SAFETY INFORMATION SAFETY INFORMATION
• DO make certain that the seat is in a
locked position when you are operating
your CRUZ
• DO reduce your CRUZ’s speed when you
are driving around a corner
• DO proceed with caution as you
approach the downgrade of a ramp or
other incline and when driving near a
raised surface or unprotected ledges
and drop offs (curbs, porches, stairs, etc.)
• DO avoid exposure to rain, snow, ice, salt,
or standing water whenever possible
• DO maintain and store in a clean and dry
condition
• DO keep your hands away from the tires
when driving. Be aware that loose tting
clothing can become caught in drive
tires
• DO make certain that the tires are
properly inated (30 psi)
• DO keep tools and other metal objects
away from battery terminals. Contact
with tools can cause electrical shock
• DO follow the recommended weight
capacity (150 kg / 330 lbs)
• DO follow the recommended incline
slope rating (14 degrees/25% slope)
• DO NOT drive your CRUZ across the side
of a hill or diagonally up or down a hill,
and do not stop (if possible) while driving
up or down an incline
• DO NOT operate your new CRUZ for the
rst time without completely reading
and understanding the owner’s manual
• DO NOT carry additional passengers on
your CRUZ
• DO NOT use your CRUZ as a seat in a
moving vehicle
• DO NOT allow unsupervised children to
play near the scooter
• DO NOT operate your CRUZ while under
the inuence of alcohol, as this may
impair your ability to drive safely
• ALL servicing must be performed by
qualied personnel only. Unauthorized
modications to scooter, its power
system or its control system may
compromise the performance and
safety of the system. UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES should you attempt any
repair or service that is not covered in
this manual.
• ALWAYS ensure all safety warning labels
are in place and legible.

WARNING:The operator should read all of the warnings signs and instructions here and on the lift before using scooter.
WARNING: Always protect batteries from freezing temperatures and never charge a frozen battery. This will damage the battery and
may cause personal injury. Attempting to charge a battery in freezing conditions does not prevent a battery from freezing.
WARNING: You should not operate your scooter on public streets and roadways. Be aware that it may be difcult for trafc to see you
when you are seated on your scooter. Obey all local pedestrian trafc rules. Wait until your path is clear of trafc, and then proceed
with extreme caution.
PRE-RIDE SAFETY CHECK
Get to know the feel of your CRUZ foldable mobility scooter and its capabilities in a safe driving
environment before taking it in public. Travel Buggy recommends that you perform a safety check
before each use to make sure your CRUZ operates smoothly and safely.
PERFORM THE FOLLOWING INSPECTIONS PRIOR TO USING YOUR CRUZ:
• Check for proper tire ination. Maintain but do not exceed the psi/bar/kPa air pressure rating
indicated (30psi) on each tire.
• Check all electrical connections. Make sure they are tight and not corroded.
• Check the brakes.
• Check battery charge.
NOTE: If you discover a problem, contact Travel Buggy or an authorized Travel Buggy dealer for assistance.
WARNING: Do not modify your scooter in any way including accessories if they have not authorized by Travel Buggy . Do not
use accessories if they have not been tested or approved for CRUZ foldable scooter.
WARNING: Be aware that cell phones, two-way radios, laptops, and other types of radio transmitters may cause
unintended movement of your electrically-powered mobility vehicle duo to EMI. Exercise caution when using any of these
items while operating your mobility vehicle and avoid coming into close proximity of radio and TV stations. 5

