1) Before installation, unfold the Backrest as shown below. Place side hinge covers on backrest, next to arm(see arrow).
2) When positioning the chair, please leave 80cmof space behind the Backrest to allow free reclining of the Backrest.
3) Take out the Pillow and Backrest Pad fromthe box. Then lay it on the Backrest of the chair.

The BackMassageStrength-ControlPad has beeninsertedinto the Backrest Cover. Ifstrong massageis desired,remove theBack
Massage Strength-ControlPad fromthe cover,this strengthensthe massage. If milder massageis desired,inserttheBackMassage
Strength-ControlPad backinto thecoverwhich will lessenthe strengthofthe massage.
Connect to the power supply, and turn the switch under the Seat Pad to: “I” position, the Backrest will slowly come upright
approximately 5seconds later.The Chairis nowin idle mode,During its idle mode,thereareonly five functions; ON/OFF,Backlight,
Recline, Sit Up ,Lift Leg or Recline Leg” that can be operated.

Control Buttons for theMassageChair
1.ON/OFF
Press this button onceand the backlight ofthe RemoteControlwill start blinking.Press any massagefunctionbuttonto begin the
massagefunctionofchoice. Selectingthemassagefunction will also start the timer. Press thisbuttonagain to stopallmassage
functions.Themassagerollers willreturn to theiroriginalposition.
2/3.Recline/SitUp-AngleAdjustment Control Button for MassageChair
These two controlbuttonscan adjust theReclining/Sit Up angle respectively.Pressonceonthe RecliningorSit Up controlbuttonto
adjust theBackrestand/orFootrestto a comfortable position.Pressany ofthe controlbuttonsagain to adjustforthe following:
Recline,Sit Up, Lift Leg, Recline Leg to confirmtheposition.
4/5.LiftLeg/ReclineLeg-AngleAdjustmentControl Button for Legs/Calves
These two controlbuttonscan adjust the massage angle onthe leg rest. Press onceon theLift Leg or Recline Leg controlbuttonand
thelegrest will adjust itselfto a comfortable position. Pressanyofthe controlbuttonsagain forReclining,Sit Up,Lift Leg or Recline
Leg to confirmthe position.
6. Timer
Afterthemassageprocessis activated,thechairwill be automatically set on a15-minuteTimer. By pressingthetimerbutton,you
may changethe lengthofthe massagein fiveminute intervals. Whenone minuteremains onthe timer,the backlightoftheRemote
Controlwill light up automatically.This will be followed by five beepsto alert the user.
7. Backlight
By pressing this key,thebacklight on the remote controlmay be turnedONorOFF. When theBacklight is on,press thisbutton
again,and the Backlight willgo off after30 seconds.Pressingany functionbuttonwill also activatethe Backlight. The light will
automatically shutoffafter30seconds.
8.PauseButton
To momentarily stop a massagefunction,pressthepause button. Whenthe chairis in massagemodeandthe userwishes to
temporarily pause activity, press the Pause button and all massage functions will stop. The “Pause” icon will be blinking on theremote
controland the settime countdownwill be pausedas well.The chairwill be in idle mode. Only the “Pause, Backlight, Recline, Sit Up,
Lift Leg, Recline Leg” can be used. PressthePausebuttonagain to discontinue the “Pause” function and resume the original massage
function.Thesettime countdownwill resume.
9. Auto ScanButton
As the position of the user’s neck, shoulder, back and waistareunique to each individual,thechairis equipped with an AutoScan
function that can be adjusted according to the user’sheight to achievea more effective massage.At thesame time,the
Upward/Downwardmanualcontrolbuttonhelpsto provide moreprecise massageat the exact pointfora more effective and in-depth
massage. Every time this buttonis pressed,theAutoScanwill scan the body anddetermine thebest massagestrength.When the best
massagestrength is detected,theMassageRollers will stop at thatposition,andthemachine willbeep once.The Auto Scanis then
completed 5secondslater.
It is suggested the Backrest be adjusted to the best angle in order to achieve the most accurate body scan.
Please sit upright and relaxduring the process of scanning for the most accurate scanning result.
All fourAuto Programs –Healthcare,Relax,Therapy,andSmartare equipped with AutoScan function. Please refer to the “Auto
Program” section for additional information.
10/11. Back MassageUp/Down Level Adjustment Button
Fora more comprehensive andcomfortable massage,theusercan furtheradjust theheight ofmassagebypressingthe Button within 5
secondsofhearing thebeep.The MassageRollers willgo upwardsordownwardsaccordingto yourrequestuntilyou reachyourmost
comfortableposition.
Full Body Auto Program
If one ofthefourAuto Programs is activatedbeforethe AutoScanoftheentirebody,the machinewill automatically do a height scan
for the back. Should the user prefer, the massage height can manually be adjusted to the preferred level.
Additionally,when theAutoProgramforthe entirebodyorlocalized massageis operating,the strengthofthe airpressurecan be
adjusted by pressing the Back & Seat Intensity ControlButton.
AfteractivatingtheAutoProgram,boththeVibration and Heat function for the backcan be activated according to individual
needs.

