Bedienung sorgfältig durchzulesen und zu beachten.
Die in dem Kapitel Sicherheitshinweise aufgeführten
Maßnahmen sind unbedingt zu beachten.
Sicherheitshinweise
Allgemeines
Diese Betriebsanleitung enthält grundlegende Hinweise, die bei Aufstellung, Betrieb und
Wartung zu beachten sind. Sie ist daher vor der Montage und Inbetriebnahme vom
Monteur sowie dem zuständigen Fachpersonal/Betreiber zu lesen und zu beachten. Sie
muß ständig am Einsatzort der Anlage verfügbar sein.
Es sind nicht nur die unter diesem Abschnitt „Sicherheitshinweise“ aufgeführten,
allgemeinen Sicherheitshinweise zu beachten, sondern auch die unter den Abschnitten
eingefügten speziellen Sicherheitshinweise.
Personalqualifikation und Schulung
Das Personal für die Bedienung, Wartung, Inspektion und Montage muß die
entsprechende Qualifikation für diese Arbeiten aufweisen.
Gefahren bei Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise
Die Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise kann sowohl eine Gefährdung für Personal
als auch für die Umwelt und der Anlage zur Folge haben. Die Nichtbeachtung der
Sicherheitshinweise kann zum Verlust jeglicher Schadensersatzansprüche führen.

Sicherheitsbewußtes Arbeiten
Die in dieser Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Sicherheitshinweise, die bestehenden
nationalen Vorschriften zur Unfallverhütung sowie interne Arbeits-, Betriebs-, und
Sicherheitshinweise sind zu beachten.
Sicherheitshinweise für Wartungs-, Inspektions- und Montagearbeiten
Der Betreiber hat dafür zu sorgen, daß alle Wartungs-, Inspektions- und
Montagearbeiten von autorisiertem und qualifiziertem Fachpersonal ausgeführt werden,
das sich durch eingehendes Studium der Bedienungsanleitung informiert hat.
Grundsätzlich sind Arbeiten an der Anlage nur im Stillstand durchzuführen. Die in der
Bedienungsanleitung beschriebene Vorgehensweise zur Stillsetzung der Anlage muß
unbedingt beachtet werden.
Das Gerät/die Anlage ist bei Instandsetzungsarbeiten spannungslos zu machen und mit
einem Warnschild gegen unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten zu sichern.
Die Spannungsfreiheit am Gerät oder der Anlage ist zu prüfen.
Vor der Wiederinbetriebnahme sind die unter der „Anleitung“Montage/Inbetriebnahme“
vorbereitenden Maßnahmen zu beachten.
Eigenmächtiger Umbau und Ersatzteilherstellung
Umbau oder Veränderungen der Anlage sind nur nach Absprache mit der Firma STULZ
zulässig. Originalersatzteile und von der Firma STULZ zulässige Ersatzteile/Zubehör
dienen der Sicherheit. Die Verwendung anderer Teile kann die Haftung für die daraus
entstehenden Folgen aufheben.
Unzulässige Betriebsweisen
Die Betriebssicherheit der Anlage ist nur bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung
gewährleistet. Die in den technischen Daten angenommenen Grenzwerte dürfen auf
keinen Fall überschritten werden.
Dieses Zeichen weist auf besondere Maßnahmen oder
Gefahren hin, die unbedingt beachtet werden müssen.

1 Überblick
Das Dampfgebläse wurde für die direkte Verteilung des Dampfes im Raum entwickelt und eignet sich für
STULZ SupraSteam®Befeuchter mit einer Dampfleistung von 5,0 bis 15 kg/h.
Das Dampfgebläse wird mit 24 VAC betrieben und kann direkt auf dem Befeuchter oder extern mit einem
Montage-Kit montiert werden.
2 Betrieb
Die Ventilatoren des Dampfgebläses werden vom Befeuchter aktiviert und nehmen ihren Betrieb auf,
sobald der Thermostat des Gebläses die Temperatur von 50 °C erreicht. Der obere Teil des
Luftausganges ist mit einem manuellen Deflektor zur Ausrichtung des Dampfflusses im Auslass
ausgerüstet.
Die hinteren Luftansauggitter können mit einem optionalen, waschbaren Filter ausgestattet werden.