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
WHEN USING THE BATTERY
1. Lithium-ion battery packs may get hot,
explode or ignite and cause serious
injury if exposed to abuse conditions. Be
sure to follow the safety warnings listed
below:
• DO NOT place the battery near re or
heat the battery
• DO NOT install the battery backwards
so the polarity is reversed
• DO NOT connect the positive and
negative terminal of the battery to
each other with any metal object
(such as a wire)
• DO NOT carry or store the battery
together with necklaces, hairpins, or
other metal objects
• DO NOT pierce the battery with nails
strike the battery with a hammer,
step on the battery or otherwise
subject it to strong impacts or shocks
• DO NO solder directly onto the
battery
• DO NOT expose battery to water or
salt water, or allow the battery to get
wet
2. DO NOT disassemble or modify the
battery. The battery contains safety and
protection devices, which if damaged,
may cause the battery to generate heat,
explode or ignite
3. DO NOT place the battery in or near re,
on stoves or other high temperature
locations. Do not place the battery in
direct sunlight, or use or store batteries
inside cars in hot weather. Doing so may
cause the battery to generate heat,
explode or ignite. Using the battery in
this manner may also result in a loss
of performance and a shortened life
expectancy.
4. If the device is to be used by children, the
caregiver should explain the contents
of this document to the children and
provide adequate supervision to ensure
the device is being used appropriately
5. When the battery is worn out, insulate
the terminals with adhesive tape or
similar materials before disposal
6. Immediately discontinue use of the
battery if, while using, charging or
storing the battery, the battery emits an
unusual smell, feels hot, changes color,
or shape, or appears abnormal in any
way. Contact Travel Buggy if any of these
problems are observed
7. DO NOT place battery in microwave over,
high pressure containers or on induction
cookware
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
CHARGING PRECAUTIONS
1. BE SURE to follow the warnings listed
below while charging the battery. Failure
to do so may cause the battery to
become hot, explode or ignite and cause
serious injury.
• When charging the battery, ONLY USE
THE SPECIFIED CHARGER PROVIDED
WITH THE PRODUCT
• DO NOT attach the battery to a
power supply plug or directly to a
car’s cigarette lighter
• DO NOT place the battery in or near
re, or in direct sunlight. Heating
the battery can damage the safety
circuitry, which can cause additional
heating, rupture or ignition of the
battery
2. DO NOT continue charging the battery
if it does not recharge in the timelines
specied in the operating manual
3. THE TEMPERATURE range over which a
battery can be charged is 0°C to 45°C
(32°F to 113°F). Charging the battery at
temperatures outside of that range may
cause severe damage to the battery or
reduce battery life expectancy
WHEN DISCHARGING THE BATTERY
1. DO NOT discharge the battery using any
other device except for the specied
device. When the battery is used in
devices other than the specied device,
it may damage the battery or reduce
its life expectancy. If the device causes
abnormal current ow, it may cause the
battery to become hot, explode or ignite
and cause serious injury.
2. THE TEMPERATURE range over which the
battery can be discharged is -20°C to
60°C (-4°F to 140°F). Use of the battery
outside this temperature range may
damage the performance of the battery
or may reduce its life expectancy.

GETTING STARTED
• Unlock the seat by pulling the latch located on the back of the backrest and lift the seat
vertically up into seating position

• Assemble the handlebar and steering
column by lifting up and locking it into
position
• Ensure the steering column latch is
pressed rmly down to allow for the
column to lock into position. Once
the steering column is ush, lock the
steering column latch by pulling up.
• Press down rmly on backrest to release
it from locked position

BACKREST INTO POSITION UNLESS YOU

• Raise the seat until there is a *click*
indicating the seat has reached its fully
extended locked position then press
down on the backrest latch to lock it
back into position.
• Adjust the height of the steering column
as required
• Locate the rear fenders shipped with the
CRUZ mobility scooter
• Next, remove the loosely installed two
screws and one bolt from the fender
position at the rear wheel
• To utilize the luggage carrier, loosen
the locking pin and extend the carrier
bar to required length. Ensure locking
pin fastens into locked position when
luggage rack extended

• Slide the rear fender on the fender
holder and into position
• Ensure the reector is facing the rear of
the CRUZ
• Fasten the screws and bolt to secure the
fender
• Repeat for second rear fender

