shock
•Findtheroomemergencypower-off(EPO)switch,disconnectingswitch,orelectricaloutletIfanelectrical
accidentoccurs,youcanthenoperatetheswitchorunplugthepowercordquickly
•Donotworkaloneunderhazardousconditionsornearequipmentthathashazardousvoltages
•Disconnectallpowerbefore:
–Performingamechanicalinspection
–Workingnearpowersupplies
–Removingorinstallingmainunits
•Beforeyoustarttoworkonthemachine,unplugthepowercordIfyoucannotunplugit,askthecustomer
topoweroffthewallboxthatsuppliespowertothemachine,andtolockthewallboxintheoffposition
•Ifyouneedtoworkonamachinethathasexposedelectricalcircuits,observethefollowingprecautions:
–Ensurethatanotherperson,familiarwiththepower-offcontrols,isnearyouThatpersonmustbe
theretoswitchoffthepower,ifnecessary
–Useonlyonehandwhenworkingwithpowered-onelectricalequipment;keeptheotherhandinyour
pocketorbehindyourback

nongroundedpowerextensioncables,powersurges,andmissingsafetygrounds
•DonottouchliveelectricalcircuitswiththereflectivesurfaceofaplasticdentalmirrorThesurfaceis
conductive;suchtouchingcancausepersonalinjuryandmachinedamage
