This is the latest in portable battery pack
technology from Tracer.
Please take a moment to read carefully the following instructions to get the best
performance from your lithium battery pack.
Features
•Lightweight – approximately ¼ of the weight of equivalent capacity sealed lead acid batteries.
•Strong and robust carry case for transport and protection.
•Flat discharge curve – constant power for longer.
•Battery meter – displays battery charge status.
•Fitted with terminal posts (rated 20A), CH2F chassis mount charge / discharge socket (rated 20A),
12V socket (rated 10A), USB sockets x2 (2.1A & 1A).
•12.6V 10A charger supplied.
•No memory effect – can be recharged after partial discharge.
•Protected against: overcharge, over temperature, over current, deep discharge and short circuit.
Precautions in use
•Do not attempt to dismantle the battery pack in any way.
•Do not short circuit your battery pack – although protected it could overheat.
•Only use the charger supplied with battery pack.
•Do not use as a cranking battery or for starting an engine.
•Your battery pack will need to be charged fully before use.
•If storing your battery pack, store in a charged state. Recharge every 6 months.
•It is recommended to recharge the battery pack within 12 hours if fully discharged.
•Operating temperature (charging): 0°c to 45°c.
•Operating temperature (discharging): -10°c to 60°c.
•Excess heat will degrade the battery pack. Always store your battery pack in a cool dry place.
•Do not leave for long periods in the sun or in a hot vehicle.
•Do not immerse your battery pack in water.
•Do not dispose of in normal household refuse.
Operation
•The CH2F socket can be used for charge or discharge.
•To insert the PL2M connector align the connector’s slots, push forwards and then rotate clockwise
until a positive click is heard and the quick lock is engaged.
•To remove the PL2M connector rotate the connector anti-clockwise and pull away from the socket.
Please note – the total output of all current connections must not exceed 20A.

Using as a backup or “oat”power supply
•The battery can be used as a backup power supply by connecting the charger to the charge socket
and connecting an output connection to the 12V socket or terminal posts.
•If using as a backup power supply ensure the output current does not exceed the current supplied
by the charger.

•Do not use this charger for any other purpose. It has been designed to be used with
this battery pack only.
Recharging the battery pack
For guidance on charging your battery pack please refer to the instruction manual supplied
with your charger. The charge times are shown in the table on page 04.
Transportation
There are many regulations regarding the transportation of lithium batteries. Please consult
IATA, guidelines, your airline, local carrier or www.tracerpower.com for more information.

Battery meter operation
IMPORTANT: The battery meter is operated with the switch. It must be operated AT LEAST
2 minutes after the load (such as a lamp) has been switched off and when the charger is
disconnected. The battery will recover slightly and ONLY then will the battery meter give an
accurate battery state indication.
USB operation
The USB output is operated with the switch. There are 2 outputs, 2.1A and 1A. Do not leave the switch
operated if the USB in not in use as this will slowly discharge the battery.
Warranty
Your new battery has a 12 month warranty (from the date of purchase) against premature failure due
to defects in materials and/or workmanship, subject to the following conditions:
•The warranty does not cover failure due to use outside of the specification and parameters set out
in the previous sections.
•The warranty does not cover failure due to damage caused by abuse.*
•The warranty does not cover failure from excessive wear and tear even within the warranty period.
•A till or computer generated proof of purchase must accompany your claim.
•The warranty is limited to the original owner and is not transferable.
•Should any original defect appear, please log your warranty claim with your retailer or
at www.tracerpower.com
The warranty is void if:
•The serial number is removed from the product.
•The battery or connection system has been modified in any way.
•The battery has been left in a discharged state.
This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is in addition to your statutory rights.
* Charge your battery directly after each use. Leaving your battery in a discharged state will
seriously and permanently damage its performance. Please note we cannot uphold warranty
claims in these circumstances.
