Installation
It is recommended that the BT35 be installed by qualified professionals.
When installing the BT35, beware of sharp edges and exercise caution
when removing panels and trim as they may break. Please review the
manual while installing and pairing the BT35 to ensure that it functions
properly.
Cable Connection
1. Make sure DIP switches are still in their default settings: all OFF.
2. Remove all CDs from the in-dash CD player/changer
before disconnecting the radio.
3. Carefully remove the radio from the dashboard.
4. Connect the CAS-H35 to the 14-pin connector
in the back of your radio. (If your radio has a
factory XM receiver already connected,
disconnect the receiver and plug it into the
CAS-H35.)
5. Connect the CAS-H35 cable to the
BT35 in the box labeled “RADIO”.
6. Connect MIC35 to the BT35.
7. Turn on the radio and test to see if your
Bluetooth device works with the radio.

8. Install the BT35 into an easily accessible area.
9. Install the microphone in an area that
will not obscure the voice projection.
10. Reinstall the radio into the dashboard.
MINI-USB is for factory use only.
Please do not attempt to connect
any devices to the mini-USB port.
DIP Switch Setting
The DIP switches on the BT35-HON should all remain on the factory
default settings: all switches on the OFF position.
Device Compatibility

Most Bluetooth devices (such as iPhone3G/3Gs/4/4Gs, iPod Touch 3 /4
generations and Android phones) are compatible with the BT35; however,
USA SPEC does not guarantee that all Bluetooth devices are compatible. For
a current list of the compatible devices, please refer to our website
www.usaspec.com.

Pairing the Bluetooth Device
Steps to Pair Your Bluetooth Device
Step 1: After your BT35 has been installed, turn on the ignition and the radio.
Step 2: Select the CDC (CD Changer) source on your radio by pushing the
CD, XM, or AUX button. This will put the radio in Bluetooth mode
and you should see something similar to
the example pictured. (The button you
push to get to the CDC source may
differ in each vehicle. You may have
to push this button more than once.
Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual
for instructions on accessing the CDC
source.)
Step 3: Make sure your device’s Bluetooth setting is turned “on” and select
“search for new devices”. (Refer to your device’s owner’s manual).
BT35 should show as one of the options.
Step 4: Select the BT35 to pair it with your device. If prompted to enter a
code (some devices may not require you to do so), enter “0000”.
Pairing may take up to 20 sec. When you are connected, you will
hear the voice prompt “Connected”.
Once paired, the BT35 will automatically recognize and connect your
Bluetooth device whenever you turn on your ignition. Please allow up to 20
seconds for the connection to occur.
Additional Pairing Information
ŸSome devices may require additional steps while pairing. Refer to your
device’s owner’s manual.
ŸThe BT35 can be paired with up to 8 devices, but will only connect to 1
device at a time.
ŸFor some vehicles, the BT35 will automatically turn on your radio when
you start the ignition in order to connect with your device.
Streaming Audio
Music and More: Playing Audio through Your Car Speakers
Select the *CD, XM, or AUX button and it will switch to Bluetooth mode
for audio streaming. It can play music/audio from many applications on your
device such as Pandora, SiriusXM Radio, YouTube, Netflix, and many more!
*The button you push will depend on your vehicle. See Pairing Step 2 above for more information.
