SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNINGS

1) SAFETY OF WORKING AREA
Keep the working area clean and properly illuminated.
Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
Do not use the electric tools in explosive atmospheres, such
as in presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electric
tools produce sparks which can ignite dust or smoke.
Keep children and bystanders at safety distance during
use of the tool. If distracted, you can lose control of the tool.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
The plugs of the electric tool must be suitable for the
socket. Never modify the plug in any way. Never use
adaptors with ground connection tools. Plugs not modified
and suitable sockets reduce risk of electric shocks.
Avoid all bodily contacts with grounded surfaces such as
pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your body is connected to ground.
Do not expose the tools to rain or wet environments.
Penetration of water in the tool will increase risk of electric shock.
Do not mistreat the power cord. Never use the power cord
to carry, to pull or to unplug the tool. Keep the power cord
away from heat, lubrificants, edges or from moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When you work outside with the tool, use a suitable
extention cable for outdoor use. Using a power cord/extention
cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
If the use of a tool in a wet location is inevitable, use a power
supply protected by a residual current device (RCD). The use
of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3) SAFETY OF PEOPLE
Remain vigilant, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when using the tool. Do not use a tool when
you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A distraction while using the tool can result to
serious personal injury or damage to others.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eyes protection. Safety
equipment such as masks against dust, anti-slip safety shoes, helmets
and ear protectors used for appropriate conditions reduce personal
injuries.
Avoid any premature starting. Ensure that the switch is in
the stop position before connecting the tool to the mains
and/or to the battery pack, or before picking it up or before
carrying it. Carrying the tools while your finger is on the switch or
connecting the tool when the switch is in ON position lead to
accidents.
Remove all adjustment keys before starting the tool. A key
left inserted in a turning part can cause personal injuries.
Do not hurry. Maintain a suitable stable position and well
balanced at all times. This allows for better control of the tool
in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or yewellery.
Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothing, yewellery or long hair can be caught by the moving
parts.
If devices are provided for a connection of equipments for
extraction and collection of dust, ensure these are well
connected and properly used. Use of dust collectors can reduce
dust related hazards.
4) USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE TOOL
Never force the tool. Use the tool suitable for your
application. The right tool will carry out the work better and in a
safe way, at the motor speed for which it has been built.
4

Do not use the tool if the switch does not permit to change
from ON to OFF position and viceversa. Any tool chiwh cannot
be controlled by the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the mains power supply source
and/or the battery pack of the tool before any adjustment,
replacement, changing of accessory or before storing the
tool. Such preventative safety measures reduce the risk of
accidental starting of the tool.
Always keep the tool out of the reach of children and do not
allow people who are not familiar with the tool or with
present instructions to use it. The tools are dangerous in th
hands of unexperienced people.
Observe the maintenance of the tool. Verify that there is no
bad alignment or obstruction of the moving parts, broken
parts or any other condition which can effect the good
functionning of the tool. In case of damages, always repair
the tool before using it. Several accidents are due to bad
maintained tools.
The tool must be kept sharp and clean, so to preserve its
cutting performances. Tools destined to cut, properly
maintained with sharp cutting devices are less susceptible to
jamming and are easier to control during use.
Use the tool, the accessory and the blades, etc., as
indicated in these instructions, taking into consideration
the working conditions and the work to be carried out. The
use of the tool for operations other than those indicated in this
manual could lead to dangerous situations.
5) MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
Always use qualified workshops to maintain your tool and
always use only genuine spare parts. This ensures the safety
of your tool.