GETTING STARTED
ON/OFF System Power. Press to turn ON. When power turned ON, all lights will ash
immediately. To turn OFF, press and hold for 2-seconds.
LED Headlight. When power is ON, press the LIGHT switch to turn on the headlight. Press
again to turn OFF. Only works when power to scooter is on.
Power Level. Three unique power levels. LOW (rst light) ,
MEDIUM (second light), HIGH (third light). Corresponds to 4, 8,
12 kph at top speeds. Choose HIGH for climbing steep hills.
Battery Life Indicator. Four lights indicates greater than 75% battery life
remaining, three lights indicates 50% remaining, two lights indicates 25%
remaining, one light means low battery life remaining, charge immediately.
Drive Gear. D means drive is in forward mode. R means drive is in reverse mode.
Parking Brake. Depress to lock the brakes in place.
Drive. Rotate handle
grip to accelerate.
Brake. Squeeze hand
brake to brake.

• To utilize the grab bar, power OFF your
CRUZ mobility scooter
• Lift up the front wheel to gain access
beneath the scooter
• Release the grab bar by pulling out the
release pin located underneath the
scooter
• Extend the grab bar until it is locked into
position with a “click”
• Utilize the grab bar to pull the scooter
similar to a suitcase
NOTICE: You may leave the grab bar extended while driving, however, be cautious as it reduces the ground clearance of the CRUZ and
hitting obstacles with grab bar extended may bring CRUZ to a sudden stop

• While sitting comfortably in the CRUZ
scooter, press the controller button ON
to initiate power
• Next select MODE to choose speed, we
recommend beginning on the lowest
speed level
• Check that there is enough battery
power on the POWER indicator to reach
your destination
• Ensure the CRUZ is in drive mode (D)
• Rotate right hand grip slowly to
accelerate the scooter smoothly
• Engage hand brake on left side to slow
the scooters movement

TO LOAD THE SCOOTER INTO A VEHICLE WE
RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING STEPS:
• Power OFF your Cruz mobility scooter
• Release the grab bar beneath the
scooter (image 1)
• Pull the scooter near to the vehicle with
the front wheel facing the rear of the
vehicle
• Squeeze the hand brake and engage
the park brake to lock the rear wheels
(image 2), check that the rear wheels
are locked and parking brake is truly
engaged
• Extend the luggage bar at the back of
the scooter to help leverage the CRUZ
into the vehicle (image 3)
• Lift the front wheel into the back of
the vehicle, check to make sure it is
secure and will not roll backwards. We
recommend placing a blanket down
over the back of the vehicle to avoid
scratches (image 4)
• Grab the luggage bar at the back of
the scooter and lift it into the vehicle
while rolling the front wheel into position

BATTERY MAINTENANCE BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries require
routine maintenance and care in their use and
handling. Read and follow the guidelines in this
document to safely use Lithium-Ion batteries and
achieve the maximum battery life span.
OVERVIEW
Do not leave batteries unused for extended
periods of time, either in the product or in storage.
When a battery has been unused for 6 months,
check the charge status and charge or dispose
of the battery as appropriate.
The typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion
battery is about three years or ~500 charge
cycles, whichever occurs rst. One charge cycle
is a period of use from fully charged, to fully
discharged, and fully recharged again. Use a
three-year life expectancy for batteries that do
not run through complete charge cycles.
Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries have a
limited life and will gradually lose their capacity
to hold a charge. This loss of capacity (aging)
is irreversible. As the battery loses capacity, the
length of time it will power the product (run time)
decreases.
Lithium-Ion batteries continue to slowly discharge
(self-discharge) when not in use or while in
storage. Routinely check the battery’s charge
status.
Use only the provided battery(s) in your product.
Use only the provided charger to charge your
battery(s).
BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Observe and note the run time that a new fully-
charged battery provides for powering your
product. Use this new battery run time as a basis
to compare run times for older batteries. The run
time of your battery will vary depending on the
product’s conguration and the applications that
you run.
Routinely check the battery’s charge status.
Carefully monitor batteries that are approaching
the end of their estimated life.
Consider replacing the battery with a new one if
you note either of the following conditions:
• The battery run time drops below about 80%
of the original run time.
• The battery charge time increases
signicantly.
If a battery is stored or otherwise unused for an
extended period, be sure to follow the storage
instructions in this document. If you do not follow
the instructions, and the battery has no charge
remaining when you check it, consider it to be
damaged. Do not attempt to recharge it or to use
it. Replace it with a new battery.
CHARGING
Always follow the charging instructions provided
with your product. Refer to your product’s
user manual and/or online help for detailed
information about charging its battery.
Use only the provided charger to charge your
battery.
WARNING: DO NOT charge the batteries for greater than 8 hours, this will signicantly reduce the longevity of the lithium ion batteries
and be of harm to the user.

