Regular Cycle
Use for sturdy items, like play or work clothes,
towels, T-shirts, etc. The wash time selection will
depend on the type of fabric and the amount of soil.
For the best results when cleaning heavily soiled
items, use a longer wash time (15 minutes
maximum). Lightly soiled items require less wash
time.
Permanent Press/Knits Cycle
Use for permanent press items and synthetics. The
wash time selection will depend upon the type of
fabric and amount of soil.
The PERMANENT PRESS/KNITS cycle
automatically cools the temperature of the fibres
before the spin. After the wash, the agitation stops,
the washtub spins slowly, partially drains and then
stops. Cold water will then be automatically added
to the washtub until the proper water level is
reached. This happens one or two times, depending
on the size of the load and type of drain connection.
When the COOL DOWN is complete, the washer
will pause shortly before continuing the cycle.
Soak/Prewash (With Options Switch OFF)
Use for heavily soiled or stained clothing. Turn
timer knob to the beginning of the SOAK/
PREWASH cycle. Pull timer knob out to start the
water fill. Add detergent to the washtub, then place
the load into the tub. Close lid. After fill is
completed, agitation will begin. This cycle has
alternateperiods ofagitation and soaking.After the
soak/agitation periodis over the washer will gointo
an infinite pause and remain there. Do not leave
clothes sit in washer overnight. To complete the
cycle, manually advance the timer to spin. After
spin, select appropriate cycle and pull timer out to
start the water fill. Once the water mixes with the
clothes, add detergent.
Soak/Prewash (Using the Options Switch)
See Options on following page.
Delicate/Woollens Cycle
Use this cycle to wash delicates and machine
washable woollens. A full tub of water is
recommended (even for small loads) to allow the
delicate items to move freely through the water.
More water helps reduce fabric wear, wrinkling,
and provides for a clean wash. Both wash and spin
actions are at slow speed.
Super Wash
Use this cycle for very heavily soiled or stained
clothing. This cycle will go through the Soak/
Prewash, Regular and Extra Rinse cycles. The
option switch must beon Super Wash for this cycle.
Extra Rinse
Use this cycle for items you would like to have
rinsed only. The washtub will fill to the level you
have selected on the LOAD SIZE control. Washer
will agitate for fiveminutes, pause shortly and spin.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, serious injury or death to
persons, read the IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS in the Use
and Care Guide before operating
your washer. W018E

dot (•), show which temperature settings will
use the least energy.
