Thank you for purchasing UGREEN products. For optimum operation, please read this manual carefully before using.
Please back up all your data before using the product.
Formatting needed when switching RAID mode or partitioning drives, please back up your data.
Please safely eject the hard drive from your laptop/PC in case of data loss.
Do not unplug the hard drive when copying data in case of file loss or drive damage.
If there is any loss, corruption of data caused by improper operation or deliberate damage,
the data restoration will not be covered by the warranty. Make sure to back up your important data regularly.

Remove the fixing plates, then put the hard drive on the drive tray. Install back the fixing plates and be careful of their direction.
Squeeze the tray handle
then pull the tray out.

3 Put Drive Tray Back Into the Enclosure

Pins of the hard drive face down.
Put the 2.5-inch hard drive on the drive tray.
Flip the tray over and make sure that the four holes of hard drive align with
those of the tray, then screw the hard drive firmly.
As the following picture, remove one of the plates first.
Put the drive tray back into the enclosure,
then slowly push it to the SATA port.
Do not unplug the hard drive when the device is powered on, please follow the steps below:
① Safely eject the hard drive from your PC/laptop
② Turn the device off and take out the hard drive.

1. Connect the enclosure to your PC / laptop via the provided cable, then connect to the power adapter.
2. Power on the device, the power indicator turns solid white.
Non-standard or non-certified adapters are not allowed in case of the potential risks.

When one of the hard drives fails, all of the data cannot be restored.

Switching for the first time

1. Select an array mode based on "RAID Modes & DIP Switch", and adjust the DIP switch "1/2" respectively.
2. Press and Hold "RESET" for 10 seconds then release the button. The mode change succeeds if the drive indicator flashes white.
3. Go to "This PC"> "Manage" > "Computer management" > "Device manager", then check the current RAID mode.
3 Drive Partitioning and Formatting
Windows
Online drive and drive partitioning after switching RAID mode. The formatting may differ depending on the different operating system,
please check your operating system for reference.
Online drive: connect the hard drive to PC/laptop . Go to "This PC" > "Manage" > "Storage" > "Disk Management" and select the correct hard
drive to "Initialize Disk".
Warning
It is recommended that you use a brand new hard drive of the same capacity.
If you use an old hard drive, please format it before switching the RAID mode, and back up all of your important data.
The default mode of the product is PM mode.
