Problem description:
TFC-1000 system’s backup hard-disk drive (HDD) was
connected to its embedded PC by USB to SATA conversion
internally.
This backup HDD might be ejected when user try to eject the
USB storage but select incorrect object accidentally.
The operation system (OS) of the embedded PC is Windows
10, due to the default “Fast Startup” setting of the OS was
enabled, the OS keep the backup HDD storage still in “Ejected”
state even restart PC after shut down, and this situation cause
the “Cannot find the backup HDD” issue of TFC-1000 system
as the error message shows in next page.

Root cause:
With “Fast Startup” enabled in Windows 10 OS:
- To choose to shut down PC might look like PC already
completely shutting things down, but in reality, PC is entering a
mix between a shutdown and hibernation. A hibernation file is
indeed used.
- And Windows system will keep some configuration or state
even restart again after shutting down to save the startup time
of windows system.
Solution-To disable the “Fast Startup” :
Please follow below steps to change the setting of OS:
- Step 1: Into control panel=>Power Options

- Step 2: Click “Choose what the power buttons do”

- Step 3: Click ”Change settings that are currently unavailable”

- Step 4: Disable “Turn on fast startup (recommended) option
and click ”Save changes”