STORAGE
• Charge or discharge the battery to
approximately 50% of capacity before
storage.
• Charge the battery to approximately 50% of
capacity at least once every six months.
• Remove the battery and store it separately
from the product.
• Store the battery at temperatures between 5
°C and 20 °C (41 °F and 68 °F).
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
• Do not disassemble, crush, or puncture a
battery.
• Do not short the external contacts on a
battery.
• Do not expose a battery to re or water.
• Do not expose a battery to temperatures
above 60 °C (140 °F).
• Keep the battery away from children.
• Avoid exposing the battery to excessive
shock or vibration.
• Do not use a damaged battery.
• If a battery pack has leaking uids, do not
touch any uids.
• Dispose of a leaking battery pack (see
Disposal and Recycling in this document).
• In case of eye contact with uid, do not rub
eyes. Immediately ush eyes thoroughly with
water for at least 15 minutes, lifting upper
and lower lids, until no evidence of the uid
remains. Seek medical attention.
• Immediately discontinue use of the battery if,
while using, charging or storing the battery,
the battery emits an unusual smell, feels
hot, changes color, or shape, or appears
abnormal in any way. Contact Travel Buggy if
any of these problems are observed
TRANSPORTATION
• Always check all applicable local, national,
and international regulations before
transporting a Lithium-Ion battery.
• Transporting an end-of-life, damaged, or
recalled battery may, in certain cases, be
specically limited or prohibited.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
• Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to disposal
and recycling regulations that vary by
country and region. Always check and follow
your applicable regulations before disposing
of any battery. Contact Rechargeable Battery
Recycling Corporation (www.rbrc.org) for
U.S.A. and Canada, or your local battery
recycling organization.
• Many countries prohibit the disposal of waste
electronic equipment in standard waste
receptacles.
• Place only discharged batteries in a battery
collection container. Use electrical tape or
other approved covering over the battery
connection points to prevent short circuits.
NOTE: When you troubleshoot battery issues for dual battery congurations, test one battery and one battery slot at a time. A defective
battery can prevent the battery in the opposite slot from charging, leaving you with two uncharged batteries. NOTE: The battery self-discharges during storage. Higher temperatures (above 20 °C or 68 °F) reduce the battery storage life.

CHARGING
• We recommend removing the battery
from your CRUZ foldable mobility
scooter in order to charge it, rather than
charging while in the scooter
• To remove the battery, utilize the
provided key to unlock the battery from
its holster
• Please ensure the charger and battery
are on a at surface and keep in a well
ventilated area
• Connect the output plug of the charger
into the charging socket of the battery,
second connect the input plug of
charger with your local power socket
• Ensure the plugs and power socket are
safe
• When charging, the indicator light on the
power block will be red. After 4 - 6 hours
of charging (depending on battery
level), the indicator light will change
from red to green, indicating the battery
is now fully charged

WARNING: Do not leave plugged in more than 12 hours as it will effect the longevity of the battery pack.
WARNING: Do not turn the scooter on if charging battery in scooter.
WARNING: Use of different chargers may cause serious injury to you and may damage the battery pack. Any consequences caused
by this are the sole responsibility of the user.
MAINTENANCE & CARE
• Keep your CRUZ foldable mobility scooter
clean from debris, moisture and dirt.
Wipe clean often
• Visually inspect for worn, damaged or
broken components. Special attention
should be paid to the wheels and axles
• Check the condition of the warning
labels. They are for the safety of the
operator. REPLACE them if necessary.
LUBRICATION
• According to use condition, please clean
or lubricate the front axle, rear axle, front
fork and rotating parts after 180 days
• Molybdenum disulde grease is
recommended
• Your CRUZ foldable mobility scooter has
electric hub motors that do not require
lubrication, please do not lubricate the
motors

WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY, CHARGE LITHIUM-ION PROVIDED BATTERIES ONLY WITH PROVIDED LITHIUM-ION BATTERY CHARGER.
Other types of chargers may cause the battery to generate heat, explode or ignite potentially causing personal injury or damage.

