Important Safety Information
Introduction
The operating instructions are to be considered as part of this appliance, they contain important information regarding use,
safety and disposal. Before using the appliance please read through the operating instructions carefully taking time to
familiarise yourself with all safety information and instructions for use. Only use the appliance in the way described and for
the stated purpose, the manufacturer has no liability for damage which is caused by improper use or incorrect operation.
How the Appliance Works
The appliance (i.e. ‘cool box, ‘unit’ or cooler) is a Thermoelectric cooler/warmer, performing both a cooling/warming function
by means of heat exchange which is achieved by using Peltier technology.
Proper Use
The electric cool box is to be used primarily for cooling pre-cooled food and drink, the cool box can also be used to keep
pre-warmed food warm. This appliance is intended for private domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use in
any way.

NOTE Cooling / Heating capabilities stated above will vary depending upon a number of key factors, for example, ambient
temperature, duration of use and item types placed in the unit.
Operation
Before putting the appliance into operation, we recommend for reason of hygiene that it is washed inside and out with a
damp cloth, see section ‘Care and Maintenance’ for more information.
DO NOT keep unpacked food in the appliance.
When switching the function from cooling to warming or vice versa, set the “Warm/Cool” switch to the “Off” position 10
minutes before changing the function; otherwise the life-span of the appliance will be shortened.
Using the appliance as a cooler:-
It is recommend that items placed in the unit be pre-chilled to assist the cooler in reaching the lowest temperature as
quickly as possible. Unit will continue to operate as long as power is supplied and contents will stay cool for some time

after the unit is disconnected or turned off. However, the inside temperature will rise to that of the surrounding air over
time. Exercise normal caution that you would for any food/drink in a cooling device. DO NOT eat or drink perishable
items that may have become spoiled due to in proper temperature control. Note: This appliance cannot provided proper
temperature control. This appliance is not designed for storing open containers or liquids.
DO NOT put ice or ice packs in the appliance.
Using the appliance as a warmer:-
It is recommended that items placed in the unit be pre-heated to assist the warmer in reaching the maximum temperature
as quickly as possible. Unit will continue to operate as long as power is supplied and contents will stay warm for some time
after unit is disconnected or turned off. However, the inside temperature will match to that of the surrounding air over time.
Exercise normal caution that you would for any food in a warming device.

! CAUTION The Warmer is intended to maintain the temperature of pre-heated food only, it is not designed to heat up
cold items or for storing open containers or liquids.
Tips for the best cooling/heating:-
Select a well ventilated location which is protected from the sunshine and only place pre-cooled or pre-warm contents into
the unit. Take care not to open the unit longer than necessary, as this will affect the performance of the appliance.
Ensure that the unit is not packed too full and that air can circulate properly between the contents of the unit.
Using the appliance in a vehicle:-
When travelling by car, do no transport the appliance in the passenger compartment.
DO NOT start vehicle with appliance plugged into socket. The resulting voltage surge could damage the unit. Unplug the
unit before starting vehicle, then re-plug appliance in after vehicle is running.
When operating with a DC 12V supply always ensure that the DC 12V plug is located rmly and safely in the connection
socket of the cigarette lighter and that the connection socket is free of dirt. If the contact between plug and socket is
inadequate, vibration from the car can cause the power supply to switch on and off in short bursts, this can results in
overheating.
When operating the with a DC 12V supply be careful not to switch the car engine on and off frequently, so that the power
supply to the appliance is not interrupted constantly . Also be aware that the car battery can be drained if the car engine is
switched off but you continue to use the appliance.
If you use the appliance in a car, when the car is not running, please be aware that water may leak from the appliance.
This may also happen when the function is changed from cooling to warming and vice versa, this is not a malfunction.

ONLY use this appliance in accordance with this instruction manual, please read these instructions carefully and keep for
future reference, the manufacturer has no liability for damage which is caused by improper use or incorrect operation.
Check the voltage indicated on the rating plate. This appliance is designed for AC 110V or DC 12V electric supply.
Suitable for indoor use only, or use in a vehicle.
Place the appliance on a at surface and make sure it is not in direct sunlight.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities,

or by those with lack of experience and / or knowledge, unless they are being supervised by a person responsible for their
safety, or unless they have been given instructions by this person concerning use of the appliance. Children must never be
allowed to play with the appliance.
DO NOT place heavy or easily breakable objects on top of this appliance.
DO NOT try to repair this appliance or power cord yourself, it must either be returned to the manufacturer or repaired by a
quali ed individual. Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user!
DO NOT install this appliance in a damp or wet location as this may cause the insulator to corrode and leak; also
condensation may build up on the outside of the cooler.
DO NOT scratch or scrape the appliance with sharp objects.
To disconnect the appliance from the wall hold the plug, DO NOT pull the cord.

