IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic
safety precautions should always be
followed, including:
1. Read all instructions before using this
heater.
2. This heater is HOT when in use.
To AVOID BURNS, do not let bare
skin touch hot surfaces. Use the
handle when moving this heater.
Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet
(0.9meter) from the front of the
heater and keep them away from the
sides and rear.
3. EXTREME CAUTION is necessary
when any heater is used by or near
children or invalids and whenever
the heater is left operating and
unattended.
4. ALWAYS unplug heater when not in
use.
5. DO NOT operate any heater with
a damaged cord or plug or after
the heater malfunctions, has been
dropped, or has been damaged in
any manner. Discard the heater or
return it to an authorized service
facility for examination and/or repair.
6. DO NOT use outdoors.
7. This heater is NOT INTENDED for
use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and
similar indoor locations. NEVER place
the heater where it may fall into a
bathtub or other water container.
8. DO NOT run the power cord under
carpeting. DO NOT cover the power
cord with throw rugs, runners, or
similar coverings. DO NOT route
the power cord under furniture or
appliances. Arrange the power cord
away from traffic areas and where it
will not be tripped over.
9. To disconnect the heater, turn the
Power Switch to off and then remove
the plug from the power outlet.
10. DO NOT insert or allow foreign
objects to enter any ventilation or
exhaust opening because this might
cause an electric shock, fire, or
damage to the heater.
11. TO PREVENT A POSSIBLE FIRE, do
not block the air intakes or exhaust
in any manner. DO NOT use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings
may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing or
sparking parts inside. DO NOT use
it in areas where gasoline, paint, or
flammable liquids are used or stored.
13. Use this heater ONLY as described
in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by Tristar may cause
fire, electric shock, or injury to people.
14. ALWAYS plug heaters directly into
a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use
with an extension cord or relocatable
power tap (outlet/power strip).
15. The heater MUST NOT be placed
within 3 feet (0.9 meter) of a power
outlet.
16. This heater is NOT INTENDED for
use by people with reduced physical,
sensory, or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge unless
they are under the supervision of a
responsible person or have been
given proper instruction in using the
heater. This heater is not intended for
use by children.

17. DO NOT connect the power cord to
an on/off device, such as a timer. DO
NOT connect the heater to a circuit
that is regularly switched on and off.
18. If the power supply cord is damaged,
it MUST BE replaced by Tristar, its
service agent, or a similarly qualified
person.
19. DO NOT use outdoors.
20. CUT OFF the power immediately if
there is a short circuit or damage to
the Unit or power cord.
21. UNPLUG the heater when not in use.
22. Due to risk of melting the power cord,
DO NOT place the power cord in front
of the heater.
23. This heater is NOT RECOMMENDED
for use on multi-use carpets or high-
pile carpets. Only operate the heater
on a flat, stable surface.
24. DISPOSE of the packaging carefully.

Power Switch: Press “I” to power on the Unit. Press “O” to power off the Unit. When the Unit
is powered on but not activated, the Display shows “0F.”
Remote Power Button: Press once to activate the Unit. Press again to deactivate the Unit.
Note: The Remote Control will not function unless the Power Switch is in the ON position.
Temperature/Timer Display Button: Press to cycle between the ambient temperature,
the temperature setting, and the timer setting. The temperature and timer settings will blink
for 3 seconds before reverting to the ambient temperature display.
Time/Temperature Increase Button: Press to increase the set time or temperature.
Time/Temperature Decrease Button: Press to decrease the set time or temperature.
Fireplace Effect Button: Press to display or hide the visual replace effect.
Note: The replace effect can be used both with and without the Unit’s heating function.

Operating Instructions
1. Place the Unit on a flat, stable surface. Plug the Power Cord into a
power outlet.
2. Press “I” on the Power Switch (located at the lower back corner on
the Unit) to power the Unit on. Then, press the Remote Power Button.
3. Set the desired temperature: Use the Temperature/Timer Display
Button to cycle to the temperature setting. Then, use the Time/
Temperature Increase or Decrease Buttons to select your desired
temperature.
NOTE: To enable the Unit’s heating function, set the Unit’s
temperature above the ambient temperature. The Unit will start
heating up and blowing hot air. After the desired temperature is set,
the display reverts to showing the ambient temperature.
4. Set the timer: If you are using the Unit’s timer function, use the
Temperature/Timer Display Button to cycle to the timer setting. Use
the Time/Temperature Increase or Decrease Buttons to set the timer.
NOTE: The Unit will continue to operate if the timer is set to 0.
Manually turn the Unit off when it is not in use.
5. Press the Fireplace Effect Button to display or hide the visual
fireplace effect.
• Temperature setting range: 59–95° F.
• Timer setting range: 0–8 hours. By
default, the timer displays “0H,” which
indicates that the timer is inactive. The
timer can be increased or decreased in
1-hour increments.
• During use, the Unit may turn on
or off depending on the difference
between the ambient temperature
and set temperature. When the
ambient temperature rises above
the set temperature, the Unit will
automatically stop heating (the fan
continues blowing for 15 seconds
before stopping completely). When the
ambient temperature falls below the set
temperature, the Unit will automatically
start heating and blowing hot air again.
• If the Remote Power Button is used
to deactivate the Unit while the Unit is
heating and blowing hot air, the fan will
continue to blow for 15 seconds before
stopping completely. The Display will
show a 15-second countdown until the
fan has powered off. The Unit will still be
on but will not produce heat.
• If the Unit Power Switch is used to turn
off the Unit, the fan will stop blowing
immediately.

Tip-Over Safety Switch
Cleaning
The Unit is tted with a safety device that switches off the heater in the event of
overheating. If the Unit stops working, turn the Unit off using the Power Switch,
allow the Unit to cool, and inspect the vents for blockage. Disconnect the Power
Cord from the power outlet and wait at least 10 minutes for the protection system
to reset before attempting to restart the Unit. If the Unit still does not turn on,
make sure that the power cord has been disconnected for at least 10 minutes. If
the Unit still does not work, contact Customer Service.
NOTE: If you do not plan to use the Unit for an extended period, disconnect the
Power Cord from the power outlet.
To protect your safety, your heater is tted with a tip-over safety switch that cuts
off power to the heating element when the Unit is lifted up or tipped over. If this
happens, the fan continues blowing and the Fireplace Effect light remains on.
When the Unit is returned to a stable, level surface, power is restored to the
heating element.
1. Disconnect the Power Cord from the power outlet.
2. Wipe the outside of the Unit with a dry or damp cloth. Do not use petroleum,
detergents, or chemical solvents to clean the heater.
Storage
When the Unit is not in use for a long time, it should be protected from dust and
stored in a dry, clean place.
After an extended storage period, clean any dust from the Unit before use.