4 Demontage des Schutzgehäuses
Für die Installation des Dampfgebläses oder für Wartungseingriffe muss das Schutzgehäuse wie folgt
entfernt werden:
1. Das Dampfgebläse vom Stromnetz trennen.
2. Die beiden Befestigungsschrauben auf der oberen Gehäuseoberfläche lösen.
3. Das Schutzgehäuse vertikal mit einer leichten Drehung zur Vorderseite abnehmen, um es von der
Verteileröffnung abzulösen.
Zur Wiederanbringung des Schutzgehäuses die Schritte in umgekehrter Reihenfolge ausführen.

5 Montage des Dampfgebläses
5.1 Positionierung
Das Dampfgebläse kann auf dem Befeuchter (Abb. 5.1) montiert oder extern positioniert (Abb. 5.2) und
an den Befeuchter mittels Dampfschlauch (der separat zu bestellen ist) angeschlossen werden.
In beiden Fällen müssen die folgenden Anweisungen befolgt werden:
a) Der Dampfschlauch muss der Schwerkraft gemäß verlaufen, um den kondensierten Dampf zum
Befeuchter abzuschlämmen. Das Aufkommen von Wassersäcken oder Siphonen, in denen sich
Kondensat ansammeln könnte, ist zu vermeiden, damit sich keine Drosselstellen aufgrund von
Biegungen oder Verengungen bilden.
b) Die Länge des Dampfschlauches zwischen Befeuchter und Verteiler darf nicht über 4m betragen.
c) In Abb. 5.1 und Abb. 5.2 werden empfohlene Mindestabstände angegeben, um zu vermeiden,
dass der feuchte Luftstrom Personen, elektrische Geräte, Zwischendecken und kalte Oberflächen
erreicht, bevor der Dampf von der Raumluft vollständig absorbiert wird.
5.2 Installation auf dem Befeuchter
1. Die Fronthaube des Befeuchters entfernen (siehe Handbuch des Befeuchters)
2. Die Verschlüsse „A“ und „B“ von der Oberseite des Befeuchters abnehmen.
3. Das Schutzgehäuse des Dampfgebläses abmontieren (siehe Kapitel 4).
4. Ein Ende des Dampfschlauches an den Verteilereingang anschließen und
mit einer der mitgelieferten Schlauchschellen befestigen.
5. Den Kondensatschlauch an den geformten Innenanschluss des
Dampfgebläses anschließen.
6. Das mitgelieferte Versorgungskabel an die Klemmen „X1-X2“ der
Klemmleiste, die sich an der Seite des Dampfgebläses befindet, befestigen.
7. Das Dampfgebläse oben auf den Befeuchter aufsetzen und den
Dampfschlauch durch die Bohrung „A“ und den Kondensatschlauch durch
die Bohrung „G“ führen.
8. Den im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Dampfschlauch auf das in Tabelle 5.1
angegebene Maß schneiden.
9. Den Dampfschlauch am Dampfauslass des Befeuchterzylinders mit einer der mitgelieferten
Schlauchschellen befestigen.
10. Den Verteiler an der Oberseite des Befeuchters mit beiden selbstschneidenden Schrauben an den
Bohrungen „C“ befestigen.
11. Das Versorgungskabel durch die Bohrung „B“ führen und an die Klemme „X1“ und „X2“ des Befeuchters
anschließen.
12. Das Schutzgehäuse des Dampfgebläses und die Fronthaube des Befeuchters montieren.

