ITouchpad
The touchpad functions as a conventional mouse.
One piece multi-touch ClickPad: To move the pointer
on the screen, slide your fingertip over the pad in the
direction in which you want the pointer to move.
Left-click area: Clicking in this area corresponds to the
functions of clicking the left button on a conventional
mouse.

Right-click area: Clicking in this area corresponds to the
functions of clicking the right button on a conventional
mouse.
JPower Button
If the your laptop is powered off or in sleep mode, press
once to power on. If the laptop is powered on, press
once to enter sleep mode. The power indicator light will
turn off once the laptop has powered off, or will blink if
the laptop is in sleep mode.

2 Getting started
2.1 Power your laptop with power
adapter
Insert one end of the charging cable into the Power
Connector Type-C port, and the other end of the
charging cable into power adapter, then plug Power
adapter into a power outlet.
2.2 Power on your laptop
Press the Power button to start your laptop until the
Power indicator is on. Don’t press the Power button
after the Power indicator is on or you might cause the
laptop to turn off.
2.3 Configuring the operating system
• Select the region according to your actual situations.
Click the "Yes" button in the lower right corner to go
to the next step.
• Add a layout for your keyboard, or skip this part to
go to the next step.
• Select a WiFi network or insert a SIM card to
continue setting your device.
• Read the license Agreement, and click Accept.

• Enter your account name and password and then
click Sign in, Create your account if have no Microsoft
account.
• Set a PIN and confirm it. When your account cannot
be identified by the laptop, try using the PIN to
unlock your device. Please keep your PIN safe.
• Select the way to restore your settings or set up your
laptop as a new device and click Next.
• Choose privacy settings for your device, click Accept
to save them.
• Customize your experience or click Skip to complete
the Configuration.

3 Power off your laptop
To prevent hardware/software system from damage,
do not arbitrarily use the power button to shut down
the laptop Instead, shut down the laptop as follows.
1. Click Start →Power →Shutdown.
2. Wait for the laptop to shut down and then close the
display panel.
Note:After you turn off the system, please wait at least
20 seconds before turning the laptop back on to avoid
hardware faults.
3.1 Putting your laptop to sleep or wake
it up
If you are going to be away from your computer for a
short period of time, put it into sleep mode so that you
can wake it up quickly when you return and want to
continue using it.
To put your laptop to sleep, do one of the following:
• Close the display panel.
• Choose Start > Sleep from the menu bar.
• Press the power button.

Choose Start > System >Power & battery, click
Screen and sleep and set a sleep timer.
To wake up your laptop, do one of the following:
• If the display panel is closed, simply open it to wake
up your laptop.
• If the display is already open, press the power button
or any key on the keyboard.
When your laptop wakes from sleep, your applications,
documents, and computer settings are exactly the same
as when you left them.

4 Home screen
You can customize your desktop. Choose Start >
Settings > System from the menu bar.
Windows Search
Type what you are looking for in the search bar to get
search results from your laptop or the web.
Multiple-window view
Touch to display all open windows and you can toggle
between them.
File folders

Touch to quick acess files and folder stored on your
laptop.
Build-in Browser
Touch to surf on the internet.
Start
Touch to start working with your laptop, your laptop
comes with software applications for sending email,
surfing the Internet, and chatting online. It also includes
the Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel,
Powerpoint to get your work done easily. You can also
get power button here to turn on/off laptop.
Microsoft Store
As the official app store for Microsoft's operating
system, it allows users to browse and download
applications and games. Applications are either free or
paid.
Search for the app you need, download it and then
follow the instruction to install the app. You can also
uninstall, update an app, and manage your downloads.

4.1 Using the Touchpad
Use the touchpad to move the pointer and to perform
a variety of Multi-Touch gestures.
Frequently used gestures on touchpad:
• Click anywhere on the touchpad with one finger to
perform an action, such as starting an app, opening
a link, or performing a command. Similar to left-
clicking with a mouse.
• Two-finger scrolling lets you drag to scroll quickly up,
down, or sideways in the active window.

The following touchpad gestures work in certain
applications. When you perform these gestures, slide
your fingers lightly on the surface of the touchpad.
• Two-finger pinching lets you zoom in or out on PDFs,
images, photos, and more.
• Move items to other location. select an app with one
finger, press and hold down the Left-click area with
the other finger, and then drag the app to the desired
location.

5 Settings ....................................
5.1 Connect to Wi-Fi Networks
You can connect to the internet when your laptop is
within range of a wireless network.
To turn Wi-Fi on and connect to a wireless network
• Touch Start > Settings > Network & internet >
Wi-Fi.
• Turn on .
• Once Wi-Fi is turned on, detected Wi-Fi networks
are listed.
• Touch Show available networks and select a Wi-Fi
network to connect to it. If the network you selected
is secured, you are required to enter a password or
other credentials (you should contact the network
operator for details). When finished, touch Connect.
To add a Wi-Fi network
When Wi-Fi is on, you can add new Wi-Fi networks
according to your preference.
• Touch Start > Settings > Wi-Fi.
• Touch Manage known networks > Add network.

• Enter the name of the network and any required
network information.
• Touch Save.
To forget a Wi-Fi network
The following steps prevent automatic connections to
networks which you no longer wish to use.
• Turn on Wi-Fi, if it’s not already on.
• On the Wi-Fi screen, touch Manage known networks.
• Touch Forget next to the network you want to
disconnect.
5.2 Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication
technology that you can use to exchange data, or
connect to other Bluetooth devices for various uses.
To turn on Bluetooth
• Choose Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices .
• Turn on Bluetooth .
Your device name and other available devices will
appear on screen.

To pair/connect your laptop with a Bluetooth device
To exchange data with another device, you need to turn
Bluetooth on and pair your laptop with the Bluetooth
device with which you want to exchange data.
• Choose Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
• Choose Add device > Bluetooth.
• Click a Bluetooth device you want to pair your laptop
with in the list.
• In the dialog that pops up, Click Connect to confirm.
• If the pairing is successful, your laptop will be
connected to the device.
To unpair from a Bluetooth device
• Click up left to the device you want to unpair from.
• Choose Remove device and Yes to confirm.

6 Windows Upgrade ............
You can connect to the Internet and download and
install the latest free software versions, drivers, and
other enhancements.
When you’re connected to the Internet, Software
Update checks to see if any updates are available.
Choose Start > Settings > Windows Update. Click
download and install to update.
