Intended use
The PETRACKR®Veterinary Blood Glucose Monitoring
System is intended to be used for the quantitative
measurement of glucose (sugar) in fresh capillary
whole blood samples drawn from the pinna or paw pad
samples. The system is intended to be used by a single
pet and should not be shared.
The PETRACKR®Veterinary Blood Glucose Monitoring
System is intended for in vitro diagnostic use for
blood glucose monitoring of cats and dogs as part
of diabetes management, to be used by veterinary
professionals and pet owners. The PETRACKR®
Veterinary Blood Glucose Monitoring System is not for
use on critically ill patients/pets, patients/pets in shock,
dehydrated patients/pets or hyperosmolar pets.
Test principle
Glucose in the blood sample mixes with the enzyme
FAD-GDH (Seepage86) in the test strip and a small
electric current is produced. The strength of this current
changes with the amount of glucose in the blood
sample.
Your analyzer measures the current and calculates the
blood glucose level. It then displays the blood glucose
result and stores it in the analyzer memory.