LIMITED WARRANTY
The purchaser of this product is entitled
to a limited warranty as offered by Travel
Buggy and its afliates on the following
components and timeframes from the date
of purchase:
2 YEAR WARRANTY - Main Frame
1 YEAR WARRANTY - Motor, Control System
(CPU)
6 MONTHS WARRANTY - Battery/Cables
90 DAY LIMITED WARRANTY - On the
wearing parts, such as the rubber tires,
armrest padding, joystick button covers,
controls knobs
30 DAY LIMITED WARRANTY - Soft goods,
such as seat cushion ond backrest padding.
This warranty is valid for the replacement
of dysfunctional parts only. Any parts under
warranty will be replaced and shipped to
your door. Any service and labor fees, if
applicable, to replace parts under warranty
must be paid by the user.
Due to its straightforward design, most parts
can be easily exchanged by the end user
without a professional service tech required.
However, it is always recommended you
seek professional help for maintenance
and service, to make sure the work is done
properly.
The warranty only covers NON-DELIBERATE
Damage.
The warranty does not cover:
• Products damaged by user negligence.
• Products damaged accidentally.
• Products damaged intentionally.
• Products that have been subjected to
negligence.
• Products that have been subjected to
abuse.
• Products that have been improperly
stored.
• Products that have been improperly
handled.
• Products that have been improperly
operated.
• Products that have experienced general
misuse.
• Products that have been modied in an
unauthorized, unapproved way.
Warranty is non-transferable and only valid
for the original wheelchair purchaser.
Travel Buggy will, at its sole discretion,
replace any warrantable item that fails
within the warranty period.

recommande d’effectuer un contrôle de sécurité avant chaque utilisation an de vous assurer que
votre CRUZ fonctionne sans problème et en toute sécurité.
EFFECTUEZ LES CONTRÔLES SUIVANTS AVANT D’UTILISER VOTRE CRUZ:
• Vériez que vos pneus sont correctement gonés. Maintenez, mais ne dépassez pas la pression
d’air indiquée (30 psi/bar/kPa) sur chaque pneu.
• Vériez toutes les connexions électriques. Assurez-vous qu’elles sont bien serrées et non
corrodées.
• Vériez les freins.
• Vériez la charge de la batterie.

• Ne placez pas la batterie près du feu
ou ne chauffez pas la batterie
• N'installez pas la batterie à l'envers

• Ne connectez pas les bornes positive

• Ne transportez pas et ne stockez

• Déverrouillez le siège en tirant sur le loquet situé à l’arrière du dossier et soulevez le siège
verticalement pour l’amener en position assise
• Assembler le guidon et la colonne de
direction en les soulevant et en les
verrouillant en position
• Veillez à ce que le verrou de la colonne de
direction soit fermement enfoncé pour
permettre à la colonne de se verrouiller
en position. Une fois, la colonne de di-
rection alignée, verrouillez le loquet de la

• Étendre la barre d’appui jusqu’à ce
qu’elle soit verrouillée en position par un
“clic”
• Utiliser la barre d’appui pour tirer le
scooter comme une valise
AVIS: Vous pouvez laisser la barre d’appui déployée pendant la conduite, mais soyez prudent car cela réduit la garde au sol du CRUZ et
le fait de heurter des obstacles avec la barre d’appui déployée peut entraîner l’arrêt soudain du CRUZ

Mise en marche et arrêt du système. Appuyez pour mettre en marche. Lorsque le
système est mis sous tension, tous les voyants clignotent immédiatement. Pour
l’éteindre, appuyez sur la touche pendant 2 secondes.
Phare LED. Lorsque le système est sous tension, appuyez sur l’interrupteur LIGHT pour
allumer le phare. Appuyez à nouveau pour l’éteindre. Ne fonctionne que lorsque le
scooter est sous tension.

