Sweepovac StickVac 18K vacuum. We work hard to produce quality vacuums. Our key
focus is to manufacture vacuums that are very powerful and very easy to use. We hope
this will make cleaning easier, more thorough and less time consuming. We would love
your feedback and opinions, so please email us or post a review to let us know what you

WARNING - Do not use on wet surfaces, in wet environments or outdoors.
WARNING: Basic safety precautions should always be observed when using an electrical
appliance. Please observe the safety points on the following pages to reduce the risk of
fire, electrical shock, or injury.
CAUTION: The Sweepovac StickVac 18K vacuum does not stand upright without a
support. Please lie the vacuum flat on the floor between uses. Please ensure it does not
become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.
General Safety:
• Store indoors in a dry place and out of the reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 10 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge,
providing, they have been given instruction or are supervised using the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Never permit children to play with the appliance, ensure they are supervised while using.
• Ensure that the appliance and accessories are never used near or laid down on hot
surfaces.
• Ensure that the charger and cable are never used near hot surfaces.
• Ensure that the charger and cable are never used near sharp objects.
• Never block the appliances openings or hinder the air flow. Keep openings free of any
objects including dust, lint, clothing, fingers (and all parts of the body).
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving
parts in particular the spinning brush in the foot piece.
Electrical safety:
• Only use batteries and chargers supplied by Sweepovac
• Never tamper with or modify the charger in any way.

• Only use the charger supplied with the product.
• Ensure that the charger is compatible with the voltage in your geographic area. Please
check the rating label.
• Never use the charger supplied to charge any other battery or product other that the
Sweepovac StickVac 18K
• Ensure that there is no damage to the charger or cable before recharging. A damaged
cable can cause electrical shock.
• If the cable becomes damaged, discard appropriately immediately and replace with a
new charger.
• Never disconnect the charger from the machine or the socket from the wall outlet by
pulling the cord, always gently pull the plug.
• Do not handle the vacuum, or the cable or charger with wet or damp hands.
• Before any maintenance is carried out, ensure that the battery is removed and the
charging cable is unplugged from the power outlet in the wall.
• Ensure the appliance is always stored and charged indoors and never outside or in wet
or damp environments.
• Before removing or cleaning the motorized brush, ensure that the battery is removed.
Battery safety:
This appliance includes Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery.
• Do not burn or incinerate the appliance. This may cause the battery to explode.
• Leaks from the battery cells can occur under extreme conditions.
• Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns. Do not touch this liquid. If
the liquid gets on the skin, wash immediately with water for 10 minutes and seek
medical attention.
• If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10
minutes and urgently seek medical attention.
• Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of immediately in accordance with local
regulations.
• Shorting the battery terminals may cause burns or the battery to go on fire.
• When the battery pack is not in use, please keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects that could make a connection from one
terminal to another.
• If disposing of the appliance, please remove the battery and dispose of safely in
accordance with local regulations. See direction from your local authority if necessary.
Precautions
• Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments as described in this manual; misuse
or use of any accessory or attachment other than those recommended may present a
risk of personal injury or invalidate your warranty.
• Take extra care when cleaning stairs.
• Take care when cleaning over-head or in hard to reach places.
Service:
CAUTION : To reduce the risk of injury from moving parts, remove the battery before
servicing.

Plug the charging cable into an
electrical outlet.
Plug the other end into the charging
cradle as shown.
Important - The first charge should
be for a full 5 hours.
Simply slot the vacuum into the cradle
and charging automatically starts.
• Before using the appliance and after any impact please check for signs of wear or
damage.
• Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective.
• Repairs should be carried out by a service agent or a suitably qualified person in
accordance with relevant safety regulations. Repairs by unqualified persons could be
dangerous.
• Never modify the appliance in any way as this may increase the risk of personal injury or
fire.
• Only use replacement parts or accessories provided or recommended by Sweepovac.
• Do not use water, solvents, or polishes to clean the outside of the appliance. Simply wipe
clean with a dry cloth.
• Never immerse the unit or any of its parts in water.
• Never use the appliance without the filter fitted. This can damage the machine and will
invalidate any remaining warranty.
• Never place any parts of the vacuum including the dust cup or filters in dishwashers or
washing machines.
• For household use only.
Intended use:
• This appliance has been designed for domestic vacuum cleaning of dry floors only.
• Do not pick up liquids or use on wet or damp surfaces.
• Do not pick up flammable materials such as gasoline, lighter fuel etc into the
Sweepovac
• Do not pick up burning or smoking materials, fire ash or cigarette butts.
• Do not use on concrete, paving stones or other rough surfaces.
• The spinning brush bar may damage certain floor surfaces. Check the flooring
manufacturer’s recommended cleaning instructions before vacuuming wood flooring,
rugs or carpets,
• The spinning brush bar may damage delicate fabrics or upholstery. Care should be
taken on loose-weave fabrics or where there are loose threads. If in doubt please test
on an inconspicuous area first
• The Sweepovac StickVac 18K has a powerful constantly rotating brush bar. Never leave
the power floor head in one spot for an extended period of time as this may damage the
area being cleaned.

Slide the release catch upwards and
gently pull the battery out of its slot.
To replace the battery. Slide the battery
into place with the release latch on the
outside and the battery contact points
facing upwards until you hear a click.
Noggin
Press the button and gently slide the
tool away from the pipe.
When attaching a tool ensure that the
noggin is in line with the switch.
Slide together and press until the parts
click together.
How to change tools
Before changing tools, please remove the battery as a safety precaution.