The following buttons are locatedon the inside panel of the remote control.
Note: The speed of each massage can be adjusted to three levels: strong, mediumand mild. The width of area covered during
massagemay also be adjustedto three levels:wide,standard or narrow. Levels one and two for each massage may be adjusted by
pressing thekey forthe specified massage. This will increase or decrease intensity of massage as preferred. See page 7 for more
detaileddescriptions of massage options.

Press this button once and it will activate the Rolling function for fullback massage. Press again to stop the function.
This function cannot be used to perform “Spot” massage.

This buttonallows userto select Spot massageforany part onthe backby pressing the Upward / Downward button. Press this
buttononceto activate spotmassagewhilethe selected massage mode continues to run at the originalposition. Press again to
cease Spot massage function and resume full back massage function.
28. Partial
This buttonallows userto select PartialMassageforany part ofthe backby pressing the Upward/ Downward button.The
positionforPartialMassage canbe adjustedas preferredby user. Press the partial buttononce to continue theoriginal
massagemode,whileactivating PartialMassage,which movesthemassage approx.3 inches in eitherdirectionfromthe
point oforigin.Press again to stopPartialMassagefunctionand resume fullbackmassagefunction
29/30.PositionAdjustmentButtonfor Spot or PartialMassage
AfteractivatingSpot orPartialMassage,continueto pressthe▲ / ▼ buttons in succession to move the massage. The
Massage Rollers will go upwardsordownwardsuntilthe desired position.The originalpositionoftheSpotorPartial
Massage will be shifted to the new position. Release the ▲ / ▼ button once the desired positionis achieved.
31.Vibration
ActivatesVibration feature forseat,calves,andfeet.
32/33.Auto1 / Auto 2
Select Auto 1orAuto 2to activate theAir- pressure mode at mediumleveland; pressagainto stopthe Clap function.
AfteractivatingAuto1(orAuto 2),useris allowed to switch mode anytime by pressingAuto2(or Auto 1)again.

The operationofmassage Chairis controlled by a microcomputerthat performs variousintelligent massage methods and
combinations,likeKneading,Tapping,Clapping,Shiatsu, Rolling,Vibration,AirMassage andHeating.Allthese methodsmassages
accuratelyon theacupressurepoints,to effectively alleviatefatigue,promote metabolismand improvebloodcirculation.
Equipped with foursetsoffullbody automaticprograms andfivesetsoflocalized automatic programsto offerseveraloptions
designed tomeet yourindividualmassageneeds.
Various typesofmassagefunctionscanbe combined forcustomized massaging programs,in addition to precise point massages.
The combinationofairpressureforthe Seat Padand Leg as wellas the Calves,HeaterandVibrations can besetautomatically fora
more effective massage.
Spring-styledmassagethat is specially structuredforthe backis designed accordingto thecurveofthe humanbody to
providea more effective and thoroughmassage.
The massage Rollers use an interlockinggearto providean in-depthmassageto the acupressurepoints onthe back.
Designed with double automatic adjustment, the Chair’s Backrest can be adjusted from 115 to 160, while the Footrest,from0
to 90 to suit you.
The Timer Function canbe adjustedaccordingto yourdesireddurationofthemassage program.
Backlit Liquid CrystalDisplay foruserfriendly operation evenin thedark.
Designedwith powersurgeandpressuredetectoras wellas automatictemperaturesensorand autoshutdownmechanismfor
safety.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Maintenance –To keepyour chairworkingand lookingits best,pleasefollowthe following guidelines:
1. Be sure to disconnectthe powercordfromthe electricaloutlet before cleaning.
2. Avoid cleaning themassage chairwith benzene,thinnerorany otherchemicals.
3. Clean hand controlwith a dry cloth.
4. Touch keypadlightly whenoperating and avoid pressingwith edgeofnail.
5. Foreign objects should notbe inserted betweenthe massagenodesorthe unit housing.
6. The mechanics ofthis chairare designedandconstructedto be maintenancefree. No periodiclubrication orservicingis
required.
7. A maximum duration of15minutes is recommendedforeach use.
8. Do not store nearheat oropenflame.
9. Do not leave chairexposedto direct sunlight forlong periodsoftime.
10. When not in use fora long periodoftime,we recommend that the powercordbe removed.
11. Children,pregnant women andpatients with seriousillnessesshould exerciseextracaution whenusingthe massagechair.
12. Do not presson thechair,orput yourfingersbeneaththefabric coverofthekneader.
13. Do not stand,sit orjump on the calfpad holder.
14. Do not unplugoropenthe Y-shaped connecting circuit.
15. Massagechairhas amicrocomputersensitiveto voltagefluctuation. Abnormalities willoccurif thevoltagefluctuation
exceeds +10% to -15% ofthe rated voltage.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Power is on, but the massagechairfails tooperate.
Checkif theplug is correctly placedandifthe power-switch on the chair is in the “on” position.
Whenin use,theremote controloperates normally, but the massagechairfails tooperate.
The chairis equippedwith a thermalresetting protectiondevice. This is an addedsafetyfeatureto protect youand the massagechair
fromoverheating. Ifthechairshould suddenlystopand willnot start,turnthemain powerswitchoffand donot operated the chairfor
at least30 minutes. Failureto turn thechairoffmay result in the chairstartingunexpectedly whenthedevicecools.
Whenin use,neithertheremotecontrolnor the massagechairoperates properly.
Disconnectthe powersupply. Switch on againand reactivate.
Should allof the above failto rectify the situation,pleasecontactourservice departmentorvisit theTranquilEasewebsite.
2 YEARS LIMITED WARRANTY BYRAFFEL COMFORT SCIENCES (RCS)
1. WARRANTY. Subject to limitation set forth herein:
(A) PARTS: If during theTWO(2)YEARS period beginning onthe dateoforiginaldateofthis chairto the originalowner,any
defect that shalloccurin the motors,solid statecontrols,electricalormechanicalpartsandassemblies orrollermechanis ms
(collectively the “parts”), Raffel Comfort Sciences will exchange, replace or repair such defective parts without charge.
(B) REPLACEMENT PARTSare guaranteed forthe unexpired balanceofthe originalwarranty period.
(C) SERVICE: If during the FIRST(1) YEAR period beginning onthe date ofthe originaldelivery ofthischairto theoriginal
owner,any defectshalloccurwhich is covered underthis Limited Warranty, RCS atits solediscretion,mayprovideIn-Homelabor
service without chargeorif need be,arrange shippingbackand forthfromcustomerto RCSfor repairat no cost.Forservice,call800-
307-1058.
2. LIMITATIONS:
(A) This Limited Warrantydoes notcoverupholsterycoveringorornamentation. In addition,thisLimited Warrantyshallbe void
if, in the sole discretion ofRCS,(1) thedefect allegedto becovered underthisLimited Warrantywas causedby accident,misuse,
improperservice,abuse,alteration,tampering,damage,resulting fromtransit orhandling or(2)the nameplateon the chair is defaced,
removed,oraltered in any way.
(B) The limit ofliability underthis warrantyshallbe the actualcash value,at the time ofclaim, ofthe product in operating
condition,orthe actualcost ofrepair,whicheveris less. The aggregate limit of liability shallnot exceed the originalpurchaseprice of

theproduct.
(C) Except as otherwisespecified above,thereare no warrantieswhatsoeverwith respect to the chair,expressed orimplied,
including butnot limited to,warranties ofmerchantability orfitnessfora particularpurposeorthosearisingout ofa courseofdealing
or usage oftrade. In no eventshallRCS be liable forany incidentalorconsequentialdamagesarisingoutoftheuse orinability to use
thechairforany purposewhatsoever.
(D) Do not sit on leg rest while it is in extended position. It is designed tosupport leg weight only. Damageto it is not covered
underwarranty.
3. SERVICE:
(A) To obtain service callthewarrantyService AuthorizationCenterat 800-307-1058. If upon examination by theservice center
no breakdownis found,thecustomerwillberesponsibleforallcharges incurred.
(B) The manufactureris not responsible forshippingcharges forserviceafter2years.
(C) In home serviceforONE(1) year,for laborand partsrepair.
Some statesdo notallowtheexclusion orlimitation ofincidentalorconsequentialdamagesordo notallowlimitations on howlongan
implied warranty lasts,so theabovelimitations orexclusionsmay not apply toyou.
GENERAL LIMITATIONS: Warranties arenon-transferable. Proofofpurchase(originalreceipt)is required forallwarranty repairs.
This warranty is effectiveonly iftheproduct is purchasedandoperated in the UnitedStatesofAmerica.A productthatrequires
modifications oradaptation toenable it to operate in any countryotherthan thecountryforwhich it was designed,manufactured,
approved and/orauthorized,orrepairofproductsdamagedby thesemodificationsis notcoveredunderwarranty. Allservice covered
by this warrantymust be approvedby RCSand repairs performed by authorized technicians.
This warranty applies only to the massage chair and does not include any accessories or enhancements.
Warranties do not apply to rental, business, commercial, institutional, or other non-residential users. Softening
of foams and filling composites in pillows, pads, and do not constitute a defect under this warranty as those
items naturally soften with use. Fading, wear and pilling of fabrics do not constitute a defect under this
warranty as those conditions naturally occur with fabrics. Natural markings, grain, and dye variations in fabric
do not constitute a defect under this warranty as no two pieces of fabric are alike.
