BATTERY OPERATION

Do not mix different types together (Alkaline, Carbon-
Zinc, Nickel Cadmium etc.), or old batteries with new
ones.
When the unit isnot being used fora long period oftime,
remove the batteriesto avoid damage frombattery
leakage and corrosion.
If battery leakage occurs,wipe the battery compartment
with a soft clothbefore inserting the newones.

POWER / BAND
When the batteries becomeweak, battery indicator flashes.
If batteries gettoo weak for properoperation, the unit
will automatically shut off.
Replace the batteriesimmediately to prevent memories
losing after the powerautomatically turns off.
Turn off theunit and then replacethe batteries with freshones
within 1 hour.
If the unit operates erratically, reset the unit bypress RESET
inside the battery compartmentto resume normaloperation.
Note that resetwill erase all ofthe memories including clock
setting.

TUNING IN TO A STATION
1. Manual Tuning
Press SCAN button(+ /- ) to tune into a clear
reception.
FM Step: 0.1MHz AM Step: 9KHz
Headphones cord functionsas antenna for theunit, plug
the headphone connector into earphone jack before
tuning, or you cannot tune in toany stations.
Manual tuning is more suitable for weaksignal broadcast.
When the receivingFM Stereo stationis strong enough
(and sound quality setto STEREO or BASS),Stereo
indicates in the display.
2. Quick Tuning
Keep SCAN button (+ / - ) presseduntil frequency indicator
changes, unit starts totune in to thestations automatically.When a
station is tuned in,scanning stops and thetuned station is heard.

Quick Tuningis more suitablefor strong signal broadcast,
it may not stopif broadcast signals are weak.
If tuning become slowly in a frequency range, try manual
tuning to see ifthere are someweak stations.
If there isa station you wish to skip during scanning, press and
hold SCAN button(+ or- ) toskip this station.
Press SCAN (+ or- ) button while quick tuning,scanning
will stop immediately.

3. Listening toPreset Stations
There are 30memories, 20 assignedto FM with preset number
0...19 and 10assigned to AM with 0...9. Rememberall the preset
station numbers forthe convenience of later listening.

SOUND QUALITY SELECTION
MONO: weak signal broadcast,voice program, mono broadcast.
STEREO: strong signal broadcast,music, FM Stereobroadcast.
BASS: strong music broadcast, bass stereo.
Set sound quality selection to different
position according to thereceiving broadcast.
MONO/ ST/ BASS
When listening to astereo broadcast, normallyset
MONO/ST/BASS to STEREO.
If you arelistening to the stereo music and prefer to a
bass effect, set theswitch to BASS.
If the stereoreception is tooweak or noisy, or you are
listening to voice program,set the switch toMONO.
Magnetic antenna inside theunit
functions as AMantenna, it is
strongly effected bythe reception
direction.
When listening toAM broadcast,
reorient the unit tofind the
position which gives thebest
reception.

After listening for 1hour, the unit automaticallyturns off toavoid
power wasting. If youwant to continue listening,turn on the unit.

Should anything wrong withthe radio, please removethe battery
and have the unitchecked by qualified personnelbefore operating
it any further.
When the unit isnot being used fora long period oftime, remove
the batteries to avoiddamage form battery leakageand corrosion.
The LCD display maybecome hard to seeor slow down when
using the unit athigh temperatures (above 40C) or at low
temperatures (below 0 C).At room temperature,the display will
return to its normaloperating condition.
The product may notoperate normally, whenthe ESD (8kv) applied
on the metal coatedbuttons. It is necessaryto reset manually.

ALIMENTACIÓN / BANDADE FRECUENCIAS
Cuando las bateríasse debilitan, elindicador de
batería parpadea.
Si la bateríase debilita demasiadopara un
funcionamiento correcto, launidad se desactiva
de forma automáticaa través deun circuito integrado
especial. Sustituya lasbaterías de inmediatopara
evitar que sepierda la memoriatras la desactivación
automática de laalimentación.
Desactive la unidady a continuaciónsustituya las
baterías por unasnuevas dentro deun periodo de
1 hora.
Si la unidadpresenta un funcionamientoerróneo,
reajuste ésta pulsandoRESET en elinterior del
alojamiento de bateríaspara retomar elfuncionamiento
normal.
Observe que alefectuar el reajustede parámetros se
borran todas lasmemorias, incluyendo elreloj.

SINTONIZACIÓN DE EMISORAS
1. Sintonización manual
Pulse el botónSCAN (Búsqueda) (+ / )
para sintonizar unarecepción con claridad.
Paso de FM:0,1MHz Paso deAM: 9KHz
El cable de los auriculares hace la función de
antena de la unidad, conecte los auriculares a la
toma de auriculares, antes de efectuar la
sintonización, de lo contrario no podrá sintonizar
ninguna emisora.
La sintonización manual es más adecuada para
las emisiones de señal débil. Cuando la recepción
de una emisora en FM estéreo es suficientemente
fuerte (y la calidad del sonido se establece en
STEREO (ESTÉREO) o BASS (GRAVES), aparece
en pantalla “Stereo”.
2. Sintonización rápida
Mantenga pulsado el botónSCAN (Búsqueda) (+ /- ) hasta
que cambie el indicadorde frecuencias, a unidadcomienza
de forma automática lasintonización de frecuencias.Al
sintonizar una emisora, labúsqueda se detiene, pudiéndose
oír la emisorasintonizada.

Si existe unaemisora que deseeomitir durante la
búsqueda, mantenga pulsadoel botón SCAN
(Búsqueda) (+ o- ) paraomitir dicha emisora.

3. Escucha deemisoras predefinidas
Existen 30 memorias,20 asignadas aFM con el
número predefinido 0...19y 10 asignadasa AMcon
0...9. Recuerde todoslos números delas emisoras
predefinidas para unacómoda escucha posterior.

La sintonización rápida es más adecuada para
las emisiones de señal fuerte, dicha sintonización
puede que no se detenga si las señales de las
emisiones son débiles.
Si la sintonización se ralentiza en un rango de
frecuencias, pruebe a sintonizar de forma manual
para ver si hay alguna emisora débil.

SELECCIÓN DE CALIDAD DE SONIDO
MONO: emisión deseñal débil, programade voz,
emisión en mono.
STEREO (ESTÉREO): emisiónde señal fuerte,
música, emisión enFM estéreo.

Establezca la selecciónde calidad de
sonido en unaposición distinta

Al escuchar unaemisión en estéreo,lo normal
es ajustar MONO/ST/BASS(MONO/ESTÉRO/
GRAVES) enSTEREO (ESTÉREO).
Si escucha músicaen estéreo yprefiere un
efecto de graves,ajuste el conmutadoren
BASS (GRAVES).
Si la recepciónestéreo es demasiadodébil o
ruidosa, o escuchaun programa devoz,
establezca el conmutadoren MONO.

sirve de antenade AM,su funcionamiento está
muy condicionado ala dirección dela recepción.
Al escuchar unaemisión en
AM, cambie laorientación

HORA) en modode memoria, el

PRECAUCIONES
Al manipular launidad
Evite la exposición a temperaturas extremas, la acción
directa de la luz solar, la humedad, la arena, el polvo o
choques mecánicos.
Si la radio presenta un funcionamiento erróneo, retire