Remove from the cradle.
Press the ON button.
How to operate
Regular operation
Press the power up or down button to
increase or decrease power.
The LED lights below the switch
indicate the charge remaining in the
battery.
4 LED lights = 100% charged
1 LED light = 25% charged
Note : The StickVac 18K automatically boosts power when it senses more dirt or debris.

Hold the vacuum cleaner by the
handle and manoeuvre the head
over the area to be cleaned.
If the brush stops spinning, the 4
LEDs will turn off. To start the brush
spinning again, switch the vacuum off
and then on again.
Slide down the dust container
release tab.
Remove the dust container from the
vacuum.

Emptying the dust container
Note - For safety please remove the battery before emptying the dust container.

Hold over the waste bin and click
the release latch to remove the
waste.
The entire cup can be removed by
simply twisting and sliding away
from the head piece.
Cleaning the filters
Note - For safety please remove the battery before cleaning the filter.
To access the stainless steel filter
within the dust container, unscrew
the transparent cup from the head
of the dust container.
Gently remove dirt from the stainless
steel filter with a dry cloth or soft
brush.

When re-assembling the dust container. Ensure that the lock mark is lined up with
release clip 1 and release clip 2, as shown above. Slide the head of the container
and the transparent cup together. Twist to lock.

Slide out the HEPA filter which
also contains a sponge, this
sponge acts as a pre-filter. Note
that the sponge filter is below
the HEPA filter when re-
inserting.
To clean, remove the sponge and
gently tap both the sponge and the
frame of the filter agains the edge
of the waste bin to knock out loose
dirt.
Ensure the filter is re-inserted correctly
with the sponge facing down.

Slide the brush release latch backwards.
Hinge up and remove the rotating brush.
Carefully use a scissors to cut off knotted
fibres and dirt from the brush.
Re-insert the rotating brush and click the
release latch to the locked position.
If the filter or sponge are very dirty, they may be washed by rinsing gently with fresh
warm water. Leave to dry thoroughly before re-inserting into the vacuum.
Warning
Never reinsert filters that are still wet !
Never operate the vacuum without all the filters in place !
Ensure the sponge filter is in place and inserted facing down.
Cleaning the rotating brush
Note - For safety please remove the battery before cleaning the rotating brush.

Connect the charge cable from the
electrical outlet to the cradle charger.
Insert the vacuum in the cradle -
charging begins automatically. The
lights under the switch flash from right to
left while the vacuum is charging.
The LED lights blow the switch indicate
the charge remaining in the battery.
4 LED lights = 100% charged
3 LED lights = 75% charged
2 LED lights = 50% charged
1 LED light = 25% charged
When all 4 blue lights are lit the unit is
fully charged.
Note
A second battery (optional extra
so not included) can be charged
at the same time as the vacuum by
slotting into the special charging
cradle.

To check for blockages, dismantle
the vacuum as shown and check
that there is no build up of debris at
any point.
Look through the tube and the foot
piece to check that they are clear of
debris.

Troubleshooting
Rotating brush is not
turning.
Turn off and turn on again.
Remove the battery, remove the brush, clean off any hair
and debris, inspect and reinsert the brush and battery.
Vacuum is not cleaning
properly.
Check that the rotating brush is spinning.
Check that the rotating brush is inserted properly.
Check for blockages.
Check the stainless steel filter in the dust container.
Check the sponge filter and HEPA filter at the head of the
dust container.
Vacuum won’t start.
Check the the battery is charged.
Check that the battery is inserted correctly.
Dust canister won’t clip in.

Warranty
Thank you for purchasing the Sweepovac StickVac 18K vacuum. This
Sweepovac unit and associated products are designed and manufactured to a
high standard and with normal use should last many years. The warranty period
on your Sweepovac StickVac 18K vacuum is 2 years from the date of purchase.
The Lithium Ion battery carries a separate 2 year warranty with special limitations
which are normal for lithium Ion batteries. The Sweepovac warranty may be
invalid in the following circumstances :
The StickVac 18K Vacuum Warranty
• Use of the vacuum cleaner for any other purpose other than that described in
this manual.
• Use of the vacuum for anything other than normal domestic use.
• Damage or burnout of the product motor resulting from failure to clear a
blockage occurring during the normal course of use.
• Servicing or replacement of parts not supplied or approved by Sweepovac.
• Accidental damage caused by negligence.
• Damage caused by impacts or falls, rough handling, misuse or neglect.
• Exposure to water or other prohibited materials as described in this manual.
• Operating with any of the filters missing, inserted incorrectly or replacing filters
while still wet.
• Unauthorized modification or alteration.
The Battery Warranty
• The re-chargeable battery carries a 2 year warranty.
• The battery warranty only applies to defects arising under normal usage.
• All other damages are expressly excluded.
• Please note that over time all Lithium- Ion batteries loose their ability to hold a
full charge. Please note that this is not a fault and is part of the normal
functionality/wear and tear of a Lithium Ion battery.
Please ensure that any malfunction is checked against the trouble shooting
section in this manual before packing and dispatching to Sweepovac. Please
contact a registered electrical contractor to replace any damaged cables
immediately.
To gain warranty assistance you will need to provide us with a copy of your proof
of purchase (Invoice, sales receipt etc).
The Sweepovac warranty does not include normal wear and tear including parts
that might wear out over time (e.g. fuse, belt, brush bar, batteries, filters etc.)
Warranty assistance includes: Replacement of unit if deemed faulty. Please note
that the customer is responsible for the packaging and mailing of the unit
back to Sweepovac or its agents. Sweepovac will be responsible for the return
of the replacement unit back to the customer.
