WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS, OBSERVE
THE FOLLOWING:
1. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. If you have questions, contact the
customer service staff.
2. Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power off at service panel and lock service panel to
prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting means
cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service
panel.
3. Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by a qualified technician in accordance with
all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction codes and standards.
4. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney)
of fuel burning equipment to prevent back drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s
guidelines and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
5. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden
utilities.
6. Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
7. Do not use this unit with any separate solid-state speed control device.
8. To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal ductwork.
9. This unit must be grounded.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:
A. Never leave surface unit unattended at high settings. Overheating may cause smoking and
greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.
B. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambéing food (i.e. Crepes
Suzette, Cherries Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef Flambé).
C. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or
filter.
D. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.
WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY TO PERSONS IN THE EVENT OF A RANGE TOP GREASE
FIRE, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:*
1. SMOTHER FLAMES with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or metal tray, then turn off the burner.
BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT BURNS. If the flames do not go out immediately, EVACUATE AND
CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
2. NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN - You may be burned.
3. DO NOT USE WATER, including wet dishcloths or towels - violent steam explosion will result.
4. Use an extinguisher ONLY if:
A.You know you have a Class ABC extinguisher and you already know how to operate it.
B. The fire is small and contained in the area where it started.
C. The fire department has been called.
D. You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

CAUTION
1. To reduce risk of fire and to properly exhaust air, be sure to duct air outside. Do not vent exhaust
air into spaces within walls or ceilings or into attics, crawl spaces, or garages.
2. Take care when using cleaning agents or detergents.
3. Avoid using food products that produce flames under the Range Hood.
4. For general ventilating use only. Do not use to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and
vapours.
5. To avoid motor bearing damage and noisy and/or unbalanced impellers, keep drywall spray,
construction dust, etc. off power unit.
6. Your hood motor has a thermal overload which will automatically shut off the motor if it becomes
overheated. The motor will restart when it cools down. If the motor continues to shut off and
restart, have the hood serviced.
7. For best capture of cooking impurities, the bottom of the hood should be a minimum of 24" (61
cm) and a maximum of 30" (76 cm) above the cooking surface.
8. Two installers are recommended because of the large size and weight of this hood.
9. This product is equipped with a thermostat which may start blower automatically. To reduce the
risk of injury and to prevent power from being switched on accidentally, switch power off at
service panel and lock or tag service panel.
10. Use with approved wiring for electrical connections only.
11. Please read specification label on product for further information and requirements.

Unpack hood and check contents.

WARNING
Note: This range hood must be properly
grounded. The unit should be installed by a
qualified electrician in accordance with all
applicable national and local electrical codes.
The minimum hood distance above cooktop must not
be less than 24" (61 cm). A maximum of 30" (76 cm)
above cooktop is highly recommended for best
capture of cooking impurities. Distances over 30” are
at the installer and user's discretion.
INSTALL THE DUCTWORK
NOTE: To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal
ductwork.
1. Decide where the ductwork will run between the hood and the outside.
2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood to perform most efficiently.
3. Install the aluminum flex duct on the vent towards hood location.
4. Set the electrical power supply within the space covered by the decorative flue.
Position the outlet offset so that the power cord will not interfere with the round
duct. Place the outlet at a maximum distance of 33 7/16” from where the cord exits
from the hood (see illustration alongside). Make sure this does not interfere with
a mounting bracket fastening area or with the decorative flue (where the flue
touches the wall).

INSTALL MOUNTING BRACKETS
1. After evaluating the height of the hood installation, drill 3
holes of Ø8mm at the appropriate location to fix the
mounting brackets.
2.Put the drywall anchors into the holes and fix the
mounting bracket by mounting screws (4*40mm) into the
anchors.
INSTALL BRACKET OF UPPER FLUE
1. Calculate the final height of the U-shaped section, drill 2 holes
of Ø8mm at the appropriate location in line with the bracket of
upper flue.
2. Install the drywall anchors into the holes and fix the bracket of
upper flue by mounting screws (4*40mm) into the anchors.
3. Then, drill 2 holes for the bracket of lower flue, insert drywall
anchors into the holes; they will be used to install screws to lock
the bracket of lower flue.

