BEFORE FIRST USE
Carefully remove your kettle from the box;
Before using the first time, remove any sticker or packaging material from inside or exterior of the kettle.
Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance
(underneath of the kettle and base) corresponds with the voltage in your home.
Fill to ‘Max’, boil, discard the water and then rinse. Do this three times, to remove any dust, residues etc
from the kettle.

Wipe the external surface with a soft damp cloth.
Periodic descaling will maintain the best performance of the kettle. Descale intervals depend on the
hardness of your local water supply.
POSITIONING
Put the power base on a stable, dry, level surface.
The underside of the base is fitted with a cord storage feature. Unwind the length of cord required to
reach the power outlet.
Ensure the cord does not overhang, and cannot be caught or tripped over.
FILLING
CAUTION: If the kettle has just boiled, it will be full of steam. Keep hands clear, as steam may
escape from the kettle when opening the lid.
Remove the kettle from the power base unit.
Press the lid release button and pull lid back. To close lid simply press the lid.
Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water, but do not fill above the ‘Max’ line. Do not overfill the
kettle over the Max level because the boiling water will be ejected from the spout while operating.
The minimum amount of water should reach the Min marking.
Close the lid and place the kettle back on the power base. Make sure the lid is securely closed
before boiling.
NOTE: The water level should be between the MIN and MAX fill line.
SWITCHING ON
CAUTION: Keep clear, as steam may escape from the spout when boiling.
NOTE: Do not use the housing without base.
Position the kettle on the power base.
Plug the kettle into a power outlet and switch on.
To switch on, lift up the On/Off switch, the kettle will begin to boil. The indicator light will light up.
SWITCHING OFF
When the water boils, the kettle will automatically switch itself off.
You can stop the boiling process at anytime by lifting the On/Off switch to the ‘Off’ position.
Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its base.
To pour water from the kettle, take the kettle from the base.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Using the kettle with insufficient water will shorten the life span of the element.

Should you accidentally switch on an empty kettle; the safety boil-dry cut-out will switch the kettle off. If this
occurs, allow the kettle to cool down completely for at least 5 minutes before refilling it with water. Turn on
by lifting the On/Off switch. After 15 minutes the kettle will switch on automatically and begin to boil the
water.
USEFUL ADVICES
If your kettle switches off before the water boils, you have to descale the volume of water in the kettle.
In case of the operation with insufficient water safety cut-out device will switch off the kettle automatically.
CARE & CLEANING
Always disconnect the kettle from the power outlet and allow the kettle to cool completely before
cleaning.
Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth. You may use a little mild detergent to remove
stubborn marks.
Keep all connectors and sockets dry.
Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid.

Descaling:
Lime scale may be white, coloured, even rusty looking.
