food – juicer cover, food pusher, micro-mesh filter, juicing bowl, pulp
container and juice jug. Wipe the motor block with a damp cloth and
dry immediately with a soft cloth. Assemble the appliance, take out the
required length of the cable and plug it into the mains supply.

DISASSEMBLING THE POWER JUICER
1 Turn the switch
10
to “0” and unplug from the mains supply.
Ensure that the appliance has come to a complete stop.
2 Remove the pulp container
4
by holding it with both hands
and pivoting its lower end away from the juicer.
3 Place both hands on either side of the interlocking safety arm
1
, pull back and lift over the grooves on either side of the
juicer cover, then lower it.
4 Hold the juicing bowl
12
with both hands and lift it off the
motor block with the micro-mesh filter
4
still in place.
5 Place the juicing bowl
12
into the sink and remove the juice
spout
2
.Turn the juicing bowl upside down to remove the
micro-mesh filter
4
.
USING THE POWER JUICER
1 Wash the ingredients and remove any hard or inedible parts
(stones, pits, hard skin, rind, pith, etc. ).
2 Ensure that the appliance is correctly assembled, the juice jug
9
is placed under the juice spout
2
, and pulp container
5
is in position before commencing juicing (the pulp container
can be lined with a bio-degradable or food-safe bag for easier
disposal or further consumption of the pulp).
3 Plug the cable to the mains supply and turn the power ON at
the power outlet.
4 Place the ingredients into the feed chute
7
and turn the switch
10
to desired speed to switch the appliance on:
1LOW SPEED - for juicing soft fruit and vegetables such as
apricots, berries, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumber,
grapes, kiwis, mangoes, oranges, pears, watermelons,
tomatoes, watermelons, etc.
2HIGH SPEED - for juicing hard fruit and vegetables such as
apples, carrots, brussels sprout, fennel, plums, beetroot,
celery, etc.
PULSE SHORT BURSTS OF VERY HIGH SPEED - for very hard
ingredients. The switch does not permanently engage in
the ‘PULSE’ setting. You have to hold the dial or turn it
repeatedly to the ‘PULSE’ setting.
After juicing, always turn the switch to the ‘0’ setting and unplug
the appliance from the mains socket.
5 With the motor running use the food pusher
8
to gently guide
food down and extract the maximum amount of juice. The juice
will flow into the juice jug
9
and the pulp will separate and
accumulate in the pulp container
5
. Do not use your fingers or
other utensils to push the ingredients down the chute.
6 Do not allow the pulp container
5
to overfill as this may
prevent correct operation or cause damage to the appliance.
To empty the pulp container during juicing, turn the Power
Juicer off by turning the switch to “0” and remove it as
described in disassembling instructions. Replace the empty
pulp container
5
before continuing to juice.

USE & CARE
Power Juicer Instruction Manual
JUICING TIPS
• Always use fresh fruit and vegetables and wash them well
before using and storing.
• If using ingredients with hard or inedible skin always peel
before juicing. Fruits with pits, hard seeds or stones must be
pitted before juicing.
• Add a little lemon juice to apples, pears and similar fruits to
prevent browning.
• Start juicing the softer ingredients first on low speed 1, then
increase the speed 2or PULSE when adding harder ingredients.
• When juicing herbs, sprouts or leafy vegetables, wrap them
together into a bundle or mix them with softer ingredients and
juice on low speed for best extraction.
• Always push the food pusher down slowly to maximize juice
extraction.
USING THE PULP
Pulp remaining after juicing fruits or vegetables is rich in cellulose
and fibre, containing vital nutrients and can be used in many
ways. Just like juice, the pulp should also be used on the day to
avoid oxidation and loss of nutrients. The pulp can be used to
thicken sauces, soups and casseroles, in deserts and bakes, and
is also great as compost in the garden. Before using the pulp for
consumption ensure that any hard pieces of fruits or vegetables
are removed.
CLEANING
ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE APPLIANCE IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE
MAINS SUPPLY BEFORE DISASSEMBLING, CLEANING AND STORING.
NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR BLOCK IN WATER. THOROUGHLY
CLEAN ALL THE SURFACES THAT COME INTO CONTACT WITH FOOD
DURING THE NORMAL USE.
1 Immediately after each use, rinse all the removable parts
under running water and allow to air dry.
2 Soak the micro-mesh filter
4
for about 10 minutes in warm
soapy water, then hold it under the running water and use the
supplied brush to ensure that all the pulp is removed from
the mesh and any openings.
3 If there is any dried up pulp, soak the micro-mesh filter
4
in
warm soapy water then use the brush again. Never soak the
micro-mesh in bleach and always treat it with care as it can
be easily damaged.
4 After disassembling the appliance thoroughly wash all the
removable parts with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher
on the top rack.
5 Wipe the motor block with a damp cloth and immediately dry
with a soft cloth.
