Mounting instructions for ThermalCapture
Thank you for buying our product. The following instructions will guide you through the
process of ounting Ther alCapture to a TAU core. Please read these instructions
carefully before you begin.
Step 1: Remove the VPC Module
If your TAU Core has a VPC- odule, please re ove it by loosening the arked screws.
The VPC- odule and the two screws are not needed in the following process and can be
put away.
Step 2: Remove the back cover
Re ove the back cover by loosening the arked screws.
The back cover and the four screws are not needed in the following process and can be
put away.
Caution: This will also release the ain-board of the Tau core. It will be kept in place only
by its internal wiring. Do not apply strong forces to the ain-board at this and the following
step. The internal wiring pulls the ain-board down at the upper side of the TAU core, so
that the ain-board oves a little bit up at the other side when the screws are released.

At the end of this step your TAU core should look like this:

Step : Apply the new back cover
For this step you need the TC Alu inu ground plate and 4x M1.6x6 countersunk
screws fro the screw set.
Stick the four screws through the arked holes and apply the back cover to the Tau Core
carefully.
Tighten the screws carefully and ake sure that the back plate does not cant.
If it cants, loose the screws a little and try again. Do not apply strong forces to screws.

After this step your TAU core should look like this:
Step 4: Mount the ThermalCapture board
For this step you need the Ther alCapture board, 3x M1.6x6 cylinder screws, two
insulating discs and the s all distance sleeve fro the screw set.

Apply the the insulating discs to two of the screws and stick the through the red arked
positions. Stick the screw without insulating disc through the green arked position.
Apply the distance sleeve to the screw at the green arked position. The distance sleeve
ust be added between the board and the ground plate.
Connect the Ther alCapture board to the TAU core carefully. Do not apply strong forces.
Be careful especially with the both screws near the connector. Tighten the screws not
stronger than necessary to keep the board safely connected and in position. Tightening
these screws too strong ay da age the TAU core or Ther alCapture.
After this step the result should look like this:

Step 5: Apply the back cover
For this step you need the TC CRFP cover and 4x M1.6x3 screws fro the screw set.
Connect the internal trigger connector to the board as shown in the following photo:

Mount the back cover and attach it with the four M1.6x3 screws.

Congratulations! You have successfully ounted Ther alCapture to your Tau core.