Indicateur d’autonomie de la batterie. Quatre voyants indiquent qu’il
reste plus de 75 % de la durée de vie de la batterie, trois voyants indiquent
qu’il reste 50 %, deux voyants indiquent qu’il reste 25 %, un voyant signie
qu’il reste une faible durée de vie de la batterie, chargez immédiatement.
Vitesse de conduite. D signie que la conduite est en mode avant. R signie que la
conduite est en mode de marche arrière.
Frein de stationnement. Appuyez pour verrouiller les freins en place.
Démarrage. Tourner
la poignée pour
accélérer.
Freinage. Serrer le
frein à main pour

Les batteries rechargeables au lithium-ion
nécessitent un entretien et des soins de routine
lors de leur utilisation et de leur manipulation.
Lisez et suivez les instructions de ce document
pour utiliser en toute sécurité les batteries au
lithium-ion et atteindre la durée de vie maximale
de la batterie.
APERÇU
Ne laissez pas les piles inutilisées pendant de
longues périodes, que ce soit dans le produit ou
en stock. Lorsqu'une batterie n'a pas été utilisée
pendant 6 mois, vériez l'état de charge et
chargez ou jetez la batterie selon le cas.
La durée de vie estimée typique d'une batterie au
lithium-ion est d'environ trois ans ou ~ 500 cycles
de charge, selon la première éventualité. Un cycle
de charge est une période d'utilisation allant de
la pleine charge à la décharge complète et à la
recharge complète. Utilisez une durée de vie de
trois ans pour les batteries qui ne fonctionnent
pas pendant des cycles de charge complets.
Les batteries rechargeables au lithium-ion ont
une durée de vie limitée et perdront progressive-
ment leur capacité à maintenir une charge. Cette
perte de capacité (vieillissement) est irréversible.
À mesure que la batterie perd de sa capacité, la
durée pendant laquelle elle alimentera le produit
(durée de fonctionnement) diminue.
Les batteries au lithium-ion continuent de
se décharger lentement (auto-décharge)
lorsqu'elles ne sont pas utilisées ou lorsqu'elles
sont stockées. Vériez régulièrement l'état de
charge de la batterie.
Utilisez uniquement la ou les batteries fournies
dans votre produit.
Utilisez uniquement le chargeur fourni pour
charger vos batteries.
ENTRETIEN DE LA BATTERIE
Observez et notez la durée de fonctionnement
fournie par une nouvelle batterie entièrement
chargée pour alimenter votre produit. Utilisez
cette nouvelle durée de fonctionnement de la
batterie comme base pour comparer les temps
de fonctionnement des anciennes batteries.
L’autonomie de votre batterie varie en fonction
de la conguration du produit et des applications
que vous exécutez.
Vériez régulièrement l'état de charge de la
batterie.
Surveillez attentivement les batteries qui
approchent de la n de leur durée de vie estimée.
Envisagez de remplacer la batterie par une neuve
si vous notez l'une des conditions suivantes:
• L'autonomie de la batterie tombe en dessous
d'environ 80% de la durée de fonctionnement
d'origine.
• Le temps de charge de la batterie augmente
considérablement.
Si une batterie est stockée ou non utilisée
pendant une période prolongée, assurez-vous
de suivre les instructions de stockage de ce
document. Si vous ne suivez pas les instructions
et que la batterie n'a plus de charge lorsque vous
la vériez, considérez qu'elle est endommagée.
N'essayez pas de le recharger ou de l'utiliser.
Remplacez-la par une nouvelle pile.

fournies avec votre produit. Reportez-vous au
manuel d’utilisation de votre produit et / ou à
l’aide en ligne pour obtenir des informations
