Troubleshooting B082WNLBWL
1. Steaming, pump or heat-up Issues.
Cause;
Limescale build-up,
Portafiler not secure.
Limescale
Solution;
Steamer, pump and heat-up issues might be due to limescale build-up or poor water quality. Hard
water can cause scaling which reduces the heat being transferred into the heating chamber. It
occurs over just a few weeks in locations with very hard water.
The use of filtered or bottled water makes a very big difference to barista-style coffee. Please also
empty the water tank about use or at maximum 2 days after use to prevent limescale build-up. It
will also affect the taste of the coffee.
Check for limescale:
Below is the guide on how to check for limescale in your water supply.
To help check for an interlude with the item, see the following steps; •
Have a quick look inside your kettle
•Is there any limescale in it?
•If there is then you need to use bottled water in this appliance because limescale will clog
the precision-engineered parts and break them.
•If there is not any limescale and you never need to de-scale your kettle then you’re
probably OK with tap water.
Please follow the descale guide in the instruction manual page 15.

3
Portafilter
Solution;
Before use please make sure that the portafilter is positioned correctly with the rubber gasket inside.
The portafilter needs to be correctly positioned for the machine to function. There may also be a
build-up of coffee around the gasket which is hindering the device’s performance.
Follow the guide layout in the instruction manual, remove the portafilter and check to make sure the
gasket is inside. Check the gasket for any coffee build-up and clean it gaskets should be replaced
quarterly for ultimate performance. If the gasket is dislodged or the portafilter is damaged please
contact our service line which is found at the front of our instruction manual.
2. Machine not dispensing coffee or is
dispensing very slowly.
Cause:
•The coffee is too fine or there is too much coffee in the portafilter.
Solution:
Discard the coffee from the portafilter and adjust the amount of coffee being used. Add more coffee
if the consistency is too fine.
3. Coffee machine is leaking.
Cause:
•limescale build-up/ blocked valve.
•Damaged water tank
•Portafiler positioning
•Drip tray
Solution:

4
The common factor for leaks is linked to mineral deposits being built up over time which will mean
the need to descale the device. The build-up of minerals from the coffee or limescale could also
affect the valve pump which may have been clogged, broken or damaged. A blocked value or a
build-up of lime scale will prohibit the device from circulating water which may cause the device to
leak as water is compressed to a single area. Please refer to the descaling process within our
instruction manual.
Please check the water tank for any chips or cracks. If any chips or cracks are discovered, please
contact our service line.
Remove the portafilter and inspect the inside to make sure there is not a build-up of coffee residue,
if there is please clean it. When in use please make sure that there is not too much coffee inside of
the filer and that the portafilter is tightly secure.
If there is too much water in the drip tray or if it is not seated properly then this may cause signs of a
leak. Please clean out the drip tray and ensure it is seated properly.
4. Coffee machine is not heating and
is making Clicking noises.
Cause:
Hard water
Blocked Valve.
Solution.
This could be related to the above comments, and the use of hard water, such issues reduce the heat
being transferred into the heating chamber. If the device is struggling to heat the water this may
cause overheating and loud noises. This valve is responsible for pulling in cold water and boiling the
water through a tube. If any type of dirt or other solid residue is trapped in the valve, it may cause a
clicking sound. The valve may be cleaned with a thin instrument or toothpick
5. The Steam Wand is not producing
any steam and is not frothing the
milk.

5
Cause:
•Airlock
•Build-up of fatty modules, which is blocking the wand. Milk type
Solution.
After frothing the milk, put an empty jug under the steam wand, then turn on the steam knob and
press down the pump control button to the lower position, for 30 seconds, then turn it off again.
This will clean out the steam tube. If the issue persists then use a small object such as a needle or
toothpick to scrap out any additional residue stuck inside the wand. Please do this when the wand is
cold.
If the milk is not frothing, then please revert to full-fat milk for the best results.
6. Distaste with the Coffee.
Cause:
•Beans are poor quality
•Beans are not fresh
•Beans have been ground too far ahead of brewing Beans have been ground
too coarse for espresso.
Solution:
The coffee beans are ground much too fine and the water cannot penetrate. This creates excessive
water pressure, which has to escape. In addition, the ground coffee is pressed into the filter too
heavily or is overfilled. Please reassess the amount of coffee being used. Please also remove the
coffee grounds from the portafilter and ensure that the portafilter is cleaned after each use. Please
make sure to use fresh coffee when in use.
Additional
troubleshooting
The machine is a different colour than to what is expected.
This is not a common issue as all machines are designed and manufactured to the same standard.
Firstly, please check the device and the packaging to ensure the correct product has been delivered.
Our Cotton White colour has a small undertone of yellow in comparison to a standard white. Should
you find that the machine is different to the colour that is expected, then please contact Amazon
directly.

6. Leakage Issue.
From filter;
Several possible causes.
a. The coffee beans are ground much too fine and the water can’t penetrate. This creates
excessive water pressure , which has to escape.
b. The ground coffee is pressed into the filter too heavily. Result is similar to 1 above.
c. The filter is overfilled with ground coffee.
d. Coffee grounds have to be removed each time from the filter rim
e. Coffee grounds need to be cleaned from the seal in the Docking
Please ensure that the portafilter is secure and tight and the gasket inside, “it is very important
that the filter is in position as shown in fig C before starting the coffee making process.” (page 9
of Instruction Manual). In addition to the first point, please check the positioning of the
portafilter, as the portafilter needs to be correctly placed for the steam process to work. “during
making steam, the porta-filter must be in position,” (page 12 instruction manual) this will
ultimately cause the device not to work including pumping water. Also, it is worth considering
any heavy use or customer misuse that may have resulted in the gasket moving. Please ensure it
is pressed against the seal. Pages 9 & 12 of the instruction manual supply information on how to
treat and maintain the portafilter.
Leaks from the bottom;
There is too much water in the drip tray or the tank is not seated properly, the best solution for
this is to clean out the drip tray and to ensure the tank is properly seated.
From the water tank;
This would be a result of heavy handling by the customer or during transit which has caused
damage to the water tank. The customer should check for cracks or chips in the water tank.
