About The Stratitec MultiStage™ Surge Protection Technology
This Stratitec surge suppressor meets the L 1449 Rev 2 specification. The L specification ensures this surge suppressor is safe to use and is effective as a surge
suppressor. Note: Surge suppressors made before Feb 1998 generally do not meet the L 1449 Rev 2 specification and can be a fire hazard. We strongly
recommend you discard any old surge suppressors and replace them with new units.
Accommodates three AC
blocks without blocking any
other outlets.

Note: In the event of a major surge on the telephone line, the tele-
phone protection circuitry will disconnect your equipment. The pro-
tection circuitry cannot be reset. If you find that your telephone
equipment does not work when plugged into the “O T” port, try
plugging your telephone equipment directly into the wall. If your
equipment then works, then the surge suppressor may have saved
it from destruction.

1 Plug the S3002 into an AC Outlet
The S3002 package includes:
7-Outlet MultiStage™ S3002
6 Ft. Telephone Cord
If you are missing any items, DO NOT RET RN PROD CT TO
STORE. Instead, please call our support center at 888.336.4418
The power cord can plug directly into an AC
outlet.
The power cord can also be routed through the bottom of the surge
suppressor.
Routing the cable through the bottom shortens the cord for a neat
appearance and allows easier access to the master power switch.
Flip the power switch to the “RESET” position. The red “Protected” light should
turn on.
Red “Protected” light - If this light is off but the devices
plugged into the surge suppressor are working, the AC
outlet the surge suppressor power cord is plugged into
may not be grounded. We highly recommend the use of
a grounded AC outlet.
If you are using a grounded AC outlet, and the red “Protected” light is off,
shut down, disconnect power to the surge suppressor, and contact the
Stratitec support center at 888 336 4418
Green “Grounded” light - When this light is on, it indicates that the surge
suppressor is plugged in to a properly-grounded outlet. If this light does not turn
on, you must move to a grounded outlet or have an electrician wire a proper
ground to your outlet. It is safe to use the surge suppressor with the “grounded”
light off, but the surge protection is greatly reduced and the Connected Equip-
ment Warrantly is void.
IMPORTANT! This surge suppressor must be plugged into a
properly-grounded 3-prong AC outlet. If you plug into a non-
grounded outlet or if you use a 2-prong to 3-prong adapter, the
surge protection will be greatly reduced and the Connected
Equipment Warranty will be void.
Note: The power switch contains an integrated circuit breaker. If the
surge unit becomes overloaded, the power switch will automatically
turn off. If this happens, unplug items from the surge suppressor, flip
the power switch to “Off” and then back to “Reset.”
The Stratitec S3002 incorporates two-stage technology to offer solid surge protection:
Stratitec IsolationFailsafe™ protects you and your equipment. If a massive surge occurs, the SurgeAbsorb™
circuitry signals the IsolationFailsafe™ circuitry to automatically disconnect power and shut off your equipment.
This provides ultimate power protection.
IsolationFailsafe™
Stratitec SurgeAbsorb™ diffuses and redirects surge energy, stopping it from reaching your equipment. Although
we use a powerful array of high quality surge absorbers, the protection decreases as surges are absorbed and your
equipment is protected.
SurgeAbsorb™
DSL Users: Connect the “out“ jack
of the surge suppressor to the DSL
filter’s “Line” or “In” connector. Con-
nect your DSL modem and phones
to the DSL filter.
For the highest level of continued protection, we suggest that you move surge suppressors that have been in use
for three or more years to protect less valuable equipment.

