Thank you for buying this Sweex 4.2 megapixel digital camera. We advise you to read this manual carefully first to guarantee correct operation
of the Sweex 4.2 megapixel digital camera. If you should nevertheless experience problems in the installation or operation of the camera, you

Before starting installation, make sure that the PC operating system is up-to-date. This is simple to check in Internet Explorer by selecting
Windows Update in the Tools menu. This digital camera has full Windows 98SE, 2000 and XP support.
The digital camera takes excellent 4.2 megapixel photos with 4x digital zoom. The number of pixels can be interpolated to 6.0 megapixels.
The camera works with a 1/25” CCD sensor and has a 1.6” LCD screen.
The camera is simple to operate and the user options can be read on-screen in the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish and
Italian. Photos you have taken can be stored on the 16 MB RAM. The memory can be expanded to 256 MB with a Secure Digital Card. The
photos you have taken can be edited on your computer with the supplied software.
In addition to taking photos, the digital camera can also be used as an SD card reader and a gaming device. The camera contains the following
games: Snake, Tetris, Soko and Jigsaw Puzzle.

Getting started
Safety instructions
•Do not try to open the camera by yourself. This may cause damage or electrical shock.
•Do not flash in a close distance (less than 1 meter) of human eyes
•Keep the camera away from the reach of children or animals to prevent them from swallowing the batteries or small accessories
•Avoid using the camera, if any form of liquid enters the camera. If it happens, switch off the camera and contact the company where you
bought this camera for help.
•Do not operate this camera with wet hands this may cause electrical shock.
•Do not place or store the camera in a high temperature environment which may cause damage to the camera.
•Do not mix different types of batteries of new and old batteries.
•Take out the batteries when the camera will not be used for a long time. This to avoid electrical leakage which may damage the camera
•Unplug the camera from the adapter (if used) for a long period, to avoid damage to the camera.
•It’s normal that the temperature rises after the camera is used for a long period.

Inserting the batteries
•Switch the camera on.
•Slide open the cover of the battery compartment.
•Insert 2 AA batteries in the camera following the indications for the + and – terminals.
•Close the battery compartment cover.
Inserting and removing an SD card
•Switch the camera off.
•Slide open the cover of the battery compartment.
•Insert the SD card (max. 256 MB) in the slot until it clicks. Press the card again to remove it.
•Close the battery compartment cover.
Taking photographs (basic principles)
1. Switch the camera on (the green LED on the back will flash when the on/off button is pressed).
2. Select the desired option in “Mode Dial”. (Still Image, Movie clip, Night Scene, Photo Frame)
3. Set the focus button to the correct option to set the desired focal length.
•Macro: 0.2m
•Normal: 1.0m - infinity
4 . Press the shutter release button down fully to take a photo.
5. The LED begins to flash as soon as the shutter release button is released.
