IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
For your own safety you should read this section in full rst!
Intended use
This CD-/MP3 player is intended exclusively for playback of audio CDs, MP3 CDs, CD-R or CD-
RW according to this manual. By using it in any other way you face the risk of electric shock. No
warranty claims will be granted for damage resulting from improper use!
Risk of electrical shock!
Connect the device only to a properly wired and earthed electrical wall socket providing a mains•
voltage of 230 V~/ 50 Hz.
NEVER operate the device if the power plug or power the cord is damaged.•
NEVER submerse the device in water. Wipe it only with a slightly damp cloth.•
NEVER expose the device to rain or moisture and never use it in a damp or wet environment.•
Do not subject the device to high temperatures, direct sunlight, severe vibrations, shocks or•
tremors, or excessive dust.
Ensure that the power cord does not become wet during operation.•
You must NEVER open the housing of the device or try to repair it. There are no user serviceable•
parts inside. Warranty will become void if you open the housing.
Do not place objects containing uids, e.g. ower vases or beer bottles, on or near the device.•
Notice regarding power disconnection:•
To switch the device off and to disconnect it from the power source the power plug must be
removed from the power socket. For this reason the device should be placed in a position where a
constant unobstructed access to the power socket is assured, thus in an emergency situation you
are able to immediately pull out the power plug. To eliminate the risk of re you must completely
disconnect the power plug from the power socket after the device has been used.
Always grasp the power cord by the plug. Do not pull on the cord itself and never touch the•
power cord with wet hands as this could result in a short circuit or an electrical shock. Do not
place the device, speaker cabinets or anything else on the power cord and make sure that it does
not become clamped. Place the power cord in a position where it can not be trod on. A damaged
power cord can cause a re or an electrical shock. Check the power cord from time to time.
Should it become damaged contact our customer service centre to have it replaced.

NEVER leave the device unattended while it is switched on.•
Do not place any open sources of re, like candles, on the device.•
Do not operate or store the device in hot locations or near heat sources like stoves, radiators or•
the like.
When a thunderstorm with the risk of lightening threatens please disconnect the device from the•
mains power.
Risk of personal injury!
Keep the power cord and device away from children. Children frequently underestimate the•
dangers of electrical equipment.
Ensure a safe location for the device• . The safest place to operate the device is in a 19“ rack.
Do not operate the device if it has sustained a fall or is damaged. Arrange for the device to be•
checked and/or repaired by qualied technicians.
Important!• Listening to music with headphones for long periods and at high volume levels
can lead to hearing damage!
Keep batteries well away from children. Children can put batteries into their mouths and swallow•
them. Should a battery be swallowed, seek medical assistance IMMEDIATELY.

Risk of explosion!
Do not throw batteries into a re, do not recharge the batteries. •
Never open batteries, never solder or weld batteries. The risk of explosions and injuries exists!•
Regularly check the condition of the batteries. Leaking batteries can cause damage to the remote•
control.
If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period, remove the batteries.•
In the event of the batteries leaking acids, wear protective gloves and clean the battery•
compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.
Remote control (RC)
Open the battery compartment cover on the rear side of the RC handset and insert 2 x 1,5 batteries
(AAA size) according to the polarity layout engraved. Then close the compartment. Point the RC
towards the unit when operating these functions:
1. <- press once to stop playback, press4;
to resume playback at the same location,
press twice to stop playback completely,
press4; to resume playback at the
beginning of the disc.

4. PITCH+ - to increase speed and pitch of playback
5. SGL/CTN - to toggle between single track playback
and continuous playback of the disc
6. :- skips to the next track
7. 8- fast forward in steps of 5 seconds

9. RELOOP - skips playback to the beginning of
a loop
10. LOOP OUT - press once to set the end of a loop,
press twice to end loop playback
11. LOOP IN - to set the beginning of a loop
12. 7- fast backward in steps of 5 seconds
13. TIME - toggles the display mode for playing time
14. CUE - skips playback to the beginning of the
current track
15. PITCH— - to reduce speed and pitch of playback
16. PITCH - to activate or deactivate the pitch
function
17. - to eject the disc from the slot

The operating elements
. . . on the front panel
1. POWER
Press the POWER button, to switch the device on. Press this button again, to switch it off. The
blue pilot lamp is lit when the unit is activated.
2. TIME
Use this button the choose the desired display mode for playing time indication: Elapsed track
time, remaining track time or remaining total playing time.
3. REPEAT
Use this button to activate the repeat function, repeat one track (1) or all tracks (A).
4. SGL
Press this button to toggle between the playback modes „SINGLE“ and „CONTINUOUS“. In
SINGLE mode the player stops after each track. The SGL button is lit then. In CONTINUOUS
mode the player stops after all tracks have been played, the button is unlighted.
5. PROG.
When playback is paused, you can setup a program of up to 20 tracks for playback in CD
mode.
- Press the 4; button rst to pause playback (4; button ashes)
- Then press the PROG. button to call up the program mode.
- Use the buttons to select the rst track for the program.
- Conrm your selection by pressing the PROG. button.
- Continue accordingly for all further tracks to be programmed.
- Press the 4; button to nalize the programming.
- Press the 4; button again to start the playback of the stored program.
- At the end of the program playback stops.
- To delete the program, keep the PROG. button pushed for 3 seconds, switch off the unit or
eject the disc.
Tip: Don‘t press the <button on the RC, before going to setup a program.
6. REV(RC:7)
Press this button once during playback, to reverse playback for about 5 seconds. If you keep
this button pushed, the device reverses the point of playback continuously. This makes it
easier to locate certain passages of the program.
Keep this button pushed in pause mode, to reverse the point of playback frame-by-frame.
7. FWD(RC:8)
Press this button once during playback, to advance playback for about 5 seconds. If you keep
this button pushed, the device advances the point of playback continuously.
Keep this button pushed in pause mode, to advance the point of playback frame-by-frame.

8. 9
Press this button once to re-start the currently playing track. Press this button repeatedly to
select previous tracks for playback.
9. +10
Use this button to access higher MP3 track numbers more quickly, as the unit counts +10
tracks each time you press the button. This works only if there are more than 10 suitable les
in the current folder.
10. :
Press this button to skip playback to the next track.
11. CUE
If you press this button during playback, playback will be skipped to the beginning of the
current track. The CUE button is lit then. If you keep the CUE button on the front panel
pressed, playback will be resumed as long as you keep the button pressed (in CD mode only).
12. 4;
Press this button after inserting the disc to start playback. The button is lit during playback. If
you press this button during playback, playback will be paused and the button ashes. Then
press the button again to resume playback.
13. PITCH
Use this control to increase or decrease the playback pitch by ± 16%. This function is only
available when the PITCH button is lit.
14. CUELEVEL
To adjust the level of the headphones output.
15. MASTERLEVEL
To adjust the level of the LINE output.
16. PITCH
If you press this button, the setting of the pitch control becomes available. When the pitch
function is activated, this button is lit.
17. PHONES
Connect your headphones with a 3,5mm jack to this socket. The output level is subject to the
CUE LEVEL volume control.
18. EJECT
Press this button to eject the inserted disc.
Tip: The disc can only be ejected, if you have stopped playback before using the <button of
the RC, or if you have paused it using the 4; button on the front panel.
19. Display
The display shows playback information and ID3 tags in MP3 mode. The progress bar in
the upper left area gives you a clue about the estimated playing time (1 element = track‘s
beginning, 10 elements = end of track).
20. REMOTESENSOR
The remote sensor receives the infrared signals from the RC. Don‘t place any objects in front of
the sensor, don‘t put stickers here, otherwise the device will not react to the RC.
21. Discslot
Carefully insert half of the disc here. Then the CD drive takes over the transport. During the
reading of the disc information the EJECT button is ashing. Afterwards the 4; button is
ashing to indicate the unit is in PAUSE mode.

1. ACIN
Mains connection socket. Use the mains cable provided to connect this socket to a properly
wired and earthed wall outlet (AC230~/50Hz).
2. LINEOUTPUTL/R
Unbalanced RCA output. Level is subject to the MASTER LEVEL control. Use this output to
connect the line input of a mixing console or the like.
3. RECOUTPUTL/R
Unbalanced RCA output, xed volume level.
4. XLRBALANCED
Allows you to connect balanced XLR cables. Both RCA and XLR outputs can be used at the
same time. Level is subject to the MASTER LEVEL control.