STRATITEC PRODUCT AND CONNECTED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY
Limited Product Warranty. STRATITEC warrants to the original purchaser of any STRATITEC Surge Suppressor for the life of the product, that the surge
suppressor shall be free of defects in assembly, or workmanship, and will repair, or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge (the “Limited Product
Warranty”), subject to the conditions, limitations and exclusions set forth herein.
Limited Connected Equipment Warranty. STRATITEC provides a Limited Connected Equipment Warranty, subject to the conditions, limitations
and exclusions set forth herein STRATITEC warrants that it will repair or replace, at its option, equipment that is damaged by transient voltage surge/spike or
lightning strike (an “Occurrence”) while properly connected through the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor to a properly wired AC power line with protective ground and
telephone line properly connected. This warranty applies only to connected equipment purchased prior to the purchase of the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor or
connected equipment purchased within twelve (12) months after the date of purchase of the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor. If STRATITEC determines that you are
entitled to compensation, STRATITEC will, at its option, pay you the present fair market value of the damaged equipment less $100.00, or pay for the cost of the
repair, up to the maximum amount set forth for your Surge Suppressor Model less $100.00, or send you equivalent replacement equipment. The maximum amount
of the warranty for your Surge Suppressor is shown on the product package or can be found on the STRATITEC web site at www.stratitec.com. The fair market
value of the equipment shall be the current value of the equipment specified in the most recent edition of the Orion Blue Book by Orion Research Corporation, Roger
Rohrs Publisher or a valuation as determined by STRATITEC at STRATITEC’s discretion.
Conditions and limitations applicable to both the Limited Product Warranty and the Limited Connected Equipment Warranty are as follows.
STRATITEC reserves the right to review the damaged STRATITEC Surge Suppressor, the damaged equipment, and the site where the damage occurred. All costs
of shipping the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor and the damaged equipment to and from STRATITEC for inspection shall be borne solely by the purchaser.
STRATITEC reserves the right to negotiate the cost and facility at which any repairs will take place, and STRATITEC must be notified and approve of any repair
facility before any connected equipment is serviced. Approval for repairs must be received in writing from an authorized STRATITEC representative prior to repairs
being made. Any repair or modification of the connected equipment or Surge Suppressor by a facility or entity not authorized in writing by STRATITEC voids this
warranty. If STRATITEC determines, in its sole discretion, that it is impractical to ship the damaged equipment to STRATITEC, STRATITEC may designate in its sole
discretion, an equipment repair facility to inspect and estimate the cost to repair such equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the equipment to and from such repair
facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Damaged equipment must remain available for inspection until the claim is finalized. Whenever
claims are settled, STRATITEC reserves the right to be subrogated under any existing insurance policies the claimant may have. Standard STRATITEC surge
protectors are designed to eliminate disrupting and damaging effects of momentary (less than 10ms) voltage spikes or impulses from lightning or other power
transients. If it can be shown that a voltage spike lasting longer than 10ms has occurred, the Occurrence will be deemed outside the rated capabilities of the surge
suppressor and the warranty is void. All above warranties are null and void if the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor in use during the Occurrence: (a) is not provided
to STRATITEC for inspection upon STRATITEC’s request; (b) Stratitec determines that the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor has been improperly installed, was
altered in any way, or was tampered with; (c) STRATITEC determines that the damage did not result from the Occurrence or that no Occurrence in fact took place;
(d) the repair or replacement of the damaged equipment is covered under another manufacturer’s warranty; (e) the repair or replacement of the damaged equipment
is covered under any insurance policy; or (f) STRATITEC determines that the connected equipment was not used under normal operating conditions or in accordance
with any labels or instructions. All STRATITEC Surge Suppressors must be plugged directly into a properly grounded 120VAC utility power source and must not be
“daisy-chained” together in serial fashion with other power strips, uninterruptible power supplies, grounding adapters, other surge protectors, or extension cords
except a single Stratitec GoldGround extension cord if included with the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor at the time of purchase. Any such installation voids all
warranties. The STRATITEC Limited Connected Equipment Warranty only applies to equipment that is listed by nderwriters’ Laboratories ( L listed) and has all
electrically conductive cords, cables or wires connected through the STRATITEC Surge Suppressor. The STRATITEC Limited Connected Equipment Warranty only
protects against damage to properly connected equipment where STRATITEC has determined, in its sole discretion, that the Surge Suppressor did not function
properly because it had defects in assembly, materials, or workmanship, causing it to operate outside design specifications, and the surge suppressor shows clear
signs of damage, and the damage resulted from the Occurrence. The Limited Connected Equipment Warranty does not protect against acts of God (other than
lightning) such as floods, earthquake, war, vandalism, theft, normal-use wear and tear, erosion, depletion, obsolescence, abuse, damage due to low voltage
disturbances (i.e. brownouts, sags, or power outages), non-authorized program, or system equipment modification or alteration.
Disclaimer of other Warranties and Limitation of Remedies The Limited Product Warranty and the Limited Connected Equipment Warranty are
the only warranties made by STRATITEC EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, and such implied warranties, if any, are limited in duration to twenty-four (24) months from the date of original purchase IN NO EVENT

POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES
