InitialSetup:
1.Unboxcartandremoveaccessoriesfrombox.
Find the hot air welder and airless welder ps
and screw them into to the hea!ng elements.
4.Installnitrogentank(argonor argon/CO2
mayalsobeused).Installincluded safety
chainsaroundtank.Adjustheightof toptank
cradleifnecessary.
5.Screwthenitrogenregulatorintothetank.
Do NOT use te"on tape. Tighten securely.

the bo#om inlet port of the cart’s air mani-
fold.

1.Connectclean,dry,oil-freeshop airtoair
inlet.Supplypressureshouldbesetbetween
60-120psi.
2.Setinletpressureregulatoron back of the
welderto 15psi.
3. Adjust %ne "ow control on the air (le&) side
so the "ow meter reads 15 LPM.Youshould
feel aircoming fromthetorch.
4.AdjusthotairtemperaturecontroltoLevel1to
prevent any current "ow to hea'ng element.
5.Plug in and turnon powerstrip.Turnhotairpower
switchon.Verifythattheyellowlightonthe“air”
sideandthegreen“pressuresafe”lightsareglow-
ing.
6.Toturnon thenitrogen,backoutthepressurescrew
onthenitrogentankregulator topreventpossible
overpressurefromdamagingdownstreamcompo-
nentsorthetankregulator.
7.Opennitrogentankvalveslowly.Check thatthe
tankgaugeneedleshowssomepressurein the
tank.

8. Turn pressure screw clockwise un(l the outlet
sidegaugeshows 15psi.
Start-UpProcedure:
10.Switchtheairselector back andforthbetweenairandnitro-
gen,making surethattheyellowlightsindicate whichside is
"owing, that the green pressure safe light is glowing on both
sides, and that you have "ow from the torch on both sides.
Leave on air at all )mes except when you’re actually welding.
13. Watch the instruc*onal DVD to learn how to use the
plas+c welder. Prac,ce on a scrap bumper %rst before
youdoanyactualrepairs.
CAUTION-you must ALWAYS maintain
air ow through the welder while it is hot
orthepower ison.Failure todo sowill
burn out your hea!ng element. Urethane
SupplyCompany DOESNOTWARRANT the
hea"ng element because its life is com-
pletelyunder YOUR control.

CAUTION-you mustuseCLEAN,DRY,
OIL-FREE airforthehotairwelder.Water
and/or oil inside the hea#ng element will
dras$cally shorten its life span.
9. Adjust %ne "ow control on the nitrogen (right)
side so the "ow meter reads 15LPM.Youshould
feelnitrogengascomingfromthetorch.
11. Turn the temperature control dial to the proper level for the plas-c you are working with. Let the welder warm up for
%ve minutes before use.
12.DoNOTleaveon heatlevel 7or8for anylengthof
.me because you will overheat the element! These
se/ngs are appropriate for higher air"ow se0ngs
and thicker plas1cs., NOT for thin plas2cs like used
for most automo3ve parts.

Too Hot!
1.TurnthehotairtemperaturecontroltoLevel1.
This will shut down current "ow to the hea4ng
element. Allow the air to "ow and cool the ele-
ment.
2.Closethenitrogentankvalve.Thiswill prevent
anydownstreamleaks fromdraining thetank
while the welder is o5.
3.Switchtheairselector tothenitrogenside
brie"y to purge the nitrogen from the lines.
Immediately switch back to air to con6nue
cooling the hea7ng element.
4. Let the air "ow for at least 10 minutes or un8l the
aircoming fromthenozzleiscompletelycoolto
the touch. Shut o5the hot air power switch, turn
o5the power strip, and unhook the shop air line.

MUST shut down power to the unit !rst, then let clean, dry, oil-free air "ow un#l the hea$ng ele-
mentiscompletely cool. You are in control of your hea%ng element’s life...UrethaneSupplyCom-