Periodically check the power cord of this appliance and DO NOT use if damaged in any way. This power cord must only be

DO NOT immerse the appliance, power cord or plug, or get the cooler wet in anyway.
DO NOT touch the plug with wet or perspiring hands.
DO NOT insert any objects into the back of the cooler.
DO NOT put ice or ice packs in the appliance.

Ensure that the appliance is situated at an adequate distance from walls or objects, so that the air can circulate freely.
Ensure the ventilation slits on the back of the appliance are not covered and that the heat which arises during normal
operation can be dissipated adequately.
DO NOT place anything close to the appliance, it is recommended that a minimum of a 6” inch clear space is left from the
sides and back of the appliance.
DO NOT coil/bundle the power cord, or it may overheat.

Never place the appliance in direct proximity to naked ames or other sources of heat.
DO NOT use ammable sprays near the appliance, to avoid risk of ignition.

Technical Information
! • CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Only connect one power supply option to the unit at any given time, either a
DC 12V power feed or an AC 110V power feed. AC/DC power feeds MUST not be used together, if you do, there is a risk
of damage to the product. Use only the adapter provided with the unit.
1. For DC power supply (DC 12V), connect the DC plug to DC jack and connect the car power socket cable to the car
lighter socket. Then, switch the “Warm Cool” switch to Warm or Cool position to select the warm or cool function.
! • CAUTION: The “Warm/Cool” switch must be switched to the “OFF” position and the car power socket cable
unplugged when the car engine is turned off. Otherwise the car battery will be drained.
2. For AC power supply (110V), connect the output plug to the AC jack and connect the input plug to the power socket:
then, switch the “Warm/Cool” switch to Warm or Cool position to select the warm or cool function.
3. For cooling, set the “Warm/Cool” switch to the “Cool” position. The Green light indicates that the unit is cooling.
4. For warming, set the “Warm/Cool” switch to the “Warm” position. The Red light indicates that the unit is warming.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Before putting the appliance into operation, we recommend for reason of hygiene that it is washed inside and out with a
damp cloth.
Before any cleaning pull the plug of the connection cable out of the socket or of the cigarette lighter, otherwise there is a
risk of electric shock.
Use a damp cloth and mild soap solution to clean inside the appliance, use clean water to rinse of those parts cleaned with
soapy water.
Store the appliance and accessories in a dry, cool place.
DO NOT use any abrasive cleaning agents, if you do, there is a risk of damaging the appliance.
DO NOT immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water.
DO NOT splash the appliance with water on the exterior or interior, as this may lead to rusting and deterioration of the
electrical insulation.

Warranty
The warranty for this appliance is 6 months from the date of purchase. Any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of
merchantability are also limited to the duration of 6 months from the date of purchase. The warranty is not transferable from the
original purchaser.
The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please retain the original receipt safely, this receipt is required as proof of
purchase.
Should this appliance show any fault in materials or manufacture within 6 months from the date of purchase, it will be repaired or
replaced at our choice by us free of charge.
The warranty is conditional on the defective appliance and the receipt of purchase being presented within the 6 month warranty
period.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, you will receive the repaired appliance back or a new appliance. A new warranty period
does not commence with the repair or with the exchange of the appliance: the warranty period will not be extended by repairs or
exchange made under warranty.
The warranty applies to faults (material or manufactured), the warranty does not extend to accidental abuse, misuse or neglect.
The warranty lapses if the appliance is deemed to be damaged through accidental abuse, misuse or neglect or if it was not
maintained properly as per the directions given in the general instructions section.
The warranty will become void if any attempt is made to alter the product in any way.
Warranty Procedure
Please have your receipt and the model number available for all queries, the model number can be located on the rating label on
the appliance itself.
Should any fault or defect arise, please email support@robefactory.com, provided you can provide a copy of proof or purchase
and the warranty period has not expired, we will begin our warranty process.
Product returns which have not been notied in advance and in accordance with the procedure cannot be processed.
Product Disposal
When your appliance has come to the end of its life, please do not throw it out with other household refuse. In the interests of the
environment please take your appliance to a suitable centre where it can be disposed of properly. For more information on this
subject please contact your local refuse authority for further detail.
