LIMITATIONS OF USE
WARNINGS:
• Upon delivery and before each use, inspect the battery pack to check for any
eventual damage. DO NOT drain the battery if it seems damaged. DO NOT use
a battery that emits odors, generates heat, or shows discoloration or leakage.

• DO NOT heat the battery over 80 °C (176 °F).
• Exposure to high temperatures can reduce battery capacity and performance.
• DO NOT expose the battery to sources of heat or sunlight.
• DO NOT use this equipment in the presence of mixtures containing anesthetic
• Unless otherwise indicated, DO NOT sterilize or immerse the battery pack in
water, solvents, lubricants or other cleansing chemicals, or even expose them to
those substances. Keep the battery clean and dry.
• DO NOT short-circuit, crush, open, tear, incinerate, or disassemble the bat-
tery pack. Never store a bulk of batteries in a box or drawer where they could
short-circuit or be short-circuited by metallic objects. Damage increases the
instructions, contact your local distributor.
• In case of leakage of liquids from the battery, avoid skin contact. In case of con-
ingestion of a cell or whole battery pack, consult your doctor immediately. Keep
the battery pack out of reach of children.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BATTERY HANDLING
• DO NOT remove the battery from its original packaging until it is used.
• Upon delivery, your battery is in a shipping mode and will not deliver power.
• After long storage periods, a full charging/discharging cycle might be necessary
to regain full battery capacity.
• Dispose the battery pack as described in the Disposal / Recycling section of
this manual.
• Rechargeable batteries achieve their optimum performance at room tempera-
ture, at 20 °C ± 5 °C (68 °F ± 10 °F).
• Store the original product documentation for future reference.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
This battery pack is designed for use with the OXYGEN and ViVi®System. These
Systems are intended to be worn by surgical personnel to provide a barrier be-
tween the operating environment and the surgical personnel in order to help pro-
microorganisms.

CLEANING
WARNINGS:

TO CLEAN THE BATTERY PACK
1. Disconnect the battery pack from the helmet and battery charger.
2. Wipe the battery pack with a soft cloth dampened with a non-abrasive hospital
disinfectant.
3. Dry the equipment with a lint-free towel or medical-grade compressed air.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Recommended storage and transport conditions: - 20 °C to +35 °C (-4 °F to +95 °F), up
to 75 % relative humidity.
CAUTIONS:
• To optimize battery life, battery packs are recommended to be stored in low hu-
midity environments, free of corrosive gases, at a temperature of < 21 °C (< 70 °F).
Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 45 °C (113 °F) may compromise bat-
tery life and performance.
• Carry or store the battery pack in low dust environments.
• DO NOT expose the battery pack to extreme temperature changes.
DISPOSAL/ RECYCLING
WARNINGS:
• ALWAYS follow the current local recommendations and/or regulations
governing environ-mental protection and risks associated with recycling
or disposing of the equipment at the end of its useful life.
• Per the European Union (EU) Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment (WEEE)
Directive 2002/96/EC, product must be collected separately.

ZUR REINIGUNG DER BATTERIE
1. Trennen Sie die Batterie von Helm und Ladegerät.
2. Wischen Sie die Batterie mit einem weichen Tuch ab, das mit einem nicht
scheuernden Krankenhausdesinfektionsmittel angefeuchtet wurde.
3. Trocknen Sie das Gerät mit einem fusselfreien Tuch oder mit medizinischer
Druckluft.