5.3 Externe Installation
Für die externe Wandmontage des Dampfgebläses ist das Kit VSDBAS0000 zu verwenden.
Das Kit besteht aus einem Halterahmen für den Verteiler, der gemäß Abbildung 5.4 an der Wand zu
befestigen ist.
Installationsverfahren (siehe Abbildung 5.5)
1. Drei Bohrungen in die Wand bohren, siehe Abb. 5.4 oder die
externe Halterung als Bohrschablone verwenden. Darauf achten, dass
die beiden externen Bohrungen horizontal sind, damit der
Dampfverteiler gerade montiert werden kann.
2. Die externe Halterung mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben und
Dübeln an der Wand befestigen.
3. Nach der Wahl des Dampfschlauchverlaufs sowohl den
Dampfschlauch mit Øinnen= 30 mm, als auch den
Kondensatschlauch Øinnen= 7 mm nach Maß schneiden.
4. Das Schutzgehäuse des Dampfgebläses abmontieren
(siehe Kap. 4).
5. Den Kondensatschlauch an den geformten Innenanschluss des
Verteilers anschließen.
6. Den Dampfschlauch an den internen Anschluss des Verteilers
anschließen und ihn mit einer der mitgelieferten Schlauchschellen befestigen.
7. Das mitgelieferte Versorgungskabel an die Klemmen X1-X2 der Klemmleiste,
die sich an der Seite des Dampfgebläses befindet, anschließen.
8. Das Dampfgebläse auf die Halterung aufsetzen und den Kondensatschlauch an den Anschluss „G´ “
anschließen; den Dampfschlauch durch die Bohrung „A“ leiten.
9. Die Fronthaube des Befeuchters entfernen (siehe Handbuch des Befeuchters)
10. Eine Bohrung Ø= 40 mm in die Abschlussdichtung „A“ an der Oberseite des Befeuchters (Abb. 5.5) bohren.
11. Den Dampfschlauch durch die gebohrte Dichtung „A“ des Befeuchters leiten und ihn an den
Dampfauslass des Zylinders anschließen; den Dampfschlauch dann mit der mitgelieferten
Schlauchschelle am Zylinder befestigen.
12. Den Kondensatschlauch an den Anschluss „D“ der Halterung anschließen.
13. Das freie Ende des Kondensatschlauches an den Anschluss „G“ an der Befeuchteroberseite
(siehe Abb. 5.5) oder an den Abwasseranschluss anschließen.
14. Das Versorgungskabel in die Bohrung „B“ einfügen und an die Klemmen „X1“ und „X2“ des Befeuchters
anschließen.
15. Den Verteiler mit den beiden selbstschneidenden Schrauben, die durch die Bohrung „C´ “
anzubringen sind, an der Halterung befestigen.
16. Das Schutzgehäuse des Dampfgebläses montieren (siehe Kapitel 4).
17. Die Fronthaube des Befeuchters montieren (siehe Handbuch des Befeuchters).

6 Elektrische Anschlüsse
Der elektrische Anschluss muss von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal gemäß den am Installationsort
geltenden Sicherheitsvorschriften ausgeführt werden.
6.1 Konfiguration des elektrischen Anschlusses
Die Versorgung darf ausschließlich mit dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Stromversorgungskabel
erfolgen. Der elektrische Anschluss des Dampfgebläses wird in Abbildung 6.1 dargestellt und im Fall des
externen Anschlusses muss das Versorgungskabel dem Durchmesser AWG18 (Kabeldurchmesser
1mm²) angepasst werden.
7 Inbetriebnahme
Für die erste Inbetriebnahme und alle weiteren Wartungseingriffe muss das Funktionsprinzip der
folgenden Geräte bekannt sein:
- Deflektor: Der Deflektor ist vor dem Verteiler montiert
und reicht etwas in dessen Inneres hinein.
Er dient der Ausrichtung des Dampfflusses (siehe Abb. 7.1).
Die Neigung wird bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme festgelegt
und nur untere besonderen Umständen geändert.
Die Einstellung der Neigung darf nur bei kaltem Gerät
und nicht während der Dampfproduktion vorgenommen
werden, da Verbrennungsgefahr besteht!
- Luftfilter (falls vorhanden): Die Sauberkeit des Luftfilters
ist für einen konstanten Luftdurchfluss des
Dampfgebläses ausschlaggebend. Eine Nicht-Wartung
des Filters (Reinigung und/oder Austausch) beeinträchtigt
die Funktionstüchtigkeit des Dampfgebläses stark.
Für die Wartung hat der Bediener zu sorgen.
Sie muss mindestens einmal im Jahr und jedenfalls
in Abhängigkeit der Staubmenge in der Luft durchgeführt werden.

