PGM EVK Quick Start Guide

This Quick Start Guide is designed to help you get your PGM Evaluation Kit (EVK) up and running as quickly as
possible in a basic operating configuration. For full instructions on using the PGM EVK, the PGM EVK User
Manual can be downloaded from the PGM EVK support page.
Step 1 – Setup The Kit
1. Connect the provided GNSS antenna (Item 1) to the center SMA connector of the PGM Evaluation
Platform (EVP) (Item 3) and place the antenna in a position with a clear view of the sky.
2. Connect the two Wi-Fi antennas (Item 2) to the outer SMA connectors on the PGM EVP.
3. Connect the power adapter (Item 4) to the PGM EVP and apply power.
After power is applied, you should see a white indicator light next to the power button.

Step 2 – Connect Using Wi-Fi
1. Ensure that the system has been powered on for at least 3 minutes.
Within approximately 3 minutes from power up, the PGM EVP creates a Wi-Fi network access point
named SwiftNav-PEP-xxxx, where the last 4 digits of the network name are the last 4 digits of
the serial number of the platform.
2. Open the Wi-Fi network selection window on your computer.
3. Select the Wi-Fi network called SwiftNav-PEP-xxxx
4. When prompted, enter the Wi-Fi network password. By default, this is swiftnav.
You are now connected directly to the PGM EVP via Wi-Fi.
Step 3 – View Operation With Swift Console
1. Download and install Swift Console from swiftnav.com/latest/swift-console.
You may have to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network for Internet connection.
2. Launch Swift Console.

The Swift Console interface selection dialog appears.
3. Select the TCP/IP option and enter 10.42.0.1 for the IP address, 55555 for the IP Port, and click
OK.

The Swift Console Tracking window opens and shows the satellite signals being received.