PREPARE THE HOOD
Note: On stainless steel hoods, carefully remove all foam packaging and the plastic
protective film from all exterior surfaces of the hood and decorative flues, prior to final
installation.
1. Pick out the hood from the carton.
2. Install the vent into the duct connector of the range
hood by 4pcs 4*8MM screws.
3. Install the flexible aluminum duct (use cable tie if
required)

INSTALL THE HOOD
Note: at least two people will be required to mount
the hood.
1. Raise the hood into its mounting position.
2. Align the rectangular opening on the back of the hood
with the wall-mounting bracket. Gently lower the hood
until it securely engages the bracket.
3. Open the filter and find the two φ8 mm holes on the
back of the hood. Drill 2 holes in the wall, put drywall
anchors provided.
4. Adjust the height of the flue to finalize the installation. Then fix
the bracket of lower flue with two screws (4*8mm) between upper
and lower flue.
5. Install the flues onto the range hood, use the other two
screws (4*8mm) to attach the bottom of flue, then fix the
bracket of lower flue to the wall by 4*40MM screws.
6. Slide up the upper flue as shown, use two screws(4*8mm)to attach the
upper flue to the bracket.
7.After adjusting the position, open the filter and install the inner
panel in place with safety screws (ST4 *30MM+washer).

MAINTENANCE
Proper maintenance of the Range Hood will ensure
proper performance of the unit.
Filters
The filters must be cleaned approximately once every
30 hours of operation.
Use a warm detergent solution. Grease filters are
dishwasher safe.
Remove filter by pushing filter towards the back of hood
and rotating filter downward.
Hood Cleaning
Stainless steel is one of the easiest materials
to keep clean. Occasional care will help preserve its
fine appearance.
Cleaning tips:
Hot water with soap or detergent is all that is usually
required.
Follow all cleaning by rinsing with clear water. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth to avoid water
marks.
For discolorations or deposits that persist, use a non-scratching household cleanser or stainless
steel polishing powder with a little water and a soft cloth.
For stubborn cases, use a plastic scouring pad or soft bristle brush with cleanser and water. Rub
lightly in direction of polishing lines or "grain" of the stainless finish. Avoid using too much
pressure, which may mar the surface.
DO NOT allow deposits to remain on surface for long periods of time.
DO NOT use ordinary steel wool or steel brushes. Small bits of steel may adhere to the surface
causing rust.
DO NOT allow salt solutions, disinfectants, bleaches, or cleaning compounds to remain in
contact with stainless steel for extended periods. Many of these compounds contain chemicals
which may be harmful. Rinse with water after exposure and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Painted surfaces should be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent only.

• Lights:
oPress the light button to turn halogen lights on and off.
• Power settings:
oPress the button once and the motor starts to operate at Low speed
oPress the button again and the motor will reach Medium speed.
oPress the button once more and the motor will reach High speed.
oPress the button to lower speeds in succession until the motor stops working (power
off).
• Timer function:
oThe control system provides the option to run the motor for a predetermined time period in
order to evacuate remaining vapours from me kitchen,
oPress the (timer) button while the motor is running. The motor will shut off
automatically after 10 minutes
HALOGEN BULBS
ALWAYS SWITCH OFF THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AT THE MAIN PANEL BEFORE
CARRYING OUT ANY OPERATION ON THE APPLIANCE.
To change the bulbs
1 Use a screwdriver to pull out shade and the glass.
CAUTION: BULB MAY BE HOT,PLEASE TAKE OUT
THE BULB WHEN THE BULB IS COMPLETELY
COOL!
2 Replace with a 12Volt, 20Watt max, G-4 base bulb. Do
not touch replacement bulb with bare hands!
3 Install the glass and shade back in place after replacing
the bulb.

This warranty covers all defects in workmanship or materials for:
The mechanical and electrical parts contained in this product, for a period of 12 months, from the
date of purchase. You must be able to provide your original sales receipt as proof of the date of
purchase. This warranty covers only the original retail purchaser of this product. The dealer will
repair or replace, in your home, any mechanical or electrical part which proves defective in normal
household use for a period of 12 months.

ATTENTION
1. Pour réduire les risques d'incendie et évacuer l'air correctement, assurez-vous que la ventilation est
dirigée vers l'extérieur. N'évacuez pas l'air extrait dans les murs, le plafond, le grenier, le vide sanitaire
ou le garage.
2. Soyez prudent lorsque vous utilisez des agents de nettoyage ou des détergents.
3. Évitez d'utiliser des aliments qui produisent des flammes sous la hotte.
4. Pour ventilation générale seulement. N'utilisez pas cet appareil pour évacuer des matières et des
vapeurs explosives ou dangereuses.
5. Pour ne pas endommager les paliers du moteur et pour éviter que les hélices soient bruyantes et/ou
déséquilibrées, évitez que les vaporisations du conduit, la poussière de construction, etc. n'entrent en
contact avec le moteur.
6. Le moteur de votre hotte comporte un dispositif de protection contre la surcharge qui arrêtera
automatiquement le moteur s'il surchauffe. Le moteur redémarrera après avoir refroidi. Si le moteur
continue à s'arrêter et à redémarrer, faites réparer la hotte.
7. Pour une meilleure captation des odeurs de cuisson, le bas de la hotte doit être situé au moins 61 cm
(24 po) et au maximum 76 cm (30 po) au-dessus de la surface de cuisson.
8. Deux installateurs sont recommandés pour l'installation de la hotte, à cause de la taille et du poids de
celle-ci.
9. Ce produit est équipé d'un thermostat qui peut démarrer le ventilateur automatiquement. Pour réduire
le risque de blessure et empêcher une mise sous tensions accidentelle de l'alimentation, mettez hors
tension au niveau du panneau de service et bloquez ce dernier ou apposez une plaque de signalisation
dessus.
10. Utilisez uniquement des fils électriques approuvés pour les raccordements électriques.

