GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

of the product, its operating characteristics, and safety
operating instructions before operating this device. Safety

OPERATING THE DEVICE.
Keep this manual in a safe place for later reference.
• Confirm that the load to be applied does not exceed the
working load limit of the vehicle support stands.
• conduct a pre-operational check of the equipment.
• Use vehicle support stands on a hard level surface, such as
concrete.
• Use vehicle support stands in pairs.
• Check that no part of the underbody of the vehicle will foul as
the stands are positioned.
• Ensure that each stand is securely located under a strong point
of the vehicle. Consult the vehicles manufacturer's manual for
guidance.
• Ensure that the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
• Chock the unlifted wheels of the the vehicle.
• Do not extend the height of the stand beyond its maximum
working height, nor use any item such as bricks or timber to
support the vehicle.
• Modifications MUST NOT be carried out or accessories added.

Description (Fig. A)
WARNING: Never modify the axle stand or any part of it.
Damage or personal injury couldresult.

Intended Use
This axle stand is intended to safely support one end of a
vehicle.
DO NOT let children come into contact with the tool.
Supervision is required when inexperienced operators use
thistool.
• Young children and the infirm. This tool is not intended
for use by young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
• This product is not intended for use by persons (including
children) suffering from diminished physical, sensory or
mental abilities; lack of experience, knowledge or skills
unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety. Children should never be left alone with thisproduct.
OPERATION (Fig. B, C)
Supporting a Load
WARNING: ENSURE THAT BOTH ENDS OF THE
U-SHAPED LOAD PIN ARE ALWAYS FULLY INSERTED
THROUGH EACH OF THE LOCKING HOLES ON THE
UPPER AND LOWER COLUMNS AND IS SECURED
USING THE LOCKING PIN. Damage or personal injury
couldresult.
1. Using a suitable jack, lift the vehicle so the axlestands can
be positioned into place.
2. Position the axle stand so that the load will be placed on the
centre of the saddle.
3. Lift the upper column upward to desired height and insert
both ends of the U-shaped load pin 4 into the locking
holes 6 through both the upper and the lower column.
4. Secure the U-shaped load pin with the locking pin 5 .
5. Slowly lower the vehicle onto the stands. Ensure the load is
centred on the saddle.
6. Ensure vehicle is secure and stable before working around or
under the vehicle.
Lowering Load
1. Using a suitable jack, lift the vehicle clear of the axlestands.
2. Remove stands from under the vehicle.
3. To lower stands, the locking pin from the U-shaped load pin.
Remove both ends ofthe U-shaped load pin 4 from the
locking holes 6 .
4. Follow procedures of jack operation to lower vehicle.
ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION (Fig. B)
Pre-Use Inspection:
• Prior to each use, visual inspection shall be made to the
device by checking for abnormal conditions including
cracked welds, leaks, and damaged, loose, or missingparts.
• Consult the vehicle owner’s manual to determine the
location of lift points.
• Other inspections shall be made per product
operatinginstructions.
• This device shall be inspected immediately if the device is
believed to have been subjected to an abnormal load or
shock. It is recommended that this inspection be made by a
manufacturer’s authorized repair centre.
• Owners and/or operators should be aware that repair of this
equipment may require specialized knowledge and facilities.
It is recommended that an annual inspection of the product
be made by a manufacturer’s authorized repair facility and
that any defective parts, decals, or safety labels or signs be
replaced with manufacturer’s specified parts.
• Be sure to set the vehicle in park with the emergency brake
on and chock the unlifted wheels of the vehicle.
Storage
Store in a dry location on a level surface.
1. For easy storage, move the upper column to desired height
and insert both ends of the U-shaped load pin 4 into
the locking holes 7 through both the upper and the
lower column.
2. Secure the U-shaped load pin with the locking pin 5 .
• Be sure that the vehicle and the jack are on a hard,
levelsurface.
Assembly:
The axle stands come pre-assembled with an adjustable upper
column inserted into the lower column.

Repairs
Any jack that needs repair, is found to be worn, or operates
abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL REPAIRED.
It is recommended that necessary repairs be made by a
manufacturer’s authorized repair facility if repairs are permitted
by the manufacturer.
Alterations
WARNING: Because of potential hazards associated with
this type of equipment, no modifications shall be made to
the product.
Attachments and Adapters
WARNING: Only attachments and/or adapters supplied
by the manufacturer shall be used. Serious injury or death
can occur if non-factory parts are used.
One Year Limited Warranty
STANLEY will repair or replace, without charge, any defects
due to faulty materials or workmanship for one year from the
date of purchase. This warranty does not cover part failure due
to normal wear or tool abuse. For further detail of warranty
coverage and warranty repair information, visit www.stanley.
com. This warranty does not apply to accessories or damage
caused where repairs have been made or attempted by others.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERS,

AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND EXCLUDES ALL
