SAFETY WARNINGS
-This machine has been manufactured to “make coffee”. Never use other extracts, cocoa powder, chamomile,
other infusions or soluble substances: these may block the holes in the filter.
-This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

–staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
–by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
–bed and breakfast type environments.
-This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
-Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
-The appliance is only to be used with the stand provided.
-When using the appliance do not pour the water and avoid spillage on the connector.
-During cleaning, never immerse the base and the boiler in water: this is an electrical appliance.
-Be careful to avoid being scalded by spraying water or steam or due to the improper use of the appliance.
-When using the appliance do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the buttons or handles.
-After having removed the packaging, check that the appliance is in fact. If in doubt, do not use the
appliance and contact a professionally qualified person.
-The parts of the packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) not must be left within the reach of
children, as they are potential sources of danger.
-The appliance must work only connected to a power outlet; never use it directly on flames.
-Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
-In the event of faults or malfunctioning of the appliance, switch it off and not tamper with it.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
-Fill the boiler with water before placing the Moka coffee maker on the support base.
-Do not let the power cable come into contact with the metallic parts of the Moka coffee maker when in
operation.
INSTALLATION
.Place the appliance on a bench away from water taps
and sinks.
.Check that the voltage of the mains power supply corresponds to the value indicated on the appliance’s
rating plate. Only connect the appliance to a power outlet with a minimum rating of 6A that is properly
earthed. The manufacturer declines all liability for any accidents caused if the system is not correctly
earthed.
. If the power outlet does not match the plug on the appliance , have the outlet repeated with a suitable type
by qualified personnel.

HOW TO PREPARE THE COFFEE
1) Check that the coffee maker is cold, and then unscrew it by holding the boiler with one hand and turning
the pitcher anticlockwise with the other (Fig.1).
2) Remove the funnel and fill the boiler with fresh water until reaching the safety valve ( visible inside the
boiler),without exceeding it (Fig.2).
TIP: use fresh and soft water. Salty or hard water will weaken the taste.
IMPORTANT: do not use the coffee maker without water in the boiler or alternatively using
hot water for faster operation .
3) Insert the funnel in the boiler. ( Fig. 3).
4) Fill up the coffee powder funnel with ground coffee.(Fig.4)
IMPORTANT: Use good quality, medium-ground coffee, for MOKA coffee makers.
5) Take the tamper and press the coffee powder with some strength(Fig. 5).
6) Fill up the funnel a little more coffee powder. (Fig. 6)
7) Take the tamper again and press the coffee powder with some strength(Fig. 7).
TIP: make sure the coffee powder under the funnel edge 4-6mm. (Fig. 15).
8) Tighten the coffee maker securely , without exaggerating, holding the boiler with one hand and turning
the pitcher clockwise with the other, without pushing on the handle
9) Rest the coffee maker on the base ( Fig. 8) . Close the lid.
10) Press the on/off switch (Fig. 9)
11) The coffee will start to be released after a few minutes.
12) Enjoy the espresso coffee.

IMPORTANT: the first time that the coffee maker is used, all the accessories and the internal
circuits should be washed with hot water. Then make a few batches of coffee to throw away.
CLEANING AND MAINTENCE
. Before performing the cleaning operations, wait for the coffee maker to have cooled down after use.
. Thoroughly rinse the interior of the boiler with warm or cool water.
. Dry the appliance with a dry cloth after cleaning.
. Regularly check the funnel and the gasket. Replace if there are signs of wear or deterioration. Use original
spare parts only.
. After brew the coffee, clean the disk filter 1 with the sponge every time. (Fig. 10)
. Every so often check that the holes in the disk filter 2 is not blocked; if necessary, clean using a pin. (Fig.
11)
. Clean the inside of the tube and poke the hole with a pin once a week. (Fig. 12)
. Do not wash the coffee maker in the dishwasher. (Fig. 13)
.When cleaning do not use solvents or abrasive detergents. Simply clean it with a sponge, keeping attention
not to wet the electrical parts.
.Never rinse the boiler under the tap water and never immerse it in water. (Fig. 14)

2. Instructions on environment protection
Do not dispose of this product in the usual household garbage at the end of its life cycle; hand it
over at a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. The symbol on
the product, the instructions for use or the packing will inform about the methods for disposal.
The materials are recyclable as mentioned in its marking. By recycling, material recycling or other
forms of re-utilization of old appliances, you are making an important contribution to protect our
environment. Please inquire at the community administration for the authorized disposal location.
