriented
correctly.
For double-sided modules, the cross tubes
are symmetrical.
The boltsshould extend outward with the
nuts on the outside of the upright frames, to
facilitate later installation of extension units.
Tighten these bolts, then all other bolts that
were previously left loose.
STEP 5:
Move partially assembled frame into final
position.
For single-sided modules, ensure a
minimum of 4” spacing between the back of
the rack foot and the wall as shown.
Install extension module frames if applicable
– see Appendix A

INSTRUCTIONS PART 2: Install Bicycle Trays
STEP 1:
Attach the level 1 position 1 tray to the
holes on the bottom connecting bar
farthest to the left.
Use two (2) 7/8” long 3/8-16 hex bolts and
washers for the rear cross bar. A T45
tamper-resistant Torx screw should be
used to secure the front of the tray.
STEP 2:
Attach a level 1 position 2 tray using the
holes 16” to the right of the level 1 position
1 tray just installed. Use two (2) 7/8” long
3/8-16 hex bolts and washers for the rear
crossbar. A T45 tamper-resistant Torx
screw should be used to secure the front
of the tray.

STEP 3:
Install the level 2 position 1 tray using
the holes on the upper cross tube farthest
to the left. Support the weight of the tray
while securing the four (4) 1” long 3/8-16
hex bolts and washers.
NOTE: If assembling a 6-bike single-sided
or 12-bike double-sided extension
module, there are a quantity of two (2)
level 1 position 1 trays that will be
installed on each side, with a quantity of
one (1) level 1 position 2 tray in the
center.

STEP 4:
Install the level 2 position 2 tray using
holes 16” to the right of the level 2 position
1 tray just installed.
Support the weight of the tray while
securing the four (4) 1” long 3/8-16 hex
bolts and washers.
Continue all level 2 tray installations
alternating heights between position 1 and
position 2 trays with a tray every 16”.
NOTE: If assembling a 6-bike double-
sided or 12-bike double-sided extension
module, there are a quantity of two (2)
level 2 position 1 trays that will be installed
on each side, with a quantity of one (1)
level 2 position 2 tray in the center.
NOTE: If assembling a double-sided
module, move to the rear of the rack to
install trays using the method described.
Start with lower tier trays, then proceed to
attach the upper tier trays. This will prevent
the risk of hitting your head on upper trays
while completing assembly.

APPENDIX A: Install Extension Module Frames
STEP 1:
Set first extension upright frame to the
right of the base assembly.
Spacing distances between uprights are
the same as with the base assemblies
(see Part 1, Step 1).
NOTE: If installing a 6-bike single-sided
or a 12-bike double-sided extension,
ensure this module is the furthest right
extension in the assembly to maintain the
correct vertical stagger of the bike trays.
STEP 2:
Install lower connecting bars to the first
extension and add hardware just as in
base modules, leaving bolts loose until
after cross bars are installed.
Repeat these two steps for any
remaining extension modules as
necessary.

STEP 3:
Remove nuts and washers from the right
side of base module, leaving bolts in
place. Install first cross tube on extension
and install bolts and washers through
right side. Add nuts on the open bolts to
the left of the extension.
Do not install nuts or washers at this
time, if there are more extensions that
need to be installed.
STEP 4:
Continue process until all cross tubes are
installed.
Once complete, tighten all fasteners on
cross tubes and on lower connecting
bars.
Refer to Part 2 Step 1 for installation
instructions for bicycle trays.
NOTE: If the layout is planned with
adequate ingress, egress, and loading
aisle clearances, install floor anchors
now, prior to bicycle tray installation
referring to Part 2 Step 5. If modules may
be later moved, install floor anchors after
bicycle tray installation.
