Message from the Founding Team!
Dear Prana Owner and SVM Customer,
We heartily congratulate you on owning a Prana, revolutionized personal commuter solution. We also
salute your pioneer leadership in choosing to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
Prana (Engineered by SVM) is a high-performance premium class motorcycle, designed to treat you with
smooth rides the way you choose!. Just like your body, Prana has simple care instructions for smoother
operation.
Prana uses Electrical energy stored in the Battery to power itself, this also means you can have the
convenience of full-tank every morning from your comfortable home.
Prana has unique features such as “mode” which caters the power based on the mode selection. We
recommend you to Practise riding and then experience the drive and sports modes. You Prana also has
Reverse mode to help you with ease of operation.
Please remember that even when the torque setting is set to a slow (Practise) setting, the torque on these
motors is virtually instant. This means that opening the throttle will propel the motorcycle to a rapid
speed almost instantly.
For developing good riding skills this is a wonderful feature, as it will help you to learn the throttle
control gradually with lower power. In Drive and Sports mode, it delivers quite a bit of power and
acceleration.
Your Prana has great capabilities and can grow with the skills of the rider to very high levels of
performance, but it is important to start slow and speed up as you improve.
Thanks again for purchasing a wonderful Prana from SVM. Enjoy your smooth, fast, fun and safe rides!
For every km you drive in the Prana you are avoiding the harmful emission into your local atmosphere.
We expect to share your privilege and pleasure with your friends and family.

SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING: DRIVING LICENSE REQUIRED
Prana needs driving license to drive.
Failure to obey all of the warnings & instructions contained in this manual may result in serious injury or
death and/or permanent damage to your Prana.
This motorcycle is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial purposes. The use of this
Prana for commercial purposes, such as rentals, will void all warranties.
Maintain proper posture while riding. The posture of the rider is important for proper control of the
motorcycle. The rider should keep both hands on the handlebars and both feet on the footrests during
operation in order to maintain control of the motorcycle. Never ride under the influence of alcohol or
other drugs.
HELMETS
Always follow these instructions for protective equipment for every ride in order to limit the risk of
injury in case of an accident. The rider and passenger should wear standard good quality helmet. Helmet
is the single most critical factor to reduce injuries in case of accident.
Don’t ever allow your Prana motorcycle to be ridden without helmet

6
KEY FUNCTIONS
MODE SELECTION :
Prana has 4 driving modes, the driving mode selector is located in the left-hand side of the handlebar.
The mode controls the amount of power the Prana will deliver & also limits the top-speed. Please check
the mode selector prior to every ride to ensure predictable operation. Page #10 has a detailed mode
selection function.
ELECTRIC DRIVETRAIN:
Prana has all electric direct drive system. It frees you from complex gear changing and clutch function
so that you can focus on driving and enjoy the surroundings. Prana is elite than the regular petrol
motorcycle.
REGENERATIVE BRAKING:
Prana turns into power generator while braking. It helps to gain electricity otherwise wasted as heat.
Therefore it has faster braking action and easy on tyres.
ENGINE ON AS SOON AS POWER IS ON:
Prana’s engine is ON as soon as the key is turned ON. Be aware that your motorcycle is still ON when
stopped and while at an “idle”. Accidentally twisting the throttle can quickly accelerate the vehicle &
cause harm. Use the kill switch to cut-off the engine/motor.
GOOD RIDING GUIDELINES
1. Prana motorcycle is designed to drive with a maximum of two people.
2. Long hair, loose clothing or items worn by the rider must be covered to prevent entanglement in
moving parts of the vehicle or the surroundings while riding.
3. Do not exceed the weight limit. Heavier riders may significantly reduce performance and/or render the
vehicle unstable and/or over-tax the brakes and other control devices.
4. Do not touch any moving or hot parts.
5. Do not ride on steep or uneven surfaces. Steep or uneven surfaces greatly increase the likelihood of
loss-of-control.
6. Do not ride faster than the conditions permit for safe operation. Excess speed greatly increases the
likelihood of loss-of-control.
7. The rider should be securely seated on the vehicle ready to ride before turning the power switch on.
NOTE:
Many motorcycle accidents are caused by rider error. A typical error made by motorcycle riders is
veering wide on a turn due to EXCESSIVE SPEED or under cornering due to insufficient lean angle
for the given speed.
OBEY ALL LAWS:
SVM bikes are for ON ROAD USE ONLY. Prana motorcycle cannot be used on OFF roads. The
purchaser, owner, and/or riders of this motorcycle are directly responsible for ensuring that they obey
all local, state, federal and national laws regarding the riding and use of this motorcycle.
BATTERIES:
Prana is equipped with Lithium-ion batteries. Go to page no 16 learn about these batteries and the correct
charging procedure.

MAINTENANCE:
Prana requires significantly less maintenance compared to traditional gas bikes since they have very
few moving parts, no fuel burning engine, and no exhaust. The brake fluids and disc need normal
routine maintenance. Our authorized dealers have extensive experience and know the SVM motorcycle
in and out, so they can provide high-quality service for your SVM Bikes.
BEFORE EACH RIDE:
● Check the air pressure
● Check the throttle and brake controls.

