7. Troubleshooting
Following are a few common problems that may occur during operation. Here
are some suggestions for easy troubleshooting:
A. The xture does not work, no light
1. Check the connection of power and mains fuse.
2. Measure the mains voltage on the main connector.
B. Not responding to DMX controller
1. DMX LED should be on. If not, check DMX connectors and cables to verify they are
linked properly.
2. IftheDMXLEDisonandthechanneldoesnotrespond,checktheaddresssettings
and DMX polarity.
3. IfyouhaveintermittentDMXsignalproblems,checkthecableandxture
connectors for proper function.
4. Try to use another DMX controller for comparison.
5. Check if the DMX cables are run near or alongside high voltage cables that
may cause interference to the DMX interface circuit.
C. Some xtures don’t respond to the controller
1. You may have a break in the DMX cabling. Check the LED for the response
of the master/ slave mode signal.
2. WrongDMXaddressinthexture.Settheproperaddress.
D. No response to sound
1. MakesurethexturedoesnotreceiveDMXsignal.
2. Check microphone to see if it is good by tapping the microphone.
8. Fixture Cleaning
Clean with soft cloth using a very mild household detergent. Always dry the
parts carefully.

warranted free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of One Year from the date of purchase.
Warranty registration is not required, but purchasers are asked to retain their receipt as proof of purchase.
Warranty does not apply to misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, improper use, etc. For complete customer
satisfaction, Talent resellers are asked to act as agents for the purpose of handling warranty claims.
Please return your Talent product to your place of purchase prepaid. Many Talent resellers require a return
authorization (also known as an RA or RMA). Please contact your Talent reseller for more details.

center. Always use the same type spare parts.
• Do not connect the device to any dimmer pack.
• Do not touch any wire during operation, as there might be a hazard of electric shock.
•Topreventorreducetheriskofelectricalshockorre,donotexposethextureto
rain or moisture.
• The housing must be replaced if it is visibly damaged.
•DonotlookdirectlyattheLEDlightbeamwhilethextureison.
•
Donotconnectinseriesmorethan30units.Useanothercircuittosupplyadditionalxtures.

Therearetwowaystocontrolthextureremotely:
A. Universal DMX controller

ThexturecanbeoperatedremotelybyauniversalDMXcontroller.Programtwoor
morescenesintoachase,andthenlinkthexturestotheuniversalDMXcontroller.
B. Master/Slave operation
Thexturewillallowyoutolink16xturestogetherandoperatewithoutacontroller.
InMaster/Slavemode,therstxturewillcontroltheotherstogiveanautomatic,
soundactivated,synchronizedlightshow.Therstxture’sDMXinputcablewill
have nothing connected to it, and the other xtures will be set in slave mode
automatically.TheirDMXinputcablesconnecttothepreviousxture’sDMXoutput
cable(daisychain).AnyxturecanactasaMasterorasaSlave.
3. Installation
Theunitshouldbemountedvia theholesonitsbracket, andmustbexed
rmlytoavoidvibrationandslippageduringoperation.Alwaysensurethatthe
structuretowhichyouareattachingthelightingxtureissecureandableto
support10timestheunit’sweight.Wheninstallingthexture,useasafetycable
that can hold 12 times the weight of the unit.
6. DMX512 Conguration

1. Ifyourcontrollerhasa5-pinDMXoutput,youneedtousea5-pinto3-pin
adapter cable.
2. Linkthexturestogetherina“daisychain”byconnectingXLRcablesfrom
theoutputofthexturetotheinputofthenextxture.Thecablecannotbe
branchedorsplittoa“Y”cable.Inadequateordamagedcables,soldered
joints, or corroded connectors can easily distort the signal and shut down
the system
3. TheDMXoutputandinputconnectorsarepass-throughtomaintaintheDMXcircuit
whenoneoftheunits’powerisdisconnected.
4. Atthelastxture,theDMXcableshouldbeterminatedtoreducesignal
errors.Soldera120ohm1/4WresistorbetweenPin2(DMX-)andPin3
(DMX+)intoa3-pinXLRplugandconnectittothelastxture’sDMXoutput.
5. Eachlightingxturemusthaveitsaddresssettoreceivedatasentbythecontroller.
Theaddressnumberisbetween0-511(usually0&1areequalto1).