AVERTISSEMENT
Remarque: Ce ventilateur doit être correctement mis à la
terre. L'unité doit être installée par un électricien qualifié
en conformité avec les codes de câblage électrique
nationaux et locaux.
La distance minimum de la hotte au-dessus de la surface de
cuisson ne doit pas être inférieure à 61 cm (24 po). Une
distance maximum de 76 cm (30 po) au-dessus de la surface
de cuisson est fortement recommandée pour une meilleure
captation des odeurs de cuisson. Les distances supérieures
à 76cm (30 po) sont à la discrétion de l'installateur et de
l'utilisateur.
INSTALLATION DU CONDUIT
REMARQUE: Afin de réduire le risque d’incendie, utilisez uniquement des conduits en métal.
1. Déterminez l'emplacement des conduits de ventilation entre la hotte et l'extérieur.
2. Un conduit droit et court permettra à la hotte d'avoir des performances optimales.
3. Installez le conduit flexible en aluminium sur l'évent en direction de l'emplacement de la hotte.
4. Installer l’alimentation électrique dans l’espace qui sera couvert par le conduit
décoratif. Placer la prise de façon désaxée et à une distance maximale de 337/16 po de l’endroit où le fil
sort de la hotte (voir l’illustration ci-contre). S’assurer qu’elle n’interfère pas avec l’emplacement de
fixation d’un support de montage ou avec le conduit décoratif (à l’endroit où il touche le mur).

INSTALLATION DES SUPPORTS DE
MONTAGE
1. Après avoir évalué la hauteur de l'installation de la hotte, percez
3 trous de Ø8mm à un endroit approprié où vous fixerez les
supports de fixation.
2. Placez les chevilles d'ancrage dans les trous et fixez le
support de fixation à l'aide des vis de montage (4*40mm) dans
les chevilles.
INSTALLATION DU SUPPORT DU
CONDUIT SUPÉRIEUR
1. Calculez la hauteur finale de la section en forme de U, percez 2
trous de Ø8mm à un endroit approprié aligné avec le support du
conduit supérieur.
2.Placez les chevilles d'ancrage dans les trous et fixez le support
du conduit supérieur à l'aide des vis de montage (4*40mm) dans
les chevilles.
3. Percez 2 trous pour le support du conduit inférieur, et insérez des
chevilles d'ancrage dans les trous. Ces 2 trous sont destinés aux vis
qui bloquent le support du conduit inférieur.

PRÉPARATION DE LA HOTTE
Remarque: Sur les hottes en acier inoxydable, retirez soigneusement tous les matériaux
d'emballage en mousse et la pellicule de protection en plastique des surfaces extérieures de la
hotte et des conduits décoratifs, avant l'installation
finale.
1.Sortez la hotte de la boîte.
2.Installez l'évent dans le raccord de conduit de la hotte
à l'aide de 4 vis 4*8MM.
3.Fixez le conduit flexible en aluminium (utilisez un
attache-câble si nécessaire)

INSTALLATION DE LA HOTTE
Remarque: au moins deux personnes sont nécessaires
pour monter la hotte.
1. Placez la hotte dans sa position de montage.
2.Alignez l'ouverture rectangulaire au dos de la hotte avec
le support de fixation murale. Abaissez doucement la hotte
jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'engage solidement dans le support.
3.Ouvrez le filtre en aluminium et cherchez les deux trous
de φ8 mm au dos de la hotte. Percez 2 trous dans le mur,
insérez les chevilles d'ancrage fournies.
4.Réglez la hauteur du conduit afin de fixer l'installation. Fixez ensuite
le support du conduit inférieur avec deux vis (4*8 mm) entre le
conduit supérieur et le conduit inférieur.
5.Placez les conduits sur la hotte, utilisez les deux autres vis
(4*8mm) pour fixer le bas du conduit, puis fixez le support du

6. Soulevez le conduit supérieur comme sur l'image, utilisez deux vis
(4*8mm) pour fixer le conduit supérieur au support.
7. Après avoir ajusté la position, ouvrez le filtre et fixez le
panneau à l'intérieur avec des vis de sécurité (ST4
*30MM+rondelle).