11
DAILY MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND WASHING:
Keep your Prana clean and dry. Regularly check all components for tightness and adjustment,
including handlebars, levers, axles, brakes.
CLEANING :
Cleaning is extremely important. This will ensure your PRANA to serve you for a long time. In the long
run, it will save you money and a lot of time waiting for the PRANA to be repaired. You should clean
your PRANA weekly. Clean gently but thoroughly. Do not use aggressive power jets or water sprays
when washing the Motorcycle. Recommended to use a soft wet cloth to wash and wipe the vehicle.
Keep water out of the battery as much as you can. After cleaning make sure that vehicle parts are dry
and clean. While cleaning, it is a good opportunity to look closely for a worn, loose, cracked, rust,
teared or damaged parts. For any assistance, contact your dealer.
Make sure that the charger port is closed before cleaning.
LUBRICATION
A clean, lubricated Motorcycle tends to be faster, smoother and quieter. Apply the lubricant to the brake
levers, side stand and wipe out the excess lubricant with a rag. After a while, clean the parts with a
degreaser to remove any excess dirt that has been collected.
WEATHER
Avoid the PRANA out in the rain, snow and sunlight. Do not open up the motor, battery, and charger
casings, etc. as you are unlikely to be able to reseal them effectively afterward, making them more
susceptible to water damage and other extreme weather conditions.
CAUTION:
Do not use any harsh chemical products on plastic parts. Be sure to avoid using cloths or sponges which
have been in contact with strong abrasive cleaning products, solvent or thinner, fuel(gasoline), rust
removers or inhibitors, brake fluid, antifreeze, or electrolyte.
NOTE :
After washing the motorcycle, allow all of the electrical components to dry prior to operation. If the
motorcycle is ridden after being washed, apply both brakes several times in order to remove any
moisture from the brake pads.
WARNING!
Do not operate your Prana if any damage is apparent. Immediately contact your local retailer/
distributor or SVM Customer Service.
There are no user serviceable elements incorporated into the motor, motor controller, batteries, battery
charger, throttle or wiring harness of your PRANA.

2) Brake fluid (DOT 3 or DOT4) level should always above the lower mark (B) provided on the master
cylinder when the master cylinder is parallel to the ground.
3) If the brake fluid is below the mark or while applying brake is more spongy or ineffective due to air
entry, contact SVM authorized dealer for topping-up the brake fluid, air bleeding and other brake related
inspections.
BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR:
Visually check the brake pads wear. If the wear is beyond the wear indicator groove as shown in the
figure, then replace the brake pads as a set with a new one.

13
TYRES
TYRE PRESSURE :
Check the tyre pressure at least once a week, if not more frequently. Insufficient air pressure in the tyres
not only hasten tyre wear, but also seriously affects the stability of the vehicle.
Under inflated tyres make smooth cornering difficult and over inflated tyres decreases the tyre contact
with the ground which can lead to skidding and loss of control, Be sure the tyre pressure is within
specified limits at all times.

RIDING INSTRUCTIONS & SAFETY TIPS (NOVICE RIDERS)
With the bike set up correctly, your SVM PRANA is ready to ride. The novice riders, please follow
these tips and instructions. The riders will get the most enjoyment if they feel safe and in control. Do
not be tempted to accelerate too quickly. Make sure the speed and power settings are set slow, to begin
with.
FIRST RIDE (NOVICE RIDERS)
Sit down on the bike and locate the controls while the bike is switched OFF. After you understand the
controls and are comfortable with them, it’s time for the first ride. For this, make sure you are dressed
correctly in suitable safety wear, helmet. The area for riding must be flat, open and safe, with no
obstacles of any kind. Set the drive mode to Practise.
1. Ensure the power is turned off.
2. Sit down on the bike, rock the motorcycle from side to side, and forward and back, to get
comfortable.
3. Switch the motorcycle ON, by switching the power switch to the ON position.
4. Before twisting the throttle, you should have your legs off the foot pegs and spread out.
5. Twist the throttle smoothly and slowly and set off.
6. Once comfortable, lift your feet onto the foot pegs as you ride.
7. Once stopped, turn the lock switch to lock position. & turn the power switch to the OFF.
BRAKING
For safe riding, it is very important to master the braking techniques
1. Release the throttle. While releasing the throttle, the vehicle itself undergoes regenerative
braking,
2. Hold the vehicle upright as you apply the brake.
3. Progressive application of brakes is safer
4. Apply both the brakes
5. Riding down hills, while cornering and wet roads, close the throttle, the regenerative braking
helps to control the over speed.
WARNING
As the vehicle speed increases, the stopping distance also increases progressively. Be sure that you have
sufficient distance between you and the vehicle or obstruction ahead of you. Apply both brakes together
and with great care on a wet road or other slippery surfaces. Any abrupt braking on the slippery or
irregular roads can cause loss of rider’s control.

19
RANGE AT SINGLE CHARGE
The range depends upon the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle. Soft braking / releasing the
throttle slows down the vehicle and adds the range. Hard braking decreases the range and stopping
distance of the vehicle.