complied with by the fitter and the responsible trained staff/operators before assembly

Personnel qualifications and training
The personnel responsible for operation, maintenance, inspection and assembly must
have the appropriate qualifications for this work.
Hazards resulting from non-compliance with the notes on safety
Non-compliance with the notes on safety can endanger personnel and the environment
and the system. Non-compliance with the notes on safety may result in the loss of any
claims for damage.

Safety conscious work
The notes on safety listed in these operating instructions, the existing national
regulationson accident prevention as well as internal notes on work, operation and
safety are to be complied with.
Notes on safety for maintenance, inspection and assembly work
The operator has to ensure that all maintenance, inspection and assembly work is
carried out by authorized and qualified trained staff who are informed by means of an in-
depth study of the operating instructions.
Work on the system must only be carried out when it is shut down. It is absolutely
essential to comply with the procedure described in the operating instructions for
shutting down the system.
During maintenance work on the unit/system, it must be de-energized and prevented
from being switched on unintentionally by a warning sign.
The de-energized state of the unit or the system must be checked.
Before recommissioning the preparatory measures listed under the “Assembly/
Commissioning” instructions are to be complied with.
Independent conversion and replacement parts manufacture
The system may only be converted or modified after consultation with STULZ. Original
replacement parts and replacement parts/accessories authorized by STULZ help safety.
The use of other parts may invalidate the equipment warranty.
Unacceptable operating methods
The operating safety of the system is only guaranteed when it is used as intended.
The limit values assumed in the technical data must not be exceeded under any
circumstances.
This symbol indicates spezial measures or hazards to
wich it is essential to pay attention.

1 Overview
This product is designed and built to distribute steam into the room being treated, is suitable for immersed
electrode humidifier model STULZ SupraSteam® from 5,0 to 15 kg/h.
The ventilated steam distributor is powered at 24 VAC and may be installed on top of the humidifier or in a
remote position by using a kit.
2 Operation
The fans of the ventilated steam distributor are enabled by the humidifier and start working when the
thermostat, in contact with the distributor, reaches a temperature of 50°C.
The upper part of the air outlet is fitted with a manually-adjustable baffle, to adjust the direction of air flow.
The rear air suction grilles may be equipped with an optional washable filter.

4 Dismantling the guard
When installing the ventilated steam distributor or performing maintenance, remove the guard from the
appliance as shown in the instructions below (see Fig. 4.1):
1. Disconnect the ventilated steam distributor from the power supply.
2. Unscrew the 2 fastening screws on the upper surface of the guard.
3. Remove the guard vertically, rotating it slightly forwards to release it from the outlet.
To place the guard back in position, perform the same operations in reverse.

5 Assembling the ventilated steam distributor
5.1 Positioning
The steam distributor may be fitted to the top of the humidifier (Fig. 5.1) or alternatively positioned
separately (Fig. 5.2) and connected to the humidifier by a steam pipe, which can be ordered separately:
In both cases, the following rules have to be regarded:
a) The path of the steam pipe must exploit gravity to drain the condensate steam back to the
humidifier; pockets or traps must be avoided, as the condensate may accumulate there and the
pipe must not be chocked due to sharp bends or twisting.
b) The length of the steam pipe from the humidifier to the distributor must be less than 4 metres.
c) Figures 5.1 and 5.2 indicate the minimum recommended distances to prevent the humidified air
flow from coming into direct contact with people, electrical equipment, false ceilings and cold
surfaces before the steam has been absorbed by the environment.
5.2 Installation on top of the humidifier
1. Remove the front cover of the humidifier (see the humidifier manual).
2. Remove cap A from the top of the humidifier.
3. Remove the protective guard from the ventilated distributor (see Chap. 4)
4. Connect one end of the steam pipe to the distributor inlet and fasten it
by using one of the supplied clamps.
5. Connect the condensate drain pipe to the special fitting inside the distributor.
6. Connect the supplied supply cable to the “X1-X2“ clamp on the side of the
ventilated steam distributor.
7. Place the ventilated steam distributor on top of the humidifier, inserting the
steam pipe into hole “A” and connect the condensate drain pipe to fitting “G”.
8. Cut the steam supplied steam pipe to measure (see Table 5.1)
9. Using the 2nd clamp supplied, fasten the steam pipe to the steam outlet on
the humidifier cylinder.
10. Fasten the distributor to the top of the humidifier by using the two
self-threading plastic screws, placed in the holes “C”.
11. Carry the supply cable through bore “B” and connect it to the “X1” and “X2” clamp of the humidifier.
12. Replace the protective guard on the ventilated steam distributor and the front cover on the humidifier.

