Wirelessly connect the Tumi Travel Speaker to your Bluetooth-equipped mobile device and get amazing
room-filling stereo sound from this incredibly small, portable speaker. It also acts as a speakerphone
for hands-free conferencing and features a 3.5 mm input for listening to music from any device with a
standard headphone port. Compatible with most popular devices, it comes with a convenient ballistic
pouch and cable.

OPERATION
1) Direct Connect using 3.5mm cable
•Move “RESET/ON” button to “ON”
•Depress Power button
•Insert 3.5mm cable to “AUDIO IN” Port
•Connect 3.5mm cable to audio source jack
(laptops and non-Bluetooth devices)
•Initiate audio playback from audio device controls
•Volume and Track controls are disabled with Direct-Connect Cable
2) Recharging the Internal Battery
•Make sure the “RESET/ON” button is set to “ON”
•Plug the Mini USB end of the included USB cable into the USB charging port on the back of the Tumi
Travel Speaker
•Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer or other devices made for USB charging
•The LED light will begin to flash BLUE
•It will stop flashing at full charge. Charge time is two hours from an empty battery.
Note: Always be sure to switch the Tumi Travel Speaker to the “RESET” position when not in use to save
battery charge.

3) Bluetooth Pairing
Your Tumi Travel Speaker can pair with most Bluetooth 2.0 devices. Pairing may vary by device; consult
your Bluetooth owner’s manual for pairing instructions.
PUTTING TUMI TRAVEL SPEAKER INTO PAIRING MODE
1. Turn the “RESET/ON” to the “ON” position.
2. Press and hold down the “Power/Pair” button , until the light on the front starts blinking red and blue.
This indicates that it is in pairing mode.
Note: Tumi Travel Speaker will stay in pairing mode for three minutes. If you do not complete the next
steps before then, simply turn the “RESET/ON” to “RESET” and then back to “ON” and repeat Step 2.
PAIRING WITH IPAD, IPHONE OR IPOD TOUCH
1. Put Tumi Travel Speaker into pairing mode.
2. On your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, touch the Settings icon, then select “General.” Select the
“Bluetooth” option. If it is turned “OFF,” slide to “ON.” You should see “Tumi” as one of the detected
devices.
3. Touch the “Tumi” option. A pop up window will appear, with the message: “Tumi” would like to pair with
your device. Would you like to allow it to pair?
4. Select “Pair.” Your device is now connected to the Tumi Travel Speaker. For pairing with non-Apple
mobile devices, please consult that device’s owner’s manual.
RECONNECTION
If your device and the Tumi Travel Speaker are disconnected, they can be reconnected by:
1. Short pressing the “Power/Pair” button on the Tumi Travel Speaker.
2. Select “Tumi” from your device for reconnection.
Note: After pairing, the Tumi Travel Speaker will also “auto-connect” with compatible devices that auto-
search and re-connect with their last connecting device if disconnection should occur.
PAIRING WITH BLUETOOTH EQUIPPED MAC
You can pair the Tumi Travel Speaker with a Bluetooth 2.0 equipped Mac for listening to music or for use
as a speakerphone with iChat, Skype and other online video/voice chat clients.
1. Put Tumi Travel Speaker into pairing mode.
2. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and then click “Bluetooth.”
3. If it is not already checked, click the box to the word “On” to enable Bluetooth.
4. Click Add (+). The Bluetooth Setup Assistant will launch automatically. Click “Continue.”
5. On the next screen, select “Headset” and then click “Continue.”
6. The device “Tumi” should show up. Click to highlight, and then click “Continue.”
7. After your computer gathers information, click “Continue.” If asked for a passkey, enter 0000 and click
“Continue.” The Tumi Travel Speaker will now be paired with your Mac. Click “Quit.” If you have a
Bluetooth-equipped Windows PC, please consult your owner’s manual for pairing instructions.
Note: Not all Macs support Bluetooth. Please consult your owner’s manual. If your Mac does not support
Bluetooth, you can connect with a 3.5 mm Direct-Connect cable and listen to music through the Tumi
Travel Speaker. See section, Direct Connect using 3.5mm cable.
4) PLAYBACK WHEN CONNECTED VIA BLUETOOTH:
Using the appropriate controls, push the corresponding button:
•Select music to play in Bluetooth device
•Press for Play / Pause
•Press for next song
•Press for previous song
•Press or to adjust volume level or adjust it from your Bluetooth device
•Press and hold key until logo light turns off
5) TAKING CALLS ON AN IPHONE
When you receive an incoming call, an alert will sound from the Tumi Travel Speaker. If you are listening to
music from your iPhone, the music will automatically pause.
To accept a call: You can accept a call as you usually do; using your iPhone controls or press the “Play/
Pause” button . Speak normally. Your call will come through the speakers and your voice will be picked
up through the built-in microphone.
To end a call: Use your iPhone controls or press the “Play/Pause” button just as you would to accept a call.
To reject a call: Use your iPhone controls or press and hold the “Play/Pause” button .
To use call waiting: Use you iPhone controls or press and release the “Play/Pause” button twice in
succession to put the first call on hold and answer the incoming call. Repeat to switch back to the first call.
6) PAIRING WITH TRUEWIRELESS
For the ultimate sound quality, it is recommended that you have two speakers to pair with TrueWireless.
The following directions are based on using two speakers.
•Turn on Speaker 1; a Blue LED will light
•Enter into “Normal Pair” mode by pressing the Power button “ ”; Red; Blue LED lights will flash while
in “Normal Pair” mode
•Speaker 1 is now paired with your phone
•Turn on Speaker 2; a Blue LED will light
•Put both Speakers 1 and 2 into “Partner Pair” mode by pressing “Power + Vol Up ” buttons
together; Red and Blue LEDs will light momentarily
•Put speakers close to each other. Wait until a red LED lights in each. An indicator signal will then sound
from both speakers
•Connect your phone with Speaker 1 by selecting “Speaker 1” from the Bluetooth Device List on your
phone
•The TrueWireless System is now in place. Both speakers will play music (right and left channels)
simultaneously; Speaker 1 will flash red and Speaker 2 will be solid Red

