Introduction to V-Drive
V-Drive is a portable storage product that can compress, store and backup a variety of data.
Coding function is incorporated in the drive, which enables users to preserve his own
information. Extensibility with smart card used in digital camera and camcorder is the
greatest excellence of V-Drive. (Our products are engineered to meet the highest standards

How to Install
1. Check if main parts are included in the package (long & short cable, V-drive).
2. Connect the given cable to USB port of your Desktop or Notebook PC.
3. Connect the V-Drive.
4. Message of ‘Looking for new hardware..’shows on the screen.
5. Insert installation diskette into floppy disc drive.
6. Choose ‘Select from device list’and click ‘Next’button.
7. Choose ‘Floppy Disc Drive’and click ‘Next’button.
8. Wait a few seconds to complete the first installation,
and to see the same message of no. 6
9. Repeat the procedures of no. 6 and no. 7.
10. After a couple of seconds, message of ‘driver sucessfully installed’will come out.

Guarantee and Service
This product is guaranteed by Telegate for one year commencing on the date of purchase.
Within the guarantee period we will eliminate, free of charge, any defects due to faulty
workmanship or materials by repairing or exchanging parts. Please note that data in a
drive could not be preserved in case that you request on Customer Service Center.
Service under guarantee is provided only upon presentation of reasonable evidence that
the date of the claim is within the guarantee period.
The guarantee is void if the defect arises from accidental damage, misuse or neglect by
users, and natural disasters. Service fee will be charged even within the period of
guarantee against the following defects due to;
1. Physical impacts such as drop of the product,
or insert of alien substance into the drive
2. Alterations or repair carried out by unauthorized persons
3. Fire or natural disasters
4. Malfunction of USB power point
5. Normal and natural wear of parts
6. Improper use or neglect by users
(This guarantee extends to every country where this appliance
is supplied by Telegate or its appointed distributor and where
no import restrictions or other legal regulations hinder or
prevent service being given under guarantee.)

•Customers without installation diskette
-Download installation program(Driver) from Homepage.
Select one from the followings;
èusers for Windows 98 / 98SE / ME
èusers for Window 2000 (in expected April)
èusers for Mac (in expected April)
•What are compatible systems with V-Drive?
-You can connect a V-Drive with IBM PC and/or notebook PC with more than Pentium 100MHz
and external USB port, run by operating system such as Windows 98, Windows 98SE,Windows ME.
(Newer various of V-Drives compatible with Windows 2000 and MAC will be released in the coming April.)
•What should users be cautious about, in order to properly use V-Drive?
-Users should be cautious about electrical shock, high humidity, physical impact which
might cause product failure.
•What should I do if my PC cannot recognize a V-Drive?
-click the buttons as follows;‘Start’→‘Set-up’→‘Control Panel’→‘System’
And check if there is a (USB) controller in the‘Device Manager.’
èWith USB controller
; Check first if V-Drive is recognized or not. If it is recognized as‘Unknown Device’, remove it
and re-setup the drive. If it is not recognized at all, re-setup the drive from the‘New Hardware Setup’window.
èWithout USB controller
; Enable USB controller in CMOS setup (Bios setting) of your PC.
(CMOS Setup will come out when pressing‘Del’or‘F2’right after powering on your PC.)