5.3 Remote installation
Use the kit code VSDBAS0000 for the remote wall-mounted installation of the ventilated steam

Procedure (with reference to Figures 5.4 and 5.5)
1. Make three holes in the wall as shown in Fig. 5.4 or using the remote
support as a drilling template: make sure that the two holes at the ends are
horizontal, so as to ensure level installation.
2. Fasten the remote support to the wall using the screws and anchors supplied.
3. After having established the chosen path, cut the steam pipe Øinner 30 mm
and the condensate drain pipe Øinner= 7 mm to measure.
4. Remove the protective guard from the distributor (see Chap. 4).
5. Connect the condensate drain pipe to the special fitting inside the
distributor.
6. Connect the steam pipe to the fitting inside the distributor and fasten it
by using one of the supplied clamps.
7. Connect the supplied supply cable to the “X1-X2” clamp on the side
of the ventilated steam distributor.
8. Rest the distributor on the support, fastening the drain pipe to connection “G´ ”
and passing the steam pipe through hole “A”.
9. Remove the front cover from the humidifier (see the humidifier manual)
10. Make a Ø= 40 mm hole in the closing gasket “A” located on top of the humidifier
(see Fig. 5.3).
11. Insert the steam pipe through the hole in gasket „A“ of the humidifier and connect it to the steam outlet on
the cylinder; then fasten it to the cylinder by using the 2nd supplied clamp.
12. Connect the condensate drain pipe to connection “D” on the support.
13. Connect the free end of the condensate drain pipe to connection “G”, which is located on the top of the
humidifier (see Fig. 5.5) or to the waste water drain.
14. Insert the power cable in the hole “B” and connect it to the clamps ”X1“ and „X2“.
15. Fasten the distributor to the support by using two self-threading plastic screws, placed in holes “C´ “.
16. Replace the protective guard on the distributor (see Chap. 4).
17. Replace the front cover on the humidifier (see the humidifier manual).

6 Electrical connections
The electrical connections must be performed by an expert and qualified personnel, who are capable of
completing the work correctly and in compliance with the standards in force in the place of installation.
6.1 Configuration for the electrical connection
Power supply must be supplied exclusively through the electrical power supply cable which is issued with
the unit. The internal wiring connection of the ventilated steam distributor is shown in Fig. 6.1 .
7 Start-up
The first time the appliance is started and when maintenance is performed, the operation of the following
devices must be understood:
- Baffle: The baffle is located slightly inside and upstream
of the outlet: it is used to change the steam flow direction
(see Fig. 7.1). The angle should be established
when starting the appliance for the first time and should be
only adjusted in case of special needs. The angle should
only be adjusted when the appliance is cold and
not when steam is being released, due to the risk of burns!
- Air filter (if present): The cleanliness of the air filter
is essential for ensuring a constant air flow to the
distributor. Neglecting the maintenance of the filter
(cleaning and/or replacement) will seriously affect the
operation of the steam distributor. The user of the
unit is responsible for maintenance, which has to be
performed at least once a year and in any case, according to
the amount of dust in the air.