Since our founding in 1975, Tumi has been committed to providing our customers with an ownership
experience that is second to none. Specifically, we make three promises to our customers:
1. You will enjoy using innovative products that are designed and manufactured to be the best;
2. You will experience world-class customer service for as long you own your product;
3. For two (2) years after you purchase Tumi small leather goods or accessories, virtually any problem
that you encounter with the product will be covered by our warranty.
Tumi’s warranty is just a small part of the ownership experience that we provide to our customers, and you
will find that it is straightforward and comprehensive.
FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP: TOTALLY WORRY FREE
For the first twelve (12) months of ownership, if any damage – including wear and tear - happens to your
Tumi product, Tumi will cover all repair expenses, including shipping costs to and from our repair facility.
The only exceptions to this are purely cosmetic damage, such as scratched leather, and incidental or
consequential damages, such as damage to, or loss of, the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time,
or similar expenses.
YEAR TWO: FULL COVERAGE
Through your second year of ownership, Tumi will cover all of the repair costs for any problems that
result from defective materials or workmanship or damage from wear and tear. The only exceptions to
this are damage caused by obvious abuse of the product, purely cosmetic damage and incidental or
consequential damages as described above. Your only responsibility is to ship your item to us for repair,
or take it to a Tumi store or authorized Tumi dealer, who will be happy to process the repair for a nominal
handling and shipping fee. Many repairs can actually be handled right in the store, but if your item does
need to be sent to our facility, we will repair it quickly and ship it back at no cost to you. In those rare cases
mentioned above where our warranty does not apply, we will promptly provide you with an estimate of any
repair costs that may be involved.
A LIFETIME OF SERVICE
It is extremely rare that we see an accessory product problem due to a manufacturing defect show up
after two years of use, but we do have many customers with older items that they would like to have
refurbished. For these customers, we offer a lifetime of courteous, responsive service and the highest
quality repairs and refurbishment done at the lowest possible cost.

PROOF OF PURCHASE
Please save your store receipt as proof of purchase. This will be needed to facilitate your first year worry-
free coverage. Additionally, this will serve as proof that your purchase was made at an authorized Tumi
retailer. Our warranty services only apply to products that were purchased from an authorized Tumi store
or dealer.
