Before you progra or operate the re ote
control, you ust install two new AA
alkaline batteries.
STEP1 Re ove the battery co part ent cover
fro the back of your re ote control.
STEP2 Check battery polarity carefully,
and install the batteries as shown
in the illustration below.

Note : Inthissection,whenyouareinstructedtopressa[DEVICE]button,thatmeansyoushou dpresseitherthe
CBLorTVbutton,dependingonwhichdeviceyouareprogrammingtheremotetooperate.

STEP1 Turn on the equip ent you want to progra . To progra your TV, turn on the TV.

STEP2 Point the re ote at the co ponent and press and hold the [DEVICE] key for 3 seconds until the Device LED blinks
off and turns back on. Continue holding the [DEVICE] key and press the nu berkeys, one at a ti e, starting with 1,
then2, 3...0. Stop pressing the nu ber keys when the device turns off.
STEP3 Release the [DEVICE] key to save the code. The Device LED will blink twice to confir the code is stored.
Repeat the steps above for all co ponents(STB, TV).

The re ote control can be progra ed by entering a three-digit code nu ber that corresponds to particular brands and
odels of equip ent. The three-digit code nu bers are listed in the code tables sections of this instruction anual.
STEP1 Turn on the equip ent that you want the re ote con-trol to operate (Set Top Box or TV).
STEP2 Press the [DEVICE] button and the [OK/SEL] button si ultaneously for 3 seconds. The corresponding device LED
will turn on indicating that it is ready to be pro-gra ed. The LED will re ain on for 30 seconds. The next step
ust be entered while the LED is on.
STEP3 Point the re ote control toward the equip ent and enter the three-digit code nu ber assigned to your brand
fro the code tables. If there are ore than one three-digit nu ber listed for your brand, try one code
nu ber at a ti e until your equip ent turns off.
Note: Youcanverifythatyouhavese ectedthecorrectcodebypressingthe[POWER]button. Theequipmentshou d turn
backon.Thentrya ofthefunctionsontheremotecontro (i.e.vo ume,mute,etc.)toensureyouhavethe
correctcode.Ifanyofthefunctionsdonotoperateastheyshou d,repeattheinstructionsfromSTEP3above
usingthenextthreedigitcodenumberfromthebrand ist.
STEP4 Store the three-digit code by pressing the sa e [DEVICE] button once again. The device LED will blink twice to
confir that the code has been stored.

If none of the three digit code nu bers assigned to your brand of equip ent works, or the code table does not list your
brand, you can use the Auto Search Method to find the correct three-digit code nu ber for your equip ent by
following steps:
STEP1 Turn on the equip ent that you want the re ote control to operate (Set Top Box or TV).
STEP2 Press the [DEVICE] button and the [OK/SEL] button si ultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will turn on
indicating that it is ready to be progra ed. The LED will re ain on for 30 seconds. The next step ust be enter-
ed while the LED is on.
STEP3 Press the [CH5] or [CH6] button one at a ti e or keep it pressed. The re ote will e it a series of Power
ON/OFF code signals. Release the [CH5] or [CH6] button as soon as the equip ent turns off.
Note: Youcanverifythatyouhavese ectedthecorrectcodebypressingthe[POWER]button.Theequipmentshou d
turnbackon.Thentrya ofthefunctionsontheremotecontro (i.e.vo ume,mute,etc.)toensureyouhavethe
correctcode.Ifanyofthefunctionsdonotoperateastheyshou d,repeattheinstructionsfromSTEP3aboveto
continuetheAutoSearchMethod.
STEP4 Press the sa e [DEVICE] button to store the code. The Device LED will blink twice to confir that the code has
been stored.

D.ProgrammingtheA OffButton ProgrammingtheA OffButton
This allows you to progra the All Off button so it can send up to two power On/Off co ands with one button press.
STEP1 Press the [STB] button.
STEP2 Press the [All OFF] button and the [OK/SEL] button si ultaneously for 3 seconds. The [STB] button will turn on
for 30 seconds.
STEP3 Press the first [Device] button you want to store in the [ALL OFF] button and then the [POWER] button. Repeat

this for other Device until you have stored all the desired power co ands into the [ALL OFF] button.
STEP4 Press the [CH5] button to save the power co ands you stored. The [STB] button will blink twice to confir
the Device have been saved.

E.ProgrammingforOnDemand ProgrammingforOnDemand Button Button
The On De and Button can be progra ed to act as a ‘Macro’ or Favorite Channel button in CABLE ode. This allows you to
progra up to five 2-digit channels, four 3-digit channels or three 4-digit channels that can be accessed with one button
press.
STEP1 Press the [CBL] button to select the CBL ode.
STEP2 Press the [On De and Button] button and [OK/SEL] button si ultaneously for 3 seconds. The [CBL] button will turn on
for 30 seconds.
STEP3 Enter the the 2, 3 or 4-digit code for the channel you want progra ed first (for exa ple, 007) using the
Nu ber Pad, then press the [FAV] button. Then enter the code for the next channel (for exa ple, 050), then
press the [FAV] button. Repeat this process for the third channel. The [CBL] button will blink once for each
channel entered.
STEP4 Press the [CH5] button to store the channels that were selected. The [CBL] button will blink twice to confir
the storage of co ands.

By default, the VOL+, VOL- and MUTE keys operate through your TV. If you would like those keys to operate those
functions on a different device, follow these steps.
STEP1 Press the [OK/SEL] button and [STB] button si ultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will turn on for 30 seconds. The
next step ust be perfor ed while the LED is on.
STEP2 Press the [VOL+] button. The device LED will blink.
STEP3 Press the [DEVICE] button corresponding to the device that you would like the volu e and ute buttons to control.
The device LED will blink twice to confir the progra ing.
Note: If you wish to have the volume and mute keys
operate your Set Top Box, press the [STB] button in
Step 3.

By default, the CH-up, CH-down keys operate through your Set Top Box. If you would like those keys to operate those functions on a
different device, follow these steps.
STEP1 Press the [OK/SEL] button and [STB] button si ultaneously for 3 seconds. The device LED will turn on for 30
seconds. The next step ust be perfor ed while the LED is on.
STEP2 Press the [VOL-] button. The device LED will blink.
STEP3 Press [TV] button. The device LED will blink twice to confir the progra ing.
Note: IfyouwishtohavethechannekeysoperateyourSetTopBox,pressthe[STB]buttoninsteadofthe[TV]buttoninStep3.
